Like an abused wife, the bitter vet knows CCP is extremely flawed and know what they're capable of but keep coming back
Do they? I would be interested to know the average length of time a player plays this game. You could go by age of accounts but that would have several problems:
1)Someone may play for 2 years get tired of it and resub after a 2 year break. That would count as 2 years of play not 4. 2)Age of characters isnÆt helpful for the above reason and because you can sell characters. 3)You would have to consider that some people may pay for a year or 6 months and then pretty much stop playing some time in there maybe just change skills or whatever. May deduct 3 months from the average or so. 4)It might be impossible to tell if the new account is just an alt account. So this may be impossble.
It would be interesting. I really have no clue what this would show. But CCPÆs actions seems to be attempting to be catering to pve players and new players. So perhaps the long time pvp players are really pretty rare birds that donÆt warrant allot of attention.
Maybe they see that once someone starts pvping they go through allot of play and then burn out because blobbing gets old. Maybe that is why they are trying to develop more pve. After level 4s people who arenÆt going into pvp may burn out so incursions are another level of pve to make each subscription last another 4-6 months.
Some statistics or a blue graphs would be nice.

Considering the definition of veteran has been posted, I find it quiet amusing that nobody has commented on the paradox in the thread title. How can a newbie possibly be a veteran?
Apart from that, thank you for an enjoyable read. The level of basic linguistic knowledge was highly entertaining.

Actually the paradox was the question but you inverted the paradox. That is okay though, threads form their own lives once they are created.

I unfortunately don't remember that one... though when I finally got around to training for bigger combat vessels, Myrmidons couldn't launch a full flight of heavies anymore...
