Ok I know there has been much debate over the T3's, everybody says tengu's are basically god mode, my question: I can pilot a legion in a very short amount of time, I was wondering how they fare in c2 wh's. I usually run a solo drake then a noctis to salvage. But drakes are overly slow etc. How does the legion do?

Legion's can solo C3's and some C4's, so they can definitly grind through C2's
They are also the best looking ship in-game :)

Would you happen to have a rough fitting you could show me? I'm completely new to the T3 world.

If you'r going to take a legion that's stable at 41% into a C3 you'r going to lose it due to sleeper neuts. In short, tengu is king for WHs too.

i am training for a legion atm and i'm planning to run C1/2 WH with it
i would however start out with a t2 fit and upgrade as i get isk from the WH
this is the fit i was thinking of
[Legion, WH V1] Corpum C-Type Medium Armor Repairer Energized Reflective Membrane II Corpum C-Type Energized Thermic Membrane Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Heat Sink II Capacitor Power Relay II
Cap Recharger II Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Improved Cloaking Device II
Medium Nanobot Accelerator I Medium Nanobot Accelerator I Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector Legion Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Legion Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
cap stable at 55% with my skills (the skills i will get before flying it :)
the 2 deadspace mods i got from a high sec plex :)
i will have my alt for scanning, salvaging hacking and analyzing so i can clear most sites
the cloak is so i can avoid combat scanners (i know it screws up the scanres) but i did some WH with my harby and the cloak saved my harby several times from getting blown up

Before people start with their "yea c3/c4 is easy to solo", keep in mind that alot of this is related to pre-neuting changes.
post-neuting, i find that a tengu cap stable around or a bit above 60% can comfortably run C3 sites. Still can dip below 30% on certain anoms where multiple neuters are present.
I would steer clear of C4 solo'ing in any T3 post-changes. May be doable, but not more efficient than C3's.

Edited by: Bibosikus on 01/06/2011 19:59:14 I have used Tengu, Proteus (pre-Neuting buff) and now Legion for C3 running. I like its insta-dps, insta-switch Scorch/Conflag, and shiny gold hull :)
A cheap (mostly) T2 fit like this will happily tank dps and neuting in all anomalies up to & including C3:
[Legion, T2 fit] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Centum A-Type Energized Reflective Membrane Centum A-Type Energized Thermic Membrane Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Capacitor Power Relay II
Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Conflagration M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Conflagration M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Conflagration M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Conflagration M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Conflagration M
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector Legion Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Legion Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer Legion Propulsion - Chassis Optimization Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers
64% cap stable, 510dps tank. The A-type membranes are a winner if you have armor comp skills at 5 (they give better resists than hardeners, and with no cap usage), and they're not that expensive (~40m per). It will run a C3 anomaly in under 15 mins.
I'd advise against jumping straight in without training at least the defensive & engineering sub skills to 5.

63-65% stable with everything running.
This fit solo's any anom or site in a C3. |
