Rorqual bugs fixed too? I dont see it in the notes. It just splits into pieces when in deployed mode and it just reverses on zooming out just a little and stays that way. Engines on the wrong side and such.
Thanks for fixing but would be great to see things getting tested before launching? Dont be like Microsoft..

One thing that annoyes me is the scheduled updates are not scheduled at all. There is a big message every time about June 21. How about replacing this with the NEXT upcomming extended downtime / update? I already lost almost one full day of training as I could not log in when incursion 1.6 was deployed and did not start training a long time skill before that. Now again an unscheduled downtime for 1.6.1. I want to play the game and not waste my time searching the forum for possible updates / extended downtimes And I said: Pirates? What pirates would be interested in the few rocks I have mined? 3 Minutes later I was warping back to station - in my egg... |

a word at this place to CCP even when wrong topic
it's been asked again and again by players, and would really be a small nice helping feature to alot players:
- could you please place a CLOCK with the actual EVE TIME on the LOGINSCREEN? I don't know why you're keep going to ignore this, really.
pretty please with a cherry on the top thx

Is there any possibility to be more play time then downtime? This is really funny ....
BTW. IMHO INCARNA is no worthless patching, time consuming "WASD" moving, I saw somthing of that on singularty server and it sucks, it looks to me like COSMO+WoW with that suck'n gadgets for AUR, omg
It's time for CCP to rename game in EVE Barbie ...

Originally by: Thunder Wind I will say again... i still feel it would only be right that since we pay a certain fee for the game per month, and since downtimes will happen, that any downtime should be added to everyones account. example if the servers are down for one hour, then one hour is added before payment do. one day and so on. since they manage our game time up to the minute anyway, it would be a reasonable way to show they care about our downtime as well. yes/no??

What has been failed to be noticed is, if we had bought this game in a store and got it home like this we would have rightfully taken it back and asked for our money back. For 8 days now we have been having suffering the problems with Eve and trying to make the best of it. Do you think you have treated us good enough, CCP?

btw as for reference blaming CCp for crashes
They are a company selling software to use and we kindly buy gametime ie rent their software
1. with each additional resource added to eve there is the possibility of causing problems with user pc setups and hardware 2. Q&A or testing omg how narrowminded some people are... 2.a How many CPU speeds/cores are there/ Variations in ram Speed size / harddrive access times RPM / audiodrivers /Gfx drivers 2.b there are billions of possible pc/hardware setups EVE wouldnt even be a demo if it was testing against all possible kits. There is one answer keep up with Tech stop trying to budget build pc's and give DEV's the good tools to work with
3. but also backwards flying TECH III omg someone should get a slap for that one :)

I see a lot of the more irritating bugs being patched, but I would also really appreciate it if CCP were to terminate the employment (and possibly the life) of whoever decided the capacitor should get dimmer as it is depleted. Because it's a stupid idea and counter-intuitive in every way imaginable. Thanks in advance.

I think, the general"Nerve wrecking"-part stems from the update policy, Not the patches themselves. Earlier, CCP released expansions every 6 months, of course, they were bugged and needed fixing as well.(Which for the most part has been dealt with in a month or so). The players had time to adapt to bugs, and when known, possibly avoid them.(or exploit them). Now, (with the new update schedule) those bugs come at a much faster pace. Adapting to it is almost impossible."Extensive" search for them is not my job,i am a paying player, not a paid tester. And it completly baffles me, that CCP can't find a bug,in 2 weeks, that a player needs 3 seconds to find(like tech 3 ships going backwards or sliders in overview turn almost invisible,or the capacitor becoming unreadable against bright backgrounds). Those were visible, only by using the "Undock"-button. Not to mention, that those prolonged DT's.(which also occur more often now), cut into Gametime. On top of that, the announcements of planned (prolonged)DT come very late. (this one had its "official" announcement yesterday, and had incorrect starting time).
I could have finished the skill i was training,as it would have finished at around 10:47 UTC,but since the announcement said "starting 9:30 UTC", i had :sigh,AGAIN, to adjust my skill queue.Which (of course:AGAIN)i first had to buy the skillbook for(Again). It is not a big thing really, but this happened to me a lot lately.Out of the last 7-8 patches,i only managed to avoid skill complications ONCE.
This all adds up to the general "CCP is FAIL"-bitterness amongst players. It is all about communication CCP, and i know, for a 100% fact, you have heard that many times (and years) before. But there is a difference, between hearing something, and Listening to it.

I pulled my Ctrl keys off my keyboard. I cleaned the sockets and the keys, reinserted them. I took my keyboard apart, cleaned all surfaces inside and out. I beat the **** out my keyboard... I almost broke it. I did break other stuff. I broke some more stuff. I put the keyboard down and walked away. I stopped spending on some important stuff to buy a new keyboard. I was going to buy a new keyboard tomarrow. Luckily I found this thread. F'ING CCP DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH GREIFE YOU CAUSED? Do you care? I doubt it. Three paid accounts. Maybe zero paid accounts soon. Incarna June 21. Crap, I don't have enough patience left for all the "patches" and "patched patches", and "patched - patched patches" ad nauseim.
The only thing you have going for you is the freindships I have developed and am not willing to walk away from... yet. Keep f'ing up the game and it won't be worth the GREIF.
CCP = Worst greifer in the game.

We have also experienced the following issues, which weren't mentioned in the patch notes:
- Mouseovering bookmarks in solar system map view doesn't show their labels - Sometimes when changing tabs on the market window, it slides apart (I don't have a screenshow), and becomes unuseable. Re-opening it fixes it for a while - While docked at the stations the clients are eating far more CPU/GPU than they do in space - Selecting a station for a market order has the focus on the OK button in the station selection window, and it should be where it was prior to this CarbonUI patch, in the input box for typing - Sometimes the inspace HUD freezes, the ship is not rendered, can't rotate the viewpoint, can't do anything with control, changing to map/PI mode and back doesn't help, have to relog for that - Default ordering direction of columns in enforced. Like the log's timestamp ordering is _always_ on oldest-to-newest(up-to-bottom), regardless I always set it to newest-to-oldest. - The log window never stays open across relogs, it used to stay open whenever we've opened it.
So far that's all I can remember, but sure there're a few i've missed.
So, when can we expect a patch also for these issues (to get us back to where we were before this 1.6 carbon thingie, in functionality, err, forward!) that won't break already fixed features?

Gotta remember something:
The day CCP gets the degree of "professionalism" people demand, EVE will get the degree of professionalism you guys hate in other MMOs.
We start by the basics: - If professionals were deciding about downtimes and server-side issues, they would instance EVE servers, both eliminating "EVE 100% downtime" if they wanted, and cutting costs. Goodbye "EVE is one universe for all players". - If professionals were deciding about expansion/patches ratio, they would tend to tedious content expanded once or twice per year, if that much, to have less bugs to take care of. Also would limit more the numbers of choices players have in following skill progress, gameplay, and so on, because professionals know that allowing users that kind of freedom is a PITA, because: THEY COMPLAIN about the things they want being done or being allowed to be done. - If professionals were deciding the dinamics of the game, they would never allow ISK conversion from real money or ISK bought gametime, because it is just not professional. - IF professionals were deciding the way the players are handled, they wouldnt mind at all to make a dumb smashing keyboard game because if half of the world's population died, there will be still more than half its population compoosed of stupid people who likes to play games where you dont need to think.
I like the passionate way EVE is done, and to see that the enthusiasm CCP put in EVE makes it sometimes crappy, but still let it be the unique MMO it is.
The day CCP start to be the level of professional MMO developer major TV advertising MMO developers are, is the day it will be the same crap those are.
When EVE have no more incidental bugs from new features, no single feature deployed prematurely, and no "lets try this and see where it goes", and, EVE has Jean-Claude Camille Frantois Van Varenberg advertising in the TV "Je suis le capsule pilote ...", then it isnt EVE anymore.

I see GM's are monitoring the board at the moment.
Just a question here... Im not angry and i understand fixes will need to take place from time to time. But...
Do you think it would be possible and also show a great care and concern on CCP's part to maybe add a credit time feature in your systems to add an hour or more to match the downtime to show all the players that you do understand and here is your time we had you down back?
I of course really dont agree with gimme this or gimme that, like is and skills. But our TIME, and your downtime i dont think is an unreasonable request. What do you think?
Thanks for listening...

why not have 2 servers ?? and alternate between them in such a way DT and long patches are eliminated to the off-line server. so even with a cripple damaged eve we can still log in and PEW PEW
