Moving the info to a window where it won't be accidentally accessed and a whole ton of data transferred unnecessarily would have been fine, but a flat removal is just wrong. Background checks from CQ/incarna agents would have worked and been a very small isk sink.
If you have to go out of game for info that is needed (not just wanted), something is wrong. Standings between factions fall into that category IMO. Going out of game for a better way to get the information is fine.
It doesn't give a good first impression for a new player: What do you mean I have to look out of game to find out who my faction allies are?

Same mission, same agent/system/corp and almost 3 times the standings rewarded. I ran 3 or 4 more missions before I had to leave for work and noticed that all of these seem to have standings rewarded at a much higher rate than normal.
I'm not certain, but it seems that the standings reward being given from this level 2 agent is the same as would be given from a level 4 agent? The isk and LP are about the same as yesterday, just the standings increase seems to be higher.

Is there not an API for standings? Bit busy myself atm, or I would look at putting up a quick page to pull peoples standings with the limited API key it requires. If no one else jumps on this, then I will see about doing it myself in a couple weeks.

This patch is next step to simplify and cripple the game. I can't believe that it really could happen. Last year is all about useful and good features removal....

i agree with the poster that suggested the mixed mission agents like advisory and public relations should have been split into two agents. The mixed agents were there for a reason, a lot of the smaller corps only had a hand full of level 4 agents so they needed them to do double duty. Just in this post its already been mentioned that Hedion University and doval labs have lost all their level 4 kill mission agents and of the 2 soe used to have in empire the only one left is in caldarie space which is apposing faction territory making it totally unusable to some due to kill on-sight status in caldarie space and totally unappealing to a lot of the rest of us.

I also liked having a mix of mission types.
I was thinking it would be nice to have agents give you a choice. For example each would have buttons for "request encounter mission", "request mining mission" and "request courier mission".

So.. a Q12 agent used to give 1 third the standings of a q20, but the LP and isk payouts were almost the same.. hmmm.

Yeah you gave me all the skill points back how about the ISK that i spent on the Skill books in the first place and the LP for that matter. Maybe CCP can hand out the skill books to every one they nerfed.

Don't know why my security connections book couldn't be delivered to the station I'm currently docked at, but whatever works for you.

Tested and can confirm. What the hell CCP, if this is a mistake fine, fix it. If its a stealth nerf, WTF! Are you seriously trying to make black ops even more worthless or what?
As to the rest of the patch, this is up there with the worst. Only two bright spots, the really nice probe movement changes, and slightly dimmer the jump bridge nerf. The agent changes is one gigantic f**king mess!

That was on the first page of the pre-patch 1.5 thread. Since R&D _have_ changed and my grinding for standing _has_ been made largely pointless is it going to change back or stay this way now? I don't really mind the changes id just like to know whats set in stone, at least.

CCP...please read this.
As you may have already guessed, folks ain't keen on these changes and so far you haven't even acknowledged our unhappiness.
I think you folks need to open a new thread where we can list all our complaints about latest version. Then, address and fix these issues one by one. If what was said at the fan-fest about this being partially our game then let's cut out the flaming and criticism and together discuss how we are going to deal with this.
And don't just brush this off and say "they'll get use to it". You're not those kind of people.

Look in your assets at your medical clone location. Up to 7 skill books will have been seeded there, depending on how many of the connection skills you had trained.
if you had all 7 skills trained previously, there will be:- 2x Distribution Connections skillbooks
- 2x Mining Connections skillbooks
- 3x Security Connections skillbooks

I do like that proposal.
However, after reading through all the replies here (and in the issues thread) I would also like to state, that I am actually NOT thinking, that things are going south in any way.
I do like the simpler missions categories. Why doing 97% of my time what I like and getting 3% ****ed off? I do like agent quality gone. Why should I have to move just because the same type of agent is better 20j away? I do like the new colors of the BPCs but I would like even better, if you could add columns for ME/PE/Runs in detail view (as suggested above)
And also, I too would like to have the faction standing back.
mkint states, that CCP intentionally tries to screw us over. I must oppose that statement with utmost urge. This is not my feeling at all. In contrary, compared to other online games, CCP can look back to quite a proud evolution of their game with an impressive amount of real new features added after initial release.
Lastly, I ask to not forget that out of 43'000 players that are online pretty much around the clock, only a little percentage find the way here. Most of them because something is not working and/or they want to complain. Therefore feedback in this thread is heavily biased as a lot of happy players simply skip the forums.
All in all I think it is time to say: Thank you CCP, I believe you are trying hard to keep and improve this game in a way we like it. Not an easy job with so many players, careers, places, etc.

Evaluating someone's standings helps with corp recruiting and membership applications. As is, with this patch, you cannot even see those of your own corporation members, which also hinders internal corp faction management.

Is there a way to get back to old version of the fleet window's history tab's text fromatting?
The new unformatted version sucks big time! I can't distinguish at a glance what kind of broadcasts are there, i have to spend at least 2 seconds reading who needs and what. It is especially bad for logi pilots in the heat of battle.
The old one was very good, every info was there in the right order, highlighted, and i could sort them the way i needed.
The new has like NO options to sort. And has that issue now that the log screen has: the entries' text aren't in the best possible order.
Can we get back to old version pls? Was this even broken earlier? Does this really needed a fix? Seriously?!?!?!?!?!

Jump bridge Nerf, yeah, they deserved it, too focused on politics to see that caps moved around to easily... maybe 0.0 will live up to what it is called, outlaw space, hard to move around without high corp support.
THANKS CCP for finally giving copy/original diff icons. Some can cry for more, but GOD, I FINALLY SEE IT. I can feel complete with my children seeing this.

Please put the standings of individual players towards agents and vice versa back. I know this may have caused lag, but this was valuable intel for juicy mission runner ganks during war.

Of all the MMO's I've played, the trolls never seem to amaze me. It seems they complain about one common theme: The sky isn't blue enough.
What makes matters worse, is the fact they have the ability to post their same complaints on multiple toons. They try to mend "community" feelings and perception of changes that take place in the game.
My opinion is that the changes were needed and that they provide players with a wider range of agents to interact with. But I guess giving players more options is "dumbing down the game."
The only problem I do see with agent changes is the progression of players reaching higher lvl agents too soon. I'm not sure if corporate standings has been scaled to the new -20 availability.

You do realise that something like 75% of the last ~100 posts were complaining about the standings visibility change, or agreeing with me that they should function with opt-in public preferences like certificates, right? -----
