Edited by: Billy Lajambe on 15/02/2005 13:43:19 I agree but i still cant be arsed to fix my cants every 50 mins and worry about them beign robbes and the biggest thing is as i am in .5 space pirates. Like say i go get my indy to pik up 100 cans and 5 pirates are there I am royaly screwed. As my best ship is a merlin and i havent even put 1 wepon on it yet lol.]
Edit but witht the Giant Containers I just wait for them to leave.

another issue is secure cans that are left in an asteroid field - could it be a good chagne to perhaps make all secure cans more than 2 weeks old revert cargo opening status - then it would encourage players not to leave em sitting to use em or lose em ? i know you can blast em off and have concrod come running lol but leaving em sit for months upon months clutters up systems and asteroid belts - guess if any system ges to clutted then CCP will fix it but its an idea.

With a jet-can you can wait for them to leave... they upped the time for cans to 2H without even naming them.

my bad, a typo in my post, I accidentally wrote 27m¦instead of 27k m¦...
Jetcans are of course significantly larger than any giant secure container...
27500 m¦ for a jetcan against 3900m¦ for a giant secure container are the proper Values

I do not like secure cans, to much trouble, have to put them in your indy, drop em off and anchor them. They also require skills trained up to even use them. (to anchor them at least)
A secure can and cargo expanders are not realy the same level. They are kind of like apples and oranges. Cargo expanders in your osprey will give you a little more room, if you jet can mine, you dont really need the space. Saves some cash.
These are just my views and they could be wrong.....often wrong if you listen to my wife. |

but really if i get like 800 storage (level 2 cargo expanders) and 3 level 2 miners and 1 secure container and my badger level 2 am i not set because i am very worried about my copr m8's taking my jet cans as they say it is not an inforces rule but they want all or most mining money to go to corp and thety already only pay me 140k a week so i know they will take my jet cans.

If you're worried about a corpmate taking your jetcan, you really need a real corp. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

Try some agent missions or hunt some NPCs either in belts or in complexes. Variety is the spice of life, as they say.

There are many ways to play this game and make money. mining is the easiest, most obvious and most boring (to most people at least). I'm not saying you shouldn't mine at all just consider other ways of making money. Makes the game so much more fun. Just a suggestion tho.

Find another corp Billy. Any corp who robs noobs like that is not a corp you want to belong to. Check the local channel for other corps recruiting. If you can trust your corp and believe they are your m8 then you will get nowhere fast in eve.

I don't understand why you can't leave the corp, are they holding your wife and child hostage? Seriously, that sounds like you got the really bad end of the deal, typically known as "slave mining". And, if your worried about a corp stealing your ore, it is definitely time to move out. There are many corps out there that'll look after you far better than that.

Yeah, seriously.. get the hell out of that corp before it eats up whatever love of Eve you have left. I was in a very old and very reputable corporation from the outset, a corp called Dreamscape. They once paid me .. get this.. 4 million ISK for 24 hours of solid mining in a Thorax. If I had mined veldspar myself for those 24 hours, I would have made somewhere between 24 million ISK and 36 million ISK, given that I filled a full can in under an hour, making 24 cans, each worth about a million to a million and a half each.
I say get out there and make your own way in eve for a bit if you're nto being paid well, or find another corp. Freelancing for a while was the best thing I ever did. I went back to Dreamscape because I missed the chatting but I left again and made my own corporation.
