Damn there goes my hope that CCP doesnt completely fail yet again. They still cannot differentiate between RMT'ers and botters. I dont see that much of an issue with RMT'ers in principal, and do see alot of issues with bots (yes i know most RMT'ers also bot/use stoling CCs, so they are bad then, but not because of the RMT part, which isnt significantly different from plex).

The PLEX itself is not in question, the fact that non-RMT botters buy it with isk that does not belong to them is.

It's very different a regular player will buy a PLEX with isk they made legally within the game. Whereas a botter does not own (or characters own) the isk made through botting.

You're thinking about the PLEX again that was never the point of that comment (other than the method they use) the fact that they don't pay for their account by either RL currency or with isk that their characters actually own was.

Botters don't pay for their accounts, CCP receives nothing from a botter either by RL currency or time spent ingame (player controlled) raising the isk to buy a PLEX.

At least some of those non-RMT botters more than likely would not be able to afford a PLEX if they did not bot, which means if they did not bot they would have to pay to play, which would mean that CCP is losing out on some sub fees due to botting.

CCP get the money for the PLEX when it's introduced to the game, but the botter is avoiding paying anything to CCP so CCP lose out of a sub fee. The most important thing to remember here is that botters (characters) don't own the isk they get from botting.




Your comment is the kind of comment botters use themselves to justify what they do, Plex is paid for so what's it matter if we don't pay with RL currency or time invested in the game.
