Simple for me. I buy 2-3 GTC's a month to trade for ISK. That gives me 2 Billion a month with not having to do any grinding I'm not interested in doing....

If you are looking NOT to grind out isk in off hours/times while part of a small pvp corp or rolling solo, I would recommend you do exploration in lowsec. Also, start raiding C1 and C2 wormholes if you can. That gives you two things...the first is making isk, and the second is you might find some "pickup" pvp opportunities. I have found this the be the best fit.
Speaking of fits, they can get a bit weird since you will not be fitted optimally for a PVE environment, so use your best judgement on that L5 DED site you find. ========================= Karash Amerius - Operative - Sutoka Fighting Broke - A Eve Online Blog ========================= |

I'm fairly new to the game. But I keep seeing exploration come up as a way of making money in low sec. Can you define how it makes you isk? And what skills you'd need?

Yeah, I figured I'd get at least a few of these responses. I think it's great that they implemented PLEX. Not just for the fact that it helps to combat macro'ing and RMT, but for the fact that it allows players with more money than time to still make enough ISK to support their chosen play style.

Edited by: Jenn aSide on 28/04/2011 17:37:09 The majority of my isk comes from null exploration. In "peace time" (lol) I simply bust anoms in a more or less secured upgraded system with my Machariel (screw your Sanctum nerf CCP, I kept the 25mil a tick train rollin with Hubs :) ) and enjoy the escalations/faction spawns as bonuses.
When we don't have secure space like that for some reason, Ninja exploration in neutral/hostile space is a blast. It's pure fun to do a 10/10 escalation in the enemy Alliance's HOME SYSTEM while also bagging a few "real people" kills lol. T3 and DPS Stealth Bombers make it easy :) .

Yeah, it seems like the bigger corps have a ship replacement program of some kind (or pay...even better). Which is nice, but what about the pilots in small corps/gangs?
We currently live in 0.0, and we just belt rat, and other members have their industrial pursuits but its pretty easy to make cash

The Alliance has a Proto Pay System in the works for when I actually start it going and stop logging in just to forum *****. Our scale is based on the kill itself, not how many people participated. So ten killing one will make less individually than two killing one.

CCP devs may also play the game as regular players?

You should just spawn and sell Titans. Whats the worst that could happen?

Depends on what type of ships you fly I would assume. I have been flying AFs quite frequently lately. Base hull would be around 20mill. Fittings would range anywhere from as cheap as 10mill, to as expensive as 45mill. [I like fitting deadspace and faction stuff.]
Venal 0.0 Rats > Any level 4 mission. More fun. More risk. More Swag.
When I'm in empire space, whatever I can find in low sec. Was lucky the other day and got 2 Gisti B Type Small shield boosters and a Dark Blood Thermic Hardener.
If I ever get back to ninja salvaging/theifing, that is an excellent source of income.
But... I don't believe in PvE anymore. Everything in this game, more or less, has some aspect of PvP in it.

Edited by: Geronima Jones on 29/04/2011 18:46:48 I buy plexes .. I only fly cruisers and bc's in combat, and I'm very careful when I pick my engagements so I don't lose many ships.. I've got a great job, so 15 bucks here and there is not a big deal.. Removes 100% of the grind from EVE..
occasionally I run missions.. but when I do its' just for lawls or to help a friend I don't really care about making my isk/hour.

It may be hard to manage the full list.
This is how your pvp encounters should go for maximum profitability.
Has anyone ever managed the full list? I'd have thought most victims would have caught on well before the 6th scam in succession. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |
