Ofcourse this was because of the BA-ASCI incident, that they moved to Stain.

That's our mission objective in eve. To trim off the fat and put enough pressure to relocate all freeloaders to empire space.

This is what I am thinking. Have Mega Corps control the stations and in return they provide the PVP fleets funded by station revenue. The CFS has control of all other matters, but not the miltary or stations.
'Free Space' is then able to attract many players and the greater the miners/builders in the region the greater the tax revenue. This revenue is then used for pre emptive strikes against threats such as Indy gankers.
I believe that CFS failed as it was starved of PVP ship funding by FA and the freeloaders would not contribute more to enable a proper self funded FCS Navy to exist.

Fountain core is almost impossible to take and I think SE has interests in PB as well.

LoL Avan
Just like old days heh.
The rules didn't allow anyone but the senate to be on the rudder. The presidents that actually did try to take a harder line had a lot of trouble to even get tougher action talked about. I think that in the end most softer corps left and that made it easier to pass the freeloader bill. But that's just a guess. Raindrop

Ok, not that it really matters, but hey i will throw my two cents in. As ex-commander and creator of the CFSDF. I saw both the goods and the bads of the CFS. First off i think the concept of "free space" is a great idea. the only problem is that the minners should have been responsible for they're own defense. it could be said to them that if you come down here be ready to fight to defend yourself. Second take security out of the hands of the political folks, and give it to the the PVPr's, face it when you depend on them to protect your space from invasion , you really dont want to **** them off, by tellig them to hand back a station to an FA frig. Thirdly you have to tax, Big made alot of money of of TPAR, but where did it go??? sure wasn't the CFSDF or The CFSN. We had to all but support ourselves. As for 100% security in 0.0, its not possiple, i dont care how powerfull you are, no allianc/corp can keep and entire region 100% secure 24 hours aday. But then again who would want to, for the PVPr's its a night mare.. No one to kill. I think the cfs was a good idea, that was very poorly executed. Let the PVP's run the space, and give freetravel to the carebears to mine the space, as long as the main corps are making the money from taxes and can support the military opps. But thanks to polititions and corruption, I now work for the good guys. SHINRA BABY!

You've got that right. When I was involved in the CFS, the general attitude from most corps was "we pay our CFS taxes, so the Coalition Navy should protect us! We're doing our part!". Considering that the total income from taxes wouldn't pay for more than a couple of cruisers a week, you can see where that leads.

IMO that will never happen simply because of NPC stations in 0.0 space. The best one could hope for is a massive fleet to camp the region, every station and other locations 23/7 killing any alliance member that undocks or gates in. With the NPC stations, they never have to worry about losing access to any given faciltiy and service and thus, just wait out their attackers and "kill them with boredom". Invaders leave/log, business as usual and they can still claim they own the region.
If CCP made all 0.0 space stations conquerable, then yeah, fountain(or whomever) would be hating life. But if you are waiting on that to happen I fear that you will be waiting a very, very long time.

Thanks for reminding me of those details.
That was the thing with CFS space. When the 0.0 NPC stations were placed noone were found in CFS space basically making it empty with only one entry. And made us all wait and plan for POS. And we all know what then happened in next patches. Raindrop
