T2 Technologies Unlimited Buyback
*Summary *Buyback *Current Shareholders *Procedure
Summary
This IPO is now terminated. Buyback price is set at 1,031,029.34 per shares (2% above current share value).
Buyback
Due to RL event, I am terminating this IPO; I know its sudden, so was the RL event (something good, not bad don't worry). So, I'm setting buyback price at 2% above the current share price (1,031,029.34). I've taken a snapshot of current shareholders and as of now, This is just to keep things simple and easier to keep track of who has sent me what shares.
Current Shareholders
BigK û 789 Brock Nelson û 9,001 BSAC MMM û 1,001 Companion Qube û 1 Corporal Punishment08 û 10 Cowherd û 366 Crimzim Aprest û 750 Dethmourne Silvermanne û 34 Dhund Wyer û 10 E Trade û 1,000 Empire Arms Dealers û 200 Kain Rehel û 2,000 Khanid Voltar û 11,485 Krythas û 4,999 Lando Antilles û 2,204 Moto Akimoto û 100 TecuÆmseh û 1,000 Tomas Kynes û 50
The list is from the investor relation site and I believe its out of date due to Lando-Khanid dealings after last dividend payment. Will confirm once I get the game patched up and login.
Procedure
Simple, send me the shares, mail me that you've sent in the shares and I will send you your isk back.

Edited by: Lando Antilles on 02/06/2011 19:39:29 Khanid didn't get a chance to return my May shares (328). I've sent an in-game reminder and proposed a resolution to the outstanding loan balance. I think he'll return that to you and give me a cut of the appreciation.
I'm sorry to see this lucrative investment go. But I'm happy for you as you said it's good news.
EDIT - Once KV sends me the may shares, I'll send you my total for close-out. ---------------------- My *locked* EVE CV |

Edited by: Nairb Ecrep on 03/06/2011 06:31:11 Welp, there goes a lot of isk. I guess this is a good reminder as to why not to let other people manage your money (and why not to pay above NAV for dividends).
I do hope none of your shareholders had advance knowledge of this information before I sunk a significant amount of it on the exchange. I imagine that would amount to insider trading..

Edited by: Khanid Voltar on 03/06/2011 09:53:12 I would like to assure all BSAC investors in T24U stock that I had no prior knowledge of any kind that the IPO was about to close.
I stated here that I was looking to unload a portion of my stack of shares, and had more to sell.
In all honesty I was hoping this might be some sort of elaborate troll when I first saw this thread, and I still want to talk to Brock to confirm his account hasn't been compromised before I release the shares back to him.
edit - for the record I sent Lando's 328 shares to him this morning, sorry that was an oversight on my part.

Khanid has sent me the may 328 shares and a few extra (17) to close out our loan agreement. This brings my total to 2,549 which I'll return to Brock momentarily.
KV, thanks for working with me on that experimental investment. It was a good economic exercise, profitable, and fun.
Brock, good luck in your future endeavors. If you want to come back for another IPO, save me a seat at the table. ---------------------- My *locked* EVE CV |

Our shares are those of the real T24U corporation. they have voting power over locked down BPOs and ownership over considerable in space assets (POS).
If Brock wants to retain some control over that stuff, then it's in his best interest to get the shares back.
EDIT - for what it's worth, I did enjoy having this opportunity to really own a company, not just a promise of assets through a holding corp or by a 3rd party. ---------------------- My *locked* EVE CV |

Edited by: Lord Wickham on 03/06/2011 22:23:05 frankly im not surprised by the turn of events brock has been debating publicly whether he should end this IPO and how a buyback would be followed through.
As for the Bsac exchange and brocks listing of shares on it, we shall see how fluidly the exchange works now that a buyback is in effect.
on a sidenote, if brock has BPO's locked down within the corp, then knanid volatar as majority holder could request a higher portion for his shares or hold ransom over brock for the release of the locked BPO's?? however if i recall correctly BPO unlock vote was cast few weeks previously to this IPO closure notice? This unlock in itself would suggest brock was thinking of ending the IPO even back then?
all questions without facts, if my memory is not correct then please feel free to ignore my ramblings.

Wish someone had mentioned it to me, I would never have loaded shares onto the SE if I had known this IPO was a short term thing. Brock knew I was selling shares on the exchange and had specifically said he didn't have an issue with it.
Originally by: Lord Wickham As for the Bsac exchange and brocks listing of shares on it, we shall see how fluidly the exchange works now that a buyback is in effect.
If you had been watching Ray's ATPH buyback a couple of weeks ago you would have seen that it works fine.

I am the largest stock holder, I control about 30% of the stack. For me to force Brock to do anything I would need the rest of the shareholders to either vote with me or abstain.

Dear Brock Nelson,
Are you, as my great white northern hockey-loving brother, an attention ***** that found himself working too hard for his MD income by working EVE as a second job? Did you burn out then try to save face by claiming that "OH LORD I PLANNED TO SCAM YOU ALL ALONG" when you realized that your click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click business model was slightly more ******ed than flipping burgers at McDonalds for an hourly wage? If so, I'd like to recommend Companion Qube's "HOW TO MAKE ISK AND NOT SUCK AT EVE" correspondence course. I can't guarantee you'll make less than 9b per month and have to log in every day, you might make more and log in less, but I can 100% guarantee that your business model won't be as ******ed as PI and invention.
PS: I want my money back for my 1 share.

tldr version: Yes, this is a scam.
That was the plan all along. After the cosmoray drama hit the MD, I thought it would be a perfect time to launch my little scam. Honestly I didnÆt think anyone would buy in given the mood of MD at the time.
The idea was to sell shares to my corp for 36b but of course I had to tone that down because of flak from few players regarding how much I should be asking. Write a horribly put together business plan, throw in some big math, use the audit card and flash my MD LEET badge and I was good to go.
I created 2 votes to create more shares for the corp, one was for the purpose of sending it to investors and the other was for myself so that I can retain majority ownership. If anyone ask about the second vote if they look closer at the vote history, IÆll just simply say I was going to go with the 27k share model instead of the 36k but nobody looked and nobody asked. My plan almost fell apart when Misty posted about looking at my past votes. There was no way she didnÆt see the vote to create another 26k shares along with the 35k shares vote but being the good troller, she didnÆt reveal that.
Once I've sold 27k shares, I was ready to walk until I had my setback, the vote to create shares for myself had passed but it disappeared from sanctionable action list after a week or so. A petition to CCP revealed that it was a legit game design.
I decided to run it like legit business until I figure out how to get out of it. I need a way to get some more thrust to my name. Lock some blueprint down, oops, I ôforgotö to lock down some blueprints, my bad, its all good now. Sell some stuff on bulk mailing list to make it look like it was business as usual.
After posting the first report, I noticed that not a lot of question is asked about certain things like how much of the income was coming from anywhere, hell nobody even followed up on my intention to get an auditor. I waited until the second report came out, again, no question were asked. I couldÆve been running a ponzi, just use investorÆs isk as dividend payment until it was time to go.
It was until the end of the third dividend payment it was when I decided it was time to go. I figured I had gangrened up enough ôthrustö to ask shareholders to send in their shares in order to get their isk back. I posted a new thread to start a buyback.
Wait, buyback? No warning? RL event? Did anybody ask about it?
Nah, IÆm a thrustworthy guy, why ask about it? The key is to get at least 51% of the shares back so I can unlock my blueprints once again and I already had 25%. Hell, Dretzle and Lord WickhamÆs post shouldÆve made the shareholder think about what was happening but my good shareholders feel that I had enough thrust to overlook their concerns.

Posting to confirm this was completely underwhelming. From the half assed "this is a scam" reveal, to the "someone send me hate mail" begging in SCC, this seems more a cry for help and attention than anything else.
Brock never disappoints at disappointing.
I think the only noteworthy part was Brock trying to think up someone of his generation that still plays and might care about his scam.
I will also point out that as far as "MD Elite" scams go, this was the lowest yielding of the bunch. Which makes the "is this is a troll?" response more than warranted.
I don't think what is sadder, that you would burn yourself for money you didn't even need or know how to spend for lulz, or that nobody even cared.

Why do people have to make these idiotic normative judgements after every single scam? just take it for what it is and move on...
Is this some ritual to reassure yourself that your ethical standards represent the majority view, a way of getting back at the scammer (who hasn't done you any harm) by insulting him or what is the idea behind calling every single scam "sad"?
Don't say it is about the size of the scam or ISK/effort ... because the same comments are invariably posted after each successful scam, even the large ones.
It is always implied that the scam is a failure on the scammer's part and not the successful execution of a plan, it is always implied that burning one character's rep will somehow destroy the scammer's karma forever, people always "pity" the scammer, ... the same ****ing ritual over and over (and no amount of details & facts about the scam seems to be able to change that)
I understand poking fun at failed scammers (Armoured C comes to mind) but Brock's scam was reasonably successful and your post doesn't sound "fun" at all...
In pvp you write a "gf" in local and move on, in MD you write butthurt forum posts even if you weren't negatively affected by the scam in question?

Its less like getting a ship blown up in PvP and more like getting assets stolen by a corp director.
If it discourages anyone else from doing so it is a success. If scams like this are deemed to be something stupid people do I would think that would at least prevent some of the more idiotic people from getting involved.

ok, you got me Brock. What did you get? some ISK and a realization on my part.
Apparently MD is full of... 1) beggars that don't even try, ala JITA spam scam 2) more insidious scammers that plan a big time offering, for either: 2a) the ISK (greedy bastards), or 2b) the lulz (evil bastards) 3) Jaded investors that wonÆt risk anything (e.g. full collateral or else) (pessimists) 3) MD elite that are above it all, but are somehow full of opinion/judgement (pompous @ss) 4) RPÆers that have more ISK than any casual player could amass and enjoy the lulz of invest-gambling (those with no RL) 5) a small minority of people that try to make legitimate businesses/investments/market insights (ænormalÆ folks)
For me, group 5 is so much smaller than 1-4 that itÆs not worth it to hang out here (MD) any longer. IÆm not enough of a masochist to stay around those that take my energy. ItÆs a game not a job. Im only posting this since IÆve been around this community a while and wanted to let anyone who cared know where IÆve gone
TL;DR - butthurt, emoragequit.
p.s. if you ask nice, you can has my stuff, but youÆve got to ask Brock and Russian gankers, since theyÆve got it all.

Originally by: Tutskii Posting to confirm this was completely underwhelming.
Or you, in general.
Why do people have to post at all? And why do they have to post their opinions on other peoples posts? Just take them for what they are and move on!
But, let me answer you properly:
My views represent my views, I do not know the majority view, but I am unsure that it matches with what I perceive yours to be from reading your finely crafted piece of literature. Personally, I'm happy to have my views and for the "majority" to have theirs. I do ask that people speaking for "the majority" actually make an alt with that name and have him post. Failing that, let the "majority" post by themselves. I am sure if they have something to say, they will.
As for why this is sad?
In my opinion its a multitude of factors:
Brock's long history, the pathetic take (Lethal took 2 weeks to take over one fourth of what Brock did for instance), the number of alts involved, the click click click madness of it all, or just the certain je ne se quois of patheticness in the air.
The successful execution of a plan? He took less than he wanted to, and took much longer than he wanted to for him to take it.
Successful indeed.
By your metric, anyone failing to return money sent to them gets the "master scammer" moniker, top hat and monocle!
It is not my experience that you write "GF" to long term vets in deadspace T3's engaging and dying to newbie frigates, but perhaps your experience is different.
In short, I disagree with your enlightened view of scams as a legitimate profession, and of Brock's masterful execution of one.
Is it a difference in morals, standards, upbringing, religion, "majority" or what?
I don't know.
But I'll tell you what, I got some spare standards in Jita 4-4 that I'll contract you free of charge.
It's on the house, my friend. Use them, you seriously need them.
Think of them as a damage control and fit them often, and well.
-Tutskii Go make a new disaster, that's what I'm counting on. You're someone else's problem, now I only want you gone...

For the record, I don't think he intended to scam from the beginning. I think after dealing with md tards for a while, and clicking his mouse like 2389473298472397234897329847198634 times, he started to consider it, and mentioned something about scamming to me, but I wasn't sure if he was joking or not. Ya but in order to do that dont you need to have built a good "name" for your alts as well? I mean If i scam you today I cant just make an alt and start asking for money tomorrow, who the hell is gonna lend me?
Unless he 's been building a reputation for some of his other alts for a while now, which of course would honestly be the saddest thing I have ever seen in my MMO carreer ;p

Originally by: EFFNCOX If this is a scam, why is Brock and his corp still part of SRS? Should I put SRS on my list of scam/gank/idiot alliances? It sure sounds like it. If he was hinting at scamming in alliance chat and people inside the alliance were using inside knowledge to sell their shares, then it sounds like most of the alliance was complicit in the scam.
The actions of one member do not equate to the actions of the entire alliance.
I will note that our alliance leadership is actively engaged in a discussion about what, exactly, our policy on scamming should be - leaning effectively towards "con man" stuff being against the rules (but not necessarily "always bet on stupid" things like Jita navy raven contracts). I trust we'll have hammered out an official alliance policy in the near future, though I doubt it will be retroactive as it was not prohibited at the time Brock executed his (really quite terrible) scam.
EDIT: Also, FWIW, I had shares in this, and didn't sell, and was quite disappointed when I discovered I'd been had.

Your involved, he does represent your alliance even more so considering he's still an active member.

ROFL, so some numb nuts washed up goon 'scammer' with 1000 alts is going to talk about having the integrity to post with their main. I don't know what is more pathetic. That it's hard to even call you a scammer and not just a washed up loser who couldn't hack it. Who resorts to calling himself a scammer because he's embarrassed and thinks that's some solid fallback. Or that you have so little in the way of friends that you have to hang around MD afterwards. It's not like you're getting any tears or 'lols' your mainly getting A) disinterest B) flat out embarrassment and uncomfortableness felt by having someone so pathetic linger about.

Brock is not your main, Inoshuu. Any alliance that doesn't immediately kick out a publicly admitted scam corp is saying they have no problem with his actions.

@ Brock, if you don't mind me asking.
In the original IPO thread you repeatedly stated (and iirc others agreed) that there were various options that could allow you to unlock, locked BPO's, hence making the audit and any pretences at security virtually pointless.
Are there actual known methods that people can use to unlock locked BPO's, or was that just a ploy to lull investors into a false sense of security.
To me, there was never much point in holding the shares aq you had already stated you could get around shares if you were of a mind to. But with the way the scam was revealed, it would appear that was not the case as you needed the share.
Look forward to your (and others) response. Not gonna just take your word for it any more am I ?

Edited by: thebarry on 06/06/2011 20:40:53 Well, apparently people who run IPOs and such for MD get jaded very quickly and end up hating almost all of you...then they take your money and run. I even warned you all that that lui kai douchebag(whom i miss dearly) was going to scam you and yet the isk still poured in for him. Then I told a friend he should sell his Brock SharesÖ because I thought Brock might scam and my friend ignored the advice. Granted, I didn't know for sure they would scam, but I thought they might, especially in kai's case. Anyways, I've tried to help you people in the past but almost all of you are apparently beyond help, and doesn't this make MD look pretty bad as well? Do we all get bad reps over this? I feel sorry for the friends I have here who got jacked, and I personally wouldn't do such a confidence scam. But then again, I have taken candy from anonymous babies before, so who am I to judge?
My advice to all of you is the same as it always has been: do not do business with MD.

It doesn't show how you have them categorized. The ones that interest me are the ones that are clearly not pvp alts. Its like a who's who of goon finance. Lets get down to it then. In this subforum, no one will take the posts of a character who is 6 days old seriously. Even Tom Gerard would be taken more seriously than an unknown alt.
So either post with your main, submit to an audit to prove you are not a Brock alt, or STFU.

Huh, I wasn't aware I had that many goon financiers on there; I knew I had a couple Kalrand alts for a while, I thought I'd removed them a while back though. Neat!

Well, I'm in a C5 wormhole with a static C5. It's not that easy to just up and say "screw you guys, I'm taking my ball and going home". I'm also in my corp's leadership, and it's a great corp with people I really enjoy; I'm loathe to leave it.
I'm rather annoyed that Brock is still in SRS., but in the end it is, unfortunately, not my decision, and it's not like I have to deal with him on a regular basis (the neat part of wormholing, you really only have to like the people you actually play with in your wormhole for the most part).
Does that clear it up sufficiently for you?

The fact that 2 unknown alts with no posting history prior to this thread and is only less than a week old shows one of the 3 things.
1. They're created by someone (or two person) who is directly affected by the scam. In other words, you're one of the person on the list in post #1. In this case everyone would ask why you're still posting an a nameless alt.
2. They're created by someone who is indirectly affected, either you've purchased shares via Block's exchange or you feel like you've been "betrayed" by my actions.
3. They're created by someone who feels like their opinion is important, even though it carries no weight.
One alt is posting garbage that is normally graded for 4chan. Other alt is posting more intelligently but is using facts that are either outdated or is manipulated for their own use.
Either way, both of you continue to put spotlight on me and my scam which I enjoy
Khanid, in answer to your question, the methods I've mentioned do exist, in fact I believe the method of unlocking blueprints via un-renting offices has been corrected by CCP. The fact that I've mentioned didn't really serve as a ploy to lure investors into false sense of security but rather lure investors into false sense of trust.
I should point out that people who've purchased shares via Block's exchange are not just victims of my scam but rather victims of their own perception of what the share is really worth. As Khanid had pointed out to me previously, the shares were being traded at 2-3 times inflated compared to what was the actual value. So even if the IPO had ended legitimately, someone was going to lose out in the end because they had overpaid for the shares.

It is not uncommon for shares to trade above intrinsic price. Part of the speculative price includes future dividends. Obviously the people who purchased at a higher price were expecting more from you. Sadly, you could not keep your word, and culdn't run a bussiness. So, we all got hurt by your scam.
