Neither is running the same instanced dungeon over and over and over because there is nothing else to do...

I liked WoW during beta but that was their 'leveling' part which is very nicely made... and you're done with it in a few weeks. Check their forums just how many people are whining there at the moment there's nothing left for them to do because there is no 'endgame', and you can only level that many alts before it stops being fun, either...

I play WoW and Eve-Online. Both are good games have their strengths and weaknesses.

Eve is a much slower pace and casual game experience, a better player-run economy, more eye-candy, and closer relationships. WoW has about 1,000% more game content than Eve, is a faster paced game, not really eye-candy graphics, hard to make a profit in the economy unless you're 70% above level 1, player relationships are less intimate. One could play WoW and almost get burned out from killing mobs that begin to seem all the same (just a different face) at times, when reaching level 60 there is not much else to do and game content to be challenged with. I reached level 60 as a night Elf Hunter in 6 weeks and have nothing to do in the game except craft, go fishing, and partake in guild raids. Eve has everyone on a single server so we can play with Gamers from around the world simultaneously, while WoW has at least 60+ servers slit between PvP and non-PvP, and global regional servers.

So, from my point of view.. both games are good in their own ways. I like Eve for the friends I have in it and also for the market and financial aspects, not the game content. I play WoW for the game content and being able to do lots of things in a small period of time. I play Eve for the financial market and more casual atmosphere. I do play WoW more though.. but see that in the long run WoW may not be able to keep me addicted to it. Heck, when Dark & Light comes out in April/May, I will try it too since it boast about having everything that both Eve-Online and WoW have provide no matter what playing style you like.

I liked WoW up until my 3rd week as a lvl 60. I had a lvl 60 hunter, lvl 45 warrior, lvl 60 priest, and a lvl 60 rogue.

You can make lvl 60 in 2 weeks. Probably less if you dedicate more time.

It's an alright game.. but eh.. it takes about as much attention and skill as watching cartoons. Westfall looks too much like my old home town though. o.O

As for 1 vs 1 pvp... yeah right. You can duel.. but as far as pvp it's mainly people camping mission spawns, or sitting on top of roofs exploiting the gaurds. Which blizzard says isnt an exploit. o.O (You jump on top of the roof, kill people, and when they attack you back the guards attack the victim instead of the you on the roof.) At least that's how it was before I quit.

I'd reactivate my account if they made some major changes to the easy leveling, and add some end-game content. And battlegrounds don't count. Rolling Eyes As it stands now though, you can solo your way to 60 in no time at all. Nothing to do once you get to 60 (raid the same 6 things over and over again weee fun) and absolutely no challenge. Ever seen smacktalk in eve? You haven't seen anythign yet. The playerbase has an average mentality of a kindergarden in south Ga. Laughing

if you don't wake up, i'll have to stop kissing you. all that flailing has made you sleepy. you rest while i untie you. stay here until they find you. My hand made mannequin. i won't let them get you. they'll know you're mine by the fingerprints on your throat. isn't she lovely? isn't she wonderful? like the *****s that we are, swatting flies from the wounds we design.

No idea why every time i see a WoW Post on these forums it usually contains 90% "wow sucks" replies..

here are the reasons i have 100x more fun playing WoW then i ever had playing EvE

  • The first and by far the most important reason, The Enviorment. The fact that i spent 90% of my playing time in EvE went on watching the same motionless astroid belt, the same motionless ships, the same motionless stations and static surrounding space and planets bored the **** out of me, World of Warcraft has the most beautiful surroundings i have ever seen in a video game, i can spend hours upon hours just exploring and admireing the view.. something eve definetly doesnt have.

  • The game content. Wowwww, its amazing, i spend all day playing the same class on the same faction side yet I learn and find new things i¦ve never even heard about every single hour, new items i can create and make every day.

  • PvP. Damn, this game has such fun PvP that its amazing, Sure, one of the most fun things about EvE is the PvP and its great, but World of Warcraft just takes this one so easy, in WoW i have on numerous occasions fought in big battles where the main goal was to defend a small town from a countless alliance zerg attack, the battle went for like 6 hours before i had to go to sleep and it was still going when i came back, constant FUN pvp. And even though i was fighting against people 30 lvls above me it was fun, sure i¦d die in 1-2 shots but i just stayed back, healed those who needed it for as much as i could and tried to root down allied players that were runnign away. Helping out even though my character was weak.

  • Character Evolution is FAST, and i mean really fast. One of the things that interested me about eve was that it was slow, it would take a long time to see a noticeable difference in your characters abilities but the way it works in WoW is just much more fun, After a day of playing i can cast a bunch of new and more powerful spells, i can fight new and different monsters finding new and cool things to use and wear AND every day i'm making something new in my craft profession though, they arnent as useful as i¦d hope it is in fact, fun.

There are many more things and i dont even want to try to mention them all. The fact just remains the game is a brilliant one with houndreds of things that make it a brilliant game, The simple statement that it sucks without any reasoning is absurd and stupid, Sure maybe its not your type of game and you did not enjoy playing it but it doesnt suck! I dont have fun playing eve any more but it doesnt suck! its actually a brilliant game just not meant for me.
