EDIT: This needs changing back to the bright yellow it used to be, and also the dmg indicator to the bright red......the current attempt is still no good imo.

PC client still crashing every now and then when it jumps through a gate while tabbed out (autopilot).

To the people experiencing crashes, have you submitted a detailed bug report with log server details? The more information we have on these crashes the better.

Yes. Just reverting it back to the previous state would be highly appreciated. This is new display is not progress. It's a step backwards.

Ok, seriously, I dont have half a day to sit on keyboard and play active and even after your awesome 1.6.1 fix I cant use autopilot, because when client is minimized and autopilot starts, after first gatejump client stops working...Yes, I have submitted bugreport with sweet logserver file, described the problem in details. I also submited petition. I got answers like 'We know about it' and 'We will fix it in patch'. So what the hell is going on? Will those players, that are already experiencing those problems since the carbon deployment get some reimbursement?You see we are unable to do our ingame bussiness for kinda long time, right? Ps. Yes, I am still experiencing the SAME problem

There is some common theme connecting all these crashes-while-autopiloting that we haven't managed to figure out yet, so we really need all the pieces of the puzzle. Screenshots or descriptions posted in here, or bug reports submitted through the usual place would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know how to get crash details. i play games im not a computer programmer. all i know is i have 1 clint running missions, the other autopiloting, every now and then second client crashes when jumping. ihappens more ofter when i tab out of game to look at websites. random websites.. youtube and others. Using a pc with windows 7 64 bit AMD Phenom,, 9750 Quad core Proccessor 2.40 Ghz

maybe im really dumb but why is there such a lack of explanation as to whats happening with eve.. until i spent an hour looking all over the website, i couldnt figure out if all this "cool stuff" thats coming was supposed to be in the mess of a patch i dowloaded the other day or on june 26th or whenever its supposed to be.. real lack of communication to your customers as to whats going on with this game. p.s. lol, cant belive that even with a paid subscription that i have to see ads for ps3 games signing on...pretty lame |

I have always opened Firefox browser, usually also Adobe reader. Sometime maybe GOM player...not sure. Well, docked together, I have all active apps on bottom of my screen...I am not tweaking windows or so to have them elsewhere, so I am using it as it is installed. If you want some specific screenshot, just tell me and I will do it.

P.s. if you tried a little harder you might realise the only "adds" you see are ccp products or fan sites directly related to eve. If you though about it a little harder you might understand that dust - although on a console - is part of eve i.e. not another game, just part of this one on another platform (which is odd but nvm).
Also, I've yet to crash with 2 minimized instances. Major improvement but I'm not doing anything different today that I wasn't doing yesterday. We'll see how long it lasts. Oh and the wonderful high-gain wind effects which haven't been fixed in the past 4 patches still haven't been fixed.
Edit: nvm, one just crashed ***The EVE servers and their patches***

Thank you very much for your time CCP Atropos much appreacited the link you provided fixed this issue for me.
I am not sure which version I had though as when it ran all I got was a little box saying check the details of some log which is were I got what I posted above from. I do know the repair.exe I had was dated May sometime and the one you linked me was June.

I'm getting a crash on log in. It runs fine for about ten seconds, then stops responding. It seems to be happening right after I get the new mail pop up in the upper left hand corner.

I have the same problem updating eve. I have 3 tb drive and it is not installing the update and repair is giving the same error like the other guy mention. I also made video for it and sent it to petition. hopefully you guys respond fast can't play eve.

Ah..well, then left lower corner is Alliance/Corp and 2 other chats. Right lower corner is local and right uppper is overview stuff. And I have got the chats (beside local) docked together. In corner means theyare touching at least 2 sides of the monitor(they are docked).

Ok, well the stuck keys seems to be gone...I'm not trying to target everything I approach.\
Din't have time to check the disappearing probe-labels or bookmark mouse-overs this morning.
However, my ships are still moving when I didn't order them to. It seems like clicking in windows and chat boxes is being interpreted as navigational commands by my ship, even though I am clicking in boxes and not in open space. "To bring order to chaos, one must bring chaos to its knees."

For those crashing a lot
you will want to run a logserver program to find out when and why it crashes.
You can find this tool in your eve folder and it is named LogServer.exe

Still unplayable do to frame rate being too low, and client way to sluggish. Not surprising though, since this has been happening on entire generations of Macs that meet or exceed the minimum system requirements listed by CCP, all of which could play the game fine before 1.6 and can't now.
All we would like is some basic info from CCP here on if these systems are still supported, or what they feel the new min system reqs are so people know their options to upgrade. Bug reports have been filed and ignored by many people, and nothing has been heard from on any of the Mac help forums from you guys!
(oh PC fanboys.... not on this thread. We'll argue that out somewhere else OK?)

I did launch today Eve and after I cancel the update I get this mysterious message.

Then I do download the offline update from web. evepremiumpatch264377-267203_m.exe. Then it screams that update has fail and it needs repair tool to fix broken client. I click "yes" and it tries to download repair tools and after like 5 seconds of watching "download" black bar it just entirely quits.
All I get is unknown patching failure. Error code 29.
I tried to download then http://cdn1.eveonline.com/client_repair/324/repair.exe and run it, but it doesn't run. It crashes due some C library missing.
So I would appreciate some advice on how to continue.
PS. I have 200mb left on the hd. -- B=g, Honor, Nar=d. Semper Fidelis. Nec Hercules Contra Plures. |

Problem: Updater didn't update.
Solution: Run 'Eve Repair Tool', restart client, update downloaded, restart client, works.
Recommend recommending the 'Eve Repair Tool' rather than "Download the entire freaking 8GB client"!! |

My client crashes with 100% consistency, whenever I click the "Agents" tab while docket. On Windows XP.
It started doing so a couple of days ago, and the patch hasn't fixed it.

Estimado Navigator:
- Minimized, one or more Clients open is the same. If one of those are in autopilot, a soon as he jumps a Stargate... crash, boom, bang of that Client.
- Many players like playing EVE as long as they can do another activity during those long and boring "autopilot travel" with their ships.
- Many players like running 2 or more EVE Clients and do many things in the game with many chars. During that boring autopilot travel. Imagine if a "client" doing ICE mining crash as soon as you minimize or ALT-TAB" that thing.... no more mining to anyone aside a few newbies.
Game is still crashing. The Patch FIX didnt FIX it. 10 days and running....
Navigator: did you experience this issue? Can you tell us? If the asnswer is "no", can you tell us what CPU/OpSys/etc do you use? If the answer is "yes", why CCP went ahead with this horrible patch knowing the bugs/features/problems BEFORE fixing it?

Akkukkak, please keep in mind that almost every EVE player has unique hardware and OS set ups (the exception, almost, being Mac users). By providing us with detailed information, as Navigator requested, we can better understand the issues that crop up for certain players, and determine if there is a pattern that can result in a fix.
Therefore, if you are continuously having issues with the client, providing us with the information requested ultimately helps us help you.

- The sorting order in the in-game log window fails on occasions. I.e. when the time tab is used as sort order and then the window is pushed down and up on a stack (of windows) is there no more sorting, but the messages get inserted at random positions into the list.
- When trying to read the exact damage on the ship's hull by moving the mouse-pointer over the bar on the HUD does it show the over-heating status of the racks. It seems as if the bounding boxes for the popup read-outs do not match exactly the bars/fields of the HUD.
- The green acid cloud/background of the mission Recon 3/3 (Level 4) does not show.
- Something is wrong with brackets and in several places. I always hate messing with those, and now seeing them buggy only makes me wish we did not have them in the first place. Anyhow, sometimes they only show after one has switched temporarily to a different overview tab. An initialization problem it seems. |

My EVE Client is crashing still, too.
OS: Windows 7 Prof. 64bit /6 GB RAM / last OS patches installed Normaly I ve 3 clients open, often all flying autopilot. It seems to crush more often if there is a keyboard interaction [ALT]+[TAB] or [STRG]+[ALT] (STRG=CTRL).
It crushes more often in full screen mode not so often in window mode. Perhaps because you can change the windows with a mouse click. The client who crushes is always minimized in background.
It makes no difference if there are other aplications open (bowser etc) or not.
It's a little bit frustrating to play eve atm. Hope this hints help you to find the reason.

What windows do you have open when you are autopiloting? Any windows docked together?
There is some common theme connecting all these crashes-while-autopiloting that we haven't managed to figure out yet, so we really need all the pieces of the puzzle. Screenshots or descriptions posted in here, or bug reports submitted through the usual place would be greatly appreciated.
ingame windows docked together: Local, Corp, Assets, Journal, Character Sheet, Form Fleet, Fleet, in that exact order[or without "form fleet" and "fleet" windows], have crashed 4 times right after patch 1.6.1 coz i tried to check if the crashing is intermitent or i could duplicate it. IF both Clients are minimized, its the 2nd instance of the client that crashes, well, with my experience.

I have been getting this message, and tried download over and over. I have also used the repair tool, and tried download the patch again. On my client, it says: INCOMPATIBLE (PROTOCOL) - I don't know what that means.

I've been getting the same message as above, and have been trying for a couple hours now to no effect. The download moves really slow, just over 7% per pulse, and it takes a minute or so to get one pulse. It's never downloaded a patch like this before.

Last week I had downloaded about that same size [500+ MB]. Then evryday after it download small patches.

try clearing your temporary folders, maybe you have a corrupted download and the autodownloader will not download if it sees the file already there, or overwrite it.

Crashing while minimized bug victim #543534 reporting in for duty.
PC Client, all updates updated.
I am playing in maximized windowed mode. I didnt experience any crashing while playing in windowed mode without being maximized, but then, I'm pretty sure I never jumped while minimized. I'll give it a whirl, edit if I consistently don't crash that way.
I have Corp chat and a private chat channel in one window. Local chat and a private chat channel in another window (partially overlapping, if that matters). Right side of the screen is pretty much the default. Selected Item Window, then Overview, then Drones below that. Cargo is in the middle of the screen. Nothing besides the two pairs of chat channels docked together. Usually alt tabbed into either Mozilla or Visual Studio 2010

Ok so i clear temp folders and now i get a selection window that is asking me to choose a program to install it with. I dont understand why its doing that?

Client responsiveness got slower in 1.6 by a little. 1.6.1 has made that a LOT worse. I'm having to hit buttons 2-3 times a LOT of the time to make things worse.
The "training que" has been intermittantly borked since original Incursion patch. 1.6 made that noticeably worse. 1.6.1 I have to reload the window 100% of the time to fix it if I do ANY sort of change to the que at all, to be able to see anything other than all the skills stacked on TOP of each other unreadably on the que side of the window.
Client crashyness has been an issue since original Incursion patch. 1.6.1 had made that NOTICEABLY worse. Doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing, if I'm in space or docked, doing lots or not doing anything I see a TON more crashes in 1.6.1 across the board. It LOOKS like the changes in the client in Incursion make it unable to handle more than one lost packet at a time, and the changes in the 1.6.1 client have aggrivated this issue.
Plus side - the issue with "disappearing PI centers" and "clipping" seems to be fixed. I'm still seeing the client TRY to clip production heads and disappear PI centers, but it's only a short-term visual glitch now not a PERMANENT thing. Not perfect but liveable. Also, somewhere in the last few patches the "I'm gonna hang completely if you lose connection" issue was FINALLY fixed. I think. At least I haven't seen that happening for a while. THAT IS A MAJOR PLUS.

Since last 6 months, issues to patch already described in this thread : always use the repair.exe file because the patch did not apply. No antivirus running during install : This time it did not work... as my client said, i need to dl the patch again whereas it was already dlded, applied (did not work) and so repaired by the repaire.exe file who said it was good now It was not as i start the client which still propose me to dl the patch i've already applied and repaired ! I tried during one hour to fix : always the same dialog box as the start of the client : "you have to dl the patch" Nothing work. I've uninstalled the client and dlded the entire EVE_Premium_Setup_267203_m.exe to reinstall Eve, saving my settings directory. Now this file seems to decompress correctly in a temp file : then i've the Licence Agreement, i click i agree, then Choose Install Location, i stay on the default one : C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE, then i click on Install, Installing : Step 2/3 verifying files : nothing happen : Archive Extraction failed : 0.
What can i do ?

I have read the patch release notes, tried dowloading it from client, AND manually from this site, making sure I had the correct version...still the same issue: the file downloads halfly, or cannot be extracted or broken/corrupted.
Right now, Im pretty sure the server from which the file is being fetched is crappy.
So CCP Navigator [amongs others], are you concerned about to propose a VIABLE solution to us, or just keep having us as test lab rats for your the works you are supposed to do [ie., providing a minimum of support to paying customers]?

Perhaps you should eyeball the 3 bug reports with debug data I submitted to you before this latest patch... it has 3 crashes which occured while client was minimized to background and same breakpoint with all of them.
By knowing which command crashes the client it really can't be that difficult to backtrack the cause.

Windows? I thought this bug is Linux explicit.
My best guess is that latest compilation of repair and updater took some C runtime library in, which is not in your system directory. In other words for you to enjoy Eve you need to install some additional software. Probably some Python programming development software. Which one, some GM should tell you. I dunno why they do not. The attack command for drones shortcut (f) seems to not work properly. I press it once.. nothing.. again.. nothing.. massive spam it.. they start attacking. It only happens after i release a new set out into space as any attack command after the first works like a charm.

Installed 1.6.1 patch. Undocked from station and alt tabbed immediately. Instant client crash followed the action.

The missing mouse cursor may be related to a Windows setting. If you wish to run in full screen mode still you can try this wok around: Start by right clicking an empty space on your Window's desktop and select "Screen resolution", click "Make text and other items larger or smaller", select something other than "Larger - 150%" (125% should work), then finally log off windows and log back in to apply the settings.

This time.... 2 clients loaded fullscreen. The one alt tabbed to background crashed. It had just left station and was warping towards gate with manual "warp to 0", but had autopilot already enabled. Autopilot jumping sound was last effect before crash. Forgeround client did not crash. That was in another system and docked to station.
This crash-problem has appreared with 1.6 update. It wasn't there before that. Also patch 1.6.1 didn't fix it.

My HUD still seems to be operating on a 40W bulb, please bring back the high contrast version (and the opaque buttons for cargo...etc.)
The windows, the character sheet etc. seem to be more transparent than before - intentional?
The contract system seems to be borked - It wants me to pick a specific item rather than showing me everything which matches. Where is the search on Power Diagnostics bringing up all of them?
And of course still no mention of why standings were removed. --

I've been having framerate drops when large amounts of text and icons are on screen at once, this is becoming very noticeable in jita and simply browsing the market while docked, and having a window open with lots of items listed on it
It was never doing this before 1.6 and still happens after the 1.6.1 patch.

Still locks up.
I have two accounts and run two clients. Just now my ship jumped through a gate while that client was reduced. It locked up. Before I killed it, I could it was taking 30% more memory then my other client.

Reguired for the crash to happen: - Client has to be alt tabbed to background (and some say minimizing windowized client does the same thing, not confirmed)
Increasing the possibility for crash to happen: - Having 2 clients running (this may not be related at all but seems to trigger it more often). - Logging in while docked to station (greatly related), undocking from station and warping to adjacent system while alt tabbed out (triggers the crash very often). - Logging in while docked to station (greatly related), undocking from station and alt tabbing immediately after pressing undock key (triggers sometimes). - Docking to station and undocking after causes same issues than mentioned above (greatly related)
Preventing or greatly decreasing the possibility for crash: - Logging in while ship in space (greatly related) -> Difficult to get crash before next station visit. - Keeping 2 clients in same system, in space or in station, and alt tabbing between them doesn't seem to crash the background client, warping around or not, docking and undocking or not (greatly related, well tested while mining for hours).
More random triggers what have seen causing the crash: - Warping between 2 gates in same system and alt tabbing out. (May be not related).

Conclusion:
It seems that the cause can be found from some attributes being set (or not being set) while pilot undocks from station.
...or some attributes being set while pilot docks to station but only if those exactly same attributes are being set while pilot logs in to station. ------------------------------------------------- Play with the best - die like the rest starwreck.com - support the cause :) |

Looks like someone at CCP is obsessed with translucency.
Seriously, it's an UI, it doesn't have to be transparent ! We need to see the goddamn text, buttons, feedback ( like capacitor and health bars ), not blend all the crap together in a nightmare of translucent objects. Is it THAT hard to make them opaque ? Bitmap copy existed in the days of DOS games or Windows 3.0 ...
Who in the name of Amarrian gods wanted all this translucent *#!@ ??

I have the exact same problem as BlitzUrSeoul quoted below. (what's with that annoying scrolling at the bottom when replying) I have not been able to get the update to even start after it fails and I cannot log on. I am running a windows PC with Vista installed. I have plenty of space and plenty of memory and no problems with my PC except the new Patch. Sorry. Not intending to sound rude. But there is a problem with the patch, and the repair tool will not load and run. I went into the Eve directory to run it and it tells me to check some log (repair.exe.log)? that says this:

Yah i tried to uninstall eve and reinstall - that failed cuz i cant even download the thing from the eve site.
Luckly i have an install program saved and i'm currently installing eve again but its been stuck for about 15 minutes at one progress step and the green install bar hasnt moved. I'm just gonna let it run all night and see if anything happens. Otherwise i'm completly out of idea's

Game crashes on events that cause the UI to reload in space, ie. undocking or jumping gates, the system begins loading and a progress bar will show up briefly, at about 75% on the progress bar the screen will go black, at this point 1 of 2 things will happen, either the screen will come back and all UI elements will redraw (ie the space environment will show back up then the UI elements a second or two later, you can actually see the Jump, Warp, Orbit buttons blank at first then the icons draw in a few seconds later), if the screen does not come back up the game will crash. For me this happens with the game full screen on alt tabbed auto piloting. It happens in about 10% of the time when I undock or jump.

- There is a offline install version. If the downloader doesnt work.
- Do you know what the exception number means ?
- Tried to reproduce the steps and it is related to some graphic engine problem, as I had some work to make the client crash. It isnt related directly with the graphics engine, but to the settings in the graphics card. As I aways try to optimize them, I changed it from the factory settings, and that prevented my client to crash. The conjunction of factory settings in my graphics card and the setting of full graphics in EVE make the client crash, but only in one PC. The one I have with ATI grp card doesnt crash in anyway. The Nvidia one can crash when not manually changed settings.

Patch won't install and repair.exe not working see above log. Any ideas on why and how to fix this?

Im crashing when i have two clients running (but thats when i alt-tab a lot).
I have also been getting graphics corruption when i have two clients running and i alt-tab, had this for a couple of months.
Could the two problems be related ?

Another problem, I think most people dont get because there are few dedicated caldari freighters around, is that when aligning your freigher (or any like-sized ship) around most Caldari Stations, you got stuck in what should be empty space. You need a huge distance from the itens to not get stuck in "empty space". In some stations it is needed to warp to a customs office prior than warping to a gate, or else you will wait even more than the warp to customs office time to be far enough to maneuver.
I can take the "complexity" of maneuvering a capital sized ship as a step to make things more realistic, but being stopped by empty space is another story. Prior to this last patch the problem was usually when you try to maneuver closely to station walls, and 3d alpha rendering will aways have these, either you can "enter" the station, or hit empty space close to the walls. But from the last downtime, the ammout of the ship entering some parts of the station, or the ammount of empty space blocking your passage has become too much.

Why, Why, Why must the HUD be transparent????? Transparent makes things harder to see against light or bright backgrounds. The HUD is very important to playing the game. It tells us if we are taking too much damage, if our CAP is too low. It has buttons for scanner, tactical overlay etc etc. IF THEY ARE TRANSPARENT THEY ARE DIFFICULT TO FIND.
PLEASE, please, please do what you promised and change the bloody thing back the way it was before you broke it.

In fact, I've noticed an amazing increase in what I guess I now should personally call "station lag"... especially when working with labs and the market.
THE BIG KICKER: I set up a public channel over 1.5 years ago. It wasn't until June 6 or 7th that the window would take up 30-50 seconds of frozen time, then load up a blank chat window. I see no MOTD nor any text, however, everyone else says it's fine and they see what I type. I appear not to have any rights to change anything (which I thought changing the MOTD would reset something)... Nope, I have no rights, even though I creat4ed it and I had a fellow named operator of the list try to adjust things - also resulting with the same problem. So, I have filed a petition, but this honestly makes no sense. Something is going on since it takes 30-50 seconds just to join the channel or load the channel...
MARKET: Sometimes when changing tabs on the market window, it "slides apart" vertically. In actuality, I've noticed this when placing corporate purchase orders, making hte order, and tabbing to corp orders shows the listing of Buy Orders in a "table/column" whose height is higher than the height of the window itself. And YES, the only solution is to CLOSE and REOPEN.
ORDER OF THINGS: Default ordering direction of columns is enforced. In fact, no amount of clearing/resetting cache will fix this. It's like my old bug report of "Window Amnesia" only now it's Window Content Amnesia". And I, too, set columns newest-to-oldest, but they never remain.
STILL UNANSWERED/IGNORED ISSUE: Are "standings" a forbidden issue to discuss or something, because I refuse to let it be yet another issue that "CCP hopes I'll just forget..." like CCP has done many times with many issues in the past [bug reports filed for proof]. I have yet to really read any official response considering all the frictional feedback and issue threading from so many people wanting standings back. I personally would be content with just FACTION standings only.. How else am I going to be able to see how our corp-average standing is doing with certain space for POS anchoring, and also who (and who is not) doing well in areas that may be dragging the corp(s) down with sovereign space(s).... or who to hire without always asking for limited APIs (which is more hassle than it is worth sometimes)?
-It is a vital hiring tool for many CEOs. -It serves as an assisting aid for those in need of mission help (and peer assessment) within a corp -And it appears to be vital even for players of the PVP /"mission hunting" persuations.
I think everyone's need for publicly viewable faction standings is logical and necessary for this game to continue as intended... Otherwise, what's the point of standings anymore?
THING 1: What the hell is with all this intensively overused translucent symbols, columns, in rows, in windows... especially the HUD! It's getting hard to see what I need to see. And you promised to fix it... I'm not seeing much difference. In fact, I see nothing too different from the original UI - except some ugly changes in color choices... and WHY are ALL THE SCROLL BARS so gradiently shaded that half of them I can't see what to click on?? I downloaded 500+ Mb for what? More problems and STILL unfixed errors and bugs that haven't been taken care of since October 2010?
LITTLE THING 2: Undocking sometimes has me magnified so close to my ship, it's ridiculous. I might as well be in the ship with a first person point of view...

When something Stasis webifies my ship the effect is not always shown visually on my ship, obviously thats not good especialy in a PVP situation.
Holding the alt key to look at things is better but still far from fixed. Intemitently the first alt-left click resets your own ship view if your zoomed out from it just a little, the next click will work as expected, and at random point my ship flys to what i am trying to look at.

edit: and i just held ctrl to target something, with no further input from me it targeted the first item in my overview. Im not keen on the capacitor transparancy.

Don't think that it is related... Devs broke it while ago and specially ati cards have been having issues with darkened desktop after quiting eve client. Most common answer is that "it is known ati driver issue, update to latest version and problem fixes itself", but it doesn't... Anyways your problems prolly come from same source as alt+tab graphic disco came with same patch. It has something to do with not setting/resetting color palette or something like that. I'm not very familiar with graphic issues.

STILL UNANSWERED/IGNORED ISSUE: Are "standings" a forbidden issue to discuss or something, because I refuse to let it be yet another issue that "CCP hopes I'll just forget..." like CCP has done many times with many issues in the past [bug reports filed for proof]. I have yet to really read any official response considering all the frictional feedback and issue threading from so many people wanting standings back. I personally would be content with just FACTION standings only.. How else am I going to be able to see how our corp-average standing is doing with certain space for POS anchoring, and also who (and who is not) doing well in areas that may be dragging the corp(s) down with sovereign space(s).... or who to hire without always asking for limited APIs (which is more hassle than it is worth sometimes)?
-It is a vital hiring tool for many CEOs. -It serves as an assisting aid for those in need of mission help (and peer assessment) within a corp -And it appears to be vital even for players of the PVP /"mission hunting" persuations.
I think everyone's need for publicly viewable faction standings is logical and necessary for this game to continue as intended... Otherwise, what's the point of standings anymore?
THING 1: What the hell is with all this intensively overused translucent symbols, columns, in rows, in windows... especially the HUD! It's getting hard to see what I need to see. And you promised to fix it... I'm not seeing much difference. In fact, I see nothing too different from the original UI - except some ugly changes in color choices... and WHY are ALL THE SCROLL BARS so gradiently shaded that half of them I can't see what to click on?? I downloaded 500+ Mb for what? More problems and STILL unfixed errors and bugs that haven't been taken care of since October 2010?
LITTLE THING 2: Undocking sometimes has me magnified so close to my ship, it's ridiculous. I might as well be in the ship with a first person point of view...
Good list. All of this bears repeating.
I would like to add:
"Stack All" option still stacks at random, rather than using the first item from top to stack to. This makes automatic sorting almost impossible anymore.
And the entire standings list (minus agents) needs to be given back. Quick like. Make it initially focus on personal standings towards entity to save on bandwidth.

The problem with stacking itens stacks (lol) with all other problems about "automatic refreshing" in viewing both text windows and graphic windows.
If you sort your itens using one option, lets say in a staion, you undock and when you dock again they are sorted as previously configured. The problem seems to be with all data in windows. Market window in places where a refresh button isnt available, you cant aways rely in what you see unless you undock and dock again.
When running trading business this is particulary annoying, as you have to close the window and wait a few seconds to have a real picture of what you have. It also has problems with assets window, where you must not use it open while picking up bought itens for your corp. Sometimes an iten already picked up will still show there for several minutes, as it sometimes wont show itens even if it is in your delivery box.

About the standings, I personally prefeer this way, as many people do, so corps that want to hire based on standings must find another way to do so.
Primarely because there are people out there who ganks other people based on standings towards one particular corp or faction. When you have members in your corp you still have the way to look how they contribute to corp standings.
What I think it is fair to do if possible is to make the same thing CCP does to certificates, make it possible you hide or show your standings as YOU wish.
Sorry, but I have a corp too, and even so I still like not to HAVE TO show info about me nor I would advocate info MUST be shared around. In EVE wars are a part of the game, and as it is, information is a important issue, and as much of it we can hide, better.

- It does to me only on fullscreen, that means, that when I have 2 windowed clients, and minimalize them - I never had crash. BUT: Even minimalized game client is still rendering the content, which I concluded from: GPU Temp rises to very high levels, I can hover over stacked eve clients on taskbar (windows 7) and it shows me both clients running (as they are both rendered in real time). Ergo, crashes may have been connected to rendering/not rendering some elements maybe?
- It happened to me when I was using acc gate on mission (pirate invasion). Minimalized on full screen, 1 client only. - This is something new, happened to me only ones, and may indicate, that session change is not the only reason. I think that this is the same sort of crash as others, and not new issue, because after crash, I got this mouse cursor that is very unresponsive for like 20 seconds (like it would be lagged), Probably because something is heavily
- After clearing cache I made like 20 jumps on full screen, 2 accounts minimalized and no crash, but I'm gonna investigate this further.

1) Local channels in the Minmatar/Amarr war zone seem to be lagging behind. I.e. I was sitting off gate in Tzvi cloaked up and watched the gate activate, the ship appear, and warp off before the pilot appeared in local.
- Please note it appears to be working fine in other hisec systems.
2) Brackets get turned back on every time I get a session change - really sucks when you are jumping into an already running 60 man engagement.
3) This last one has been an issue since the patch to 1.6 - Auga 8 moon 2 is 140km off its moon and the undock is pointed at it. This means instant warps will decloak you as you are now inside the moon.
I filed a petition about this two days ago and haven't heard anything back yet.

The issue about character standings on info goes aside with the local chat thing. There should be an option to enter or not local chat, as there should be one about showing standings or not.
Local chat join goes without saying that it is just a gankage tool not meant to exist, as serious PvP doesnt need to rely on that. So there is a delay to show players in local when they enter the system ? Great. Could please CCP think about allowing people to not join local chat at all ? It would be even better.
Player standings, well, you can ask for their limited or full API in order to check, if they refuse, simply dont accept them.

I am not sure whether this is an issue, or just me doing something wrong.
Whenever I am placing extractor heads on a planet, I get a yield per hour, but after installing the program, the yield is wildly different, in some cases. This is WITHOUT changing the length of the program, or anything, the yield is just much lower when the program is running, than when in edit mode.
Anybody else having the same problem, or have a clue as to what I might be doing wrong ?

The asset window has still reversed the sorting of items at stations. It previously had displayed the most to least per the \/ arrow just like name sort alphabetically A-Z. Items used to sort by the most to least now(UI update I think) it does the opposite.
This is horrible usability wise as looking to see what that last location has in regards to items expands it and jumps the list UP so you have to scroll up to view items AND to then collapse it. Order of operations you've just run all the way down the list and now look in greater detail, expand, as to what you have and the heading(station) jumps up and you have to scroll up to see it.
Cleared cache, cleared settings no fix since UI update.

Ok a friend of mine was ripped off by 30 million (currently petitioned) by this bug so I thought I would bring CCP's and other playersÆ attention too it by posting about it here. Hopefully CCP will look into it and fix it promptly as it could cost players millions esp. if they do not check what they are receiving in ISK is correct. This is how to replicate it (well this is what happened to a friend anyway)
1) Docked at station check the top buyers price of an item letÆs say for example Tripped Power Circuits at 74,500.15
2) Check to see how many the buyer has set up buy order for say the buyer wants 1500
3) Calculate the return of selling 1500 Tripped Power Circuits at that price 1500 x 74,500.15 = 111,750,225.00 (ignore the tax for this example it is not relevant)
4) Check how many of them you have in your items say you have 2000 of them to sell so that should leave you with 500 after selling
5) Open the Sell Window and keep it open ready to sell but don't sell immediately go make yourself a coffee or something else to pass time
6) In the time it took you to make coffee say someone else buys 300 of them from the same buyer meaning that really he now only has a buy order up for 1100 as someone has sold 300 of them to him
7) Now click to sell on you already open Sell Windows what happens?
8) In the case of my friend it removed all of the tripped power circuits from their items hanger and only gave them the ISK for 1100 of them which was 81,950,165.00
The figures used above are just for the example the actual figures involved, when a friend got ripped off for 30 million differ slightly.
I can only guess why this might be happening maybe it is something to do with the Sell Window not being aware that the buyer needs less of the item than when the Sell Window was originally opened.
Either way please fix this CCP promptly.

I am getting continuous crashes just from warping two separate characters, on the same PC, in the same system at the same time, with no auto piloting or jumping involved. Was just trying to warp from station to a gate, and had like 7 crashes from both clients within 10 minutes. Finally made it to the gate, but crashed yet again, lol. I will clear my cache see if that helps, but don't think it will.
Also.. I do not alt Tab. I run the clients in windowed mode, then click the box up in the upper right corner to maximize the window on the desktop, leaving the task bar exposed so I only have to click on the proper task bar button to interact with the character I want.

Check out if so respond here if disabling it fixes the problem.
Right now my client crashes with mail and I'm unable to clear the cache. I'm getting a permissions error.

Sounds like you need to restart the PC, to release an file locks hanging from previous crashes. Or, if your virus scanner is set to scan all files, setting it to just scan executable files (or "select file types" or some such) might fix the problem.

I don't think there is anything to fix there.
1)Why would you leave the sell window open like that for a long period of them, then not verify that all the items are still for sale at the same price.
2)If you are selling 1500 items, I am fairly certain if one order if for 1300, and a lower order for 1000, you will fill the 1300 first and then the remainder will go towards filling the 1000, even if they are only offering 0.01ISK where as the other guy was offering 75,000.
It's not broken, it's the market. Pay attention. ___

Bug: Chribba's channel is empty on this screenshot. No MOTD and no chat text is showing, although there has been text before and the channel was blinking. Scrolling/minimizing or tabbing does not change anything. The window stays empty even when new messages arrive.

If it is a "feature" it needs to be documented so that players who have come to utilize local both for defensive and offensive intel will need to rework their strategies for gaining that knowledge. i.e. if this is implemented and no one tells anyone or you opt out of local you can have a huge blob camping a station and all you will see in local is a handful(if that) of people.

Sorry, but I have a corp too, and even so I still like not to HAVE TO show info about me nor I would advocate info MUST be shared around. In EVE wars are a part of the game, and as it is, information is a important issue, and as much of it we can hide, better.
I see, respect, and partially understand your logic in wishing to hide all information, but in your case of having a corporation, do you not think that, as a CEO, YOU (of all people) should at least be able to see your own members' standings... especially to form and review a composite standing?
Currently, CEOs cannot see their own members' factional standings, hence we cannot make/view a composite list. That, I feel, is something vital for CEOs. It's only logical, even if all standings are not PUBLIC, that if you've hired a pilot "into your corporate fold", you should be allowed to at least see your corporation's standings in a composite list, as before, even through the CEO Interface.
I am not debating you, fore I can see and respect your personal desire in not wanting your information public to the entire 'Verse. However, if I'm hanging around in Caldari sovereignty space (for example), as a Caldari pilot (which we all can see in our info), perhaps with headquarters, offices, and even POS's possibly IN Caldari space, it doesn't take a rocket scientist (no pun intended) to assume you "most likely" have a corporational (if not personal) Caldari State faction standing in the positive. [shrugs]
Again, to each their own opinion on the "public standings"... stand. My concern stems from the fact that, as a CEO, the logic of not being able to access any of MY OWN CORPORATE MEMBERS' faction standings fails me if such information is hidden from the eyes of the corporation's own CEO. ("Blind leading the blind," is coming to mind as a quote from the past...)

Ok if this is how it works I retract my statement about there being a bug and apologise. Not being someone who really dabbles in the market I did not realise that it would automatically fill the rest of the buy orders. I had thought it would just fill the buy order of the highest buyer and then leave my corp mate with any excess of that item.
However the part I do not understand then is if this is how it is supposed to work how come there is only one market transaction in the wallet for the buyer who wanted less of the item than my friend had? Something still seems a miss here. Should it not also include the transactions for the other buyers that it filled automatically if as you are saying that is in fact what it did?
If this is not how it works, then there certainly is an issue here that needs looking at as soon as possible. I am sure and hope the logs will explain all as I said there is a petition currently open on this.

"THE BIG KICKER: I set up a public channel over 1.5 years ago. It wasn't until June 6 or 7th that the window would take up 30-50 seconds of frozen time, then load up a blank chat window. I see no MOTD nor any text, however, everyone else says it's fine and they see what I type. I appear not to have any rights to change anything (which I thought changing the MOTD would reset something)... Nope, I have no rights, even though I creat4ed it and I had a fellow named operator of the list try to adjust things - also resulting with the same problem. So, I have filed a petition, but this honestly makes no sense. Something is going on since it takes 30-50 seconds just to join the channel or load the channel..."

For some reason since the 1.6.1 patch I cannot see or hear my hybrid turrets, even when fully zoomed into my ship. I *can* however see and hear other people's rails and blasters, but never my own. I have been using 250mm Prototype I Gauss Guns. My other ships turrets, like autocannons, work normally. I've reset both my graphics and sound settings, reinstalled both sets of drivers for each, and have cleared my cache. I've even tried running a repair and a full install of Eve when repair did not resolve the issue.
Any idea on how to fix this?

OVERLAPPING TEXT: When you approach a secure can in space, and the window opens up and asks you to "Please enter the access password", the word "password" is pushed to the next line below in the small, fixed-size window and overlaps the box to enter the password itself.
And then there's the oldies but "goodies":
STROBING STARS: It's still flickering away. Yes it has been reported. yes cache is cleared. Yes graphic cards are updated and higer than requirements. Bug report filed last year. (Perhaps I'm being subliminally programmed to drink more Quafe?)
UNREAD MAIL PERSISTS: Some emails still persist to be marked as unread. Some of them change, but the ones that remain unread were ones written and/or received between Feb 21 UTC DT through Feb 23's UTC DT. Bug Report filed 108058. Still unresolved.
And saving the "best" untouched (yet noted as "a known issue") for last:
CORP DESCRIPTION EDITOR BUG STILL EXISTS: Inside the CEO Interface, under the HOME tab, under "EDIT DETAILS" and all I want to do is AUTOLINK character names.
[To see what I'm talking about: Look up and show info on Bloodstone Industries and read Description. Scroll to the bottom where names are shown.]
Look at my name in the description, for example:
Jared Tobin (CEO,Economist,Security Ops)
I highlight "Jared Tobin", rightclick it, selectect AUTOLINK and select CHARACTER.
It gives me THIS ERROR MESSAGE:
"No owner can be found with 'n (CEO,Econ' in the beginning of its name."
So the problem is still there SINCE 2010: No matter what you are visually selecting and highlighting, apparently the computer code itself (or the function call of the UI for the Corporate Information section) is taking a selection and physically (in its memory) "moving it over" by what appears to be 10 ASCII characters "to the right" of the beginning of what the user sees as their own selection made.
(As per GM Renril, I filed a Bug Report: #108061... Problem 9 months later, still unsolved.)

My local window is stretched out the full length of my screen, the names in the local window are stretched out to the far left making the local chat window as small as possible, when I do this the TEXT in local chat FLASHES and will not stop .....

Now that I see your picture I am able to duplicate this. As soon as the text occupies enough of the window to require the scroll bars it starts flashing. I doubt CCP ever thought anyone would resize a chat window and center divider in such a fashion. Make the window wide enough for one full word to fit. Downsizing your font will help a little but again I don't think the window was designed to be used in that manner. Why, Why, Why must the HUD be transparent????? Transparent makes things harder to see against light or bright backgrounds. The HUD is very important to playing the game. It tells us if we are taking too much damage, if our CAP is too low. It has buttons for scanner, tactical overlay etc etc. IF THEY ARE TRANSPARENT THEY ARE DIFFICULT TO FIND.
PLEASE, please, please do what you promised and change the bloody thing back the way it was before you broke it.
+1. Transparency and alpha blending do not belong in such a critical space. Same for the enemy brackets indicating they've locked you. The blended colors are horrible. In certain areas of space the new faded red and yellow enemy brackets blend to almost appear to be the same color. I forced a crash today by alt-tabbing while auto-piloting. The crash occurred right as the new session would load. This time I was lucky enough to see what happened on the desktop:
A Windows help and Support pop-up that said Data Execution Prevention killed ExeFile.exe.
Vista x64 running on an Intel Core2Duo, 4GB of system memory.

Your understanding is correct.
So am I right in thinking that it should have only filled the first buy order minus what had already been filled by others and returned the excess but this isn't what it did. Someone else in this thread suggested that it would automatically fill the buy orders below. I do not understand though if this is what it is doing why there would only be one transaction shown in the wallet for the guy with the top buy order. This makes me feel that it is indeed a bug and one that could cost players millions of not careful and have devastating ramifications in busy systems. Besides that the buy orders below were buying for a price not too different from the top buy order so my corp mate should have still ended up with a lot more ISK than they did had it automatically filled these.
CCP look into this please. A petition is open on it currently.

After jumping into a system and clicking on the sun in the overview, the screen will blink with a bright flash.
Sometimes when using the new 'Alt' centering option, the probes will jump out of formation and become askew to each other.
The ship no longer shows itself turning and being aligned before going into warp after jumping through a Stargate. After jumping while on Autopilot, the printed text will appear above the UI Cap meter with the speed indicator showing it's active, then the Eve Computer voice will say "Warping to Stargate" "Warp drive active" and then the ship will appear in the warp tunnel.
There seems to be more lag now while loading up new session screens. Especially when first logging into the game and when undocking from stations.
I've also had the message - CCP.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close - quite a few times due to the new patch and it happens at different times.
Another problem is an old one with this forum which is due to the 'security' protocol. This is the second time I've written this reply, the first time I clicked to post it and I was directed to the log in screen which then erases the text. Also after a while the page needs to be refreshed to enable the copy, cut and paste options.
There's other 'Bugs' I can list but this is enough for now. I'd just like to know whatever happened to CCP's 'Commitment to Excellence' and not releasing new content until after it's been thoroughly tested?

3 minor issues, first two of them annoying and not sure if they were reported yet though...
1. sometimes when I switch wallet to the orders page, the visual of the wallet gets all messed up, like transparent and looks like both the sell and the buy order lists are drawn over each other or something like that and take up the entire window. I have to resize the wallet in order to make it redraw and look OK with the orders page. Not a show stopper, just annoying....
2. In the advance buy order window, when selecting a station, I have to use the mouse to focus the text cursor within the select station text field before typing, otherwise the text is lost into space and never appears there. It use to put the focus there automatically when selecting a new station.
3. Very minor, warp tunnel does not appear now and then. I am sure this one must of be stated at some point, sorry if repeated I Could not find a current issue list.
Non were fixed with the latest on june 7th |

Yes. Except a lot more frequently than before. You have to give them credit, though: At least for me, the Windows error message no longer appears. Makes the experience of crashing a lot smoother, don't you think so?

I get the same crash as before the update: 100% of the time, when I click on the Agents tab in the Caldari Navy station in Ichoriya system (Black Rise region), I get a crash-to-desktop immediately. Windows client.
I don't know whether the crash is specific to that station or not, as I haven't tried in other stations.

This client update BROKE the character creator.
I tried to create a character on a new alt account today.
Got through the procedure, hit finalise, got a box labled "registering" with a procedure "compiling prefrerences" - box runs to full bar THEN THE CLIENT HANGS TO THE POINT I HAVE TO GO TO TASK MANAGER TO KILL IT.
100% repeatable - I've tried this 3 TIMES now, 2 on one machine 1 on a second machine.
On the transparency HUD cap issue - GET RID OF THAT. It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to read the cap display at all any more with some backgrounds at ANY angle.

Ahh... Now I see what you meant. The entire stack disappeared. No that's not normal. Only the outstanding part of the buy order should have been filled. The remainder of the product should have stayed in the hangar. From there the process to sell the remainder needs to start over as if it were a new sale.
Yep, little bit of database lag and conflict going on there.
Still, anyone AFK with a sell order awaiting action on screen should refresh before selling for exactly this reason. Fault is 50/50.

The animation for small tractor beam has been messed up after the most recent update where it fades out after each weapon cycle and then snaps back on, and the character portrait backgrounds are still broken.

That might be an ok workaround, but that's not good enough in the long-term. I use full-screen and alt-tab. That's how I play and many others and I don't expect anything less than CCP to fix it.

Players have still had crashes using windowed mode.. friends confirm this. I personally dont like windowed mode anyway, i use fullscreen. I have not been able to play my second client for almost 2 weeks now due to constant crashes. ccp have not offered any compernsation nor have they provided a fix. What i need is compensation for 2 weeks lost game time and some kind of damn response from ccp to todays fail patch.

I play the same, "Fixed Window Mode" is full screen and you can alt-tab as well, and works nice with aero, not unlike "Full Screen" Mode where its just a blank desktop when scrolling the apps.

1.Trouble with the double-click on the mouse to open cans. 2.Response to flying whilst double-clicking on empty space is sluggish.
Problem is appearing after the client update.
Have confirmed the jetcan opening issue with another corpmate. I'm having to right-click >> Open at the moment. Double-clicking a few times also seems to solve the issue of opening one jetcan. But it reverts once you close the window and try again.

I'm really sorry that the fix for the crash hasn't worked. As a workaround, though, I suggest running the client in either "windowed" or "fixed window" mode (either change this through the escape menu, or hit alt+enter).
While this is not a perfect solution, it should at least let you play the game without crashing until we fix this properly.

ok... unfortunately at least my graphics card don't like the solution as it doenst have nuff kick to keep rendering 2 clients at once... Unfortunately sometime in the recent past someone in ccp managed to break windows mode too. It used to keep the screen res and move everything, now switching to windowed changes the res used in game thus moving all chat windows/overview etc touching the bottom or right boarder but fails to move them back when you return to full screen leaving most things the wrong place a lot of the time. ***The EVE servers and their patches***

It doesn't work well for me at all. When I alt-tab to my alternate account, the FPS drops to an inability to play. And no, it's not my computer. It's CCP's code.

I tried the alt+enter thing, but this does not resolve my crash issue. The Windows client still crashes whenever I click on the "Agents" tab while docket in a station.

Looks like they simply slowed down the check for mouse clicks. Went to use the calculator and tried to enter 1400 but had to wait several seconds or the second zero would not register. Windowed mode is much easier to play with (instant alt tab). Anyway if you GPU is weak you can minimise the one client (windows + down arrow in win7). This way the GPU use goes to more or less nothing. It's great for all kinds of AFK stuff as you can have the client running without actually taxing your system (you can even play other games with no interference from the minimised client).

Your understanding is 100% correct Jacob Holland. Unfortunately some others seem not to be able to understand the issue even when explained in very simple basic terms and steps. So am I right in thinking that it should have only filled the first buy order minus what had already been filled by others and returned the excess but this isn't what it did. Someone else in this thread suggested that it would automatically fill the buy orders below. I do not understand though if this is what it is doing why there would only be one transaction shown in the wallet for the guy with the top buy order. This makes me feel that it is indeed a bug and one that could cost players millions if not careful and have devastating ramifications in busy systems. Besides that the buy orders below were buying for a price not too different from the top buy order so my corp mate should have still ended up with a lot more ISK than they did had it automatically filled these. If it does not automatically fill the buy orders below then they should of ended up with the excess Tripped Power Ciruits which did not happen either.
CCP look into this please. A petition is open on it currently.
Hmmm - I had something like this happen to me, but what I eventually found was: 1. It had sold the initial amount at the highest buy order price 2. I now had an open market sell order, at that one price in my market orders tab
I actually selected to return to the non-advanced (old style) sell methods as I did not like the behavior...
Now, if it can sometimes bug out and not create that open market sell order (then I am glad I selected that choice).

EVE unusable for 9 days. Joy. 9 days closer to our subscriptions running out.
Patch 1.6.1, and client update downloaded and installed just fine. Logon screen unusable. It's flashes, pops....etc. Option screen unusable. At times you can make out some of the old working logon interface.
We well investigate, and petition if can't find a fix.

Same thing happened to me while writing eve mails or corp bulletins. Another ood thing is this patch didnt install like the others. Normaly when I log I am asked and encouraget do instal, I click yes and then it downloads. Then (but not this time) is when goes to windows and have the ccp installer. This time it was only the first checking window that I had to click yes. So I am not even sure it did install. The hole 1.6 thing has been a major fail, it was intended to make the game smoother, better looking and more solid and the thre things went oposite direction. I know how dificult is to bear criticism, but guys you really made a poor job.

Unable to scan, when i enter Sytem Map mode, i cannot move probes, i cannot focus on anyhting on the map
i cannot zoom in and out with mouse as usual, i cannot refocus probes without doing it on the scanner,
and to move the view i have to move my mouse to the very edge of the screen and then it will swivel but weirdly,
its all wrong, i was so looking forward to goin wh'in again:(

To avoid crash while 1 or 2 client running, you cannot click ALT+TAB or minimize the game when your ship is jumping thru gate/wormholes etc. The crashes happends ONLY when in the same time you minimize the game, when you jump like i've discribed above. Specially please pay attention while flying on autopilot and DO NOT mininize the game in the moment of a jump thru tha gates.
So the problem is connected with session change after the jump. I'm sure about it.
If you guys remember about this, you will be able to fly safe. Afcorse it is very hard to do it while you for exemple auto-pilot on 2 clients, bacause you can only change characters when you are in warp between gates or wormholes.
For me, i can run two clients and do everything else in the game (anomalies, mining etc etc) and freely click ALT+TAB to change to other character - no crashes then, only when jumping thru something.
I hope this info will help to solve this terrible issue.

After doing this, fire up a couple EVE clients, and see if it makes a difference.

I had a bug someone mentioned where my speed gauge was stuck at about 3/4 and said "warping" even when I wasn't warping. Obnoxious, but not nearly as obnoxious as having the same thing happen to my shield gauge, stuck at about 90%. Before I realized that this is not just me doing a surprisingly good job tanking evil Gurista pirates, ship went boom. Yes yes, "if it seems too good to be true" etc, but since I've never had this happen before and didn't even think that something could be wrong with the shield gauge, it didn't occur to me to review the situation prior to becoming a pod.
The speed gauge was stuck two days before the client update that was available to me on June 9th, the shield gauge was stuck after the client update. Can't really repro the issue but both times it happened on the same character, in the same ship (and now that ship is no more!).

Additional issues that affect WH inhabitants.
Issue: Bookmarks (BM) transferred between pilots show up on different places on the system map.
Steps to reproduce: 1) Pilot A scan down a Cosmic Signature and Bookmark it 2) Pilot A copy bookmark to cargobay by shift dragging 3) Pilot A Jettison BM 4) Pilot B open jet can 5) Pilot B move BM to cargobay 6) Pilot B move BM to People and Places 7) Pilot A & B open system map and compare BM push pin on map. They will be in different places on the system map 8) Pilot A & B warp to the BM 9) Pilot A & B both end up at the same site 10) Pilot A & B compare "You are here" to BM and site. Pilot A will have all three in the same location on the system map. Pilot B will be at the site and "You are Here" marker but the BM will be somewhere else.
Issue BM created prior to patch do not appear in correct location on system map Steps to reproduce: 1) Pilot must have a BM created prior to the patch 2) Warp to BM 3) Open System map 4) Compare location of BM push pin to "You are here". They will be in very different locations. 5) Warp to BM created after patch. 6) Compare location on system map. They will all be in the same location.

Still experiencing random crashes with 1 client, lol forget about 2 or 3 clients. They just crash without a windows message or anything. And plenty other things that were supposed to be "fixed".
Meanwhile two weeks have passed in which I have not been able to go about my trading because well... can`t get cynos up because the clients keep crashing.
At the moment I`m really starting to wonder why the hell do I even keep paying for 3 accounts if this is the treatment a customer receives. But guess you`re too busy fiddling Incarna for all the doll lovers to actually care enough for your current customer base.
I`m also guessing you`re just gonna keep quiet on this situation and go ahead with the "**** you we got your money now **** off we don`t have to explain **** to you" mentality and expect the customer base to do the quality / bug testing for the future expansions and patches on the LIVE server.

Bell: I got the warning once out of three crashes. Vista 64. DEP will not allow one to add exefile.exe as an exception in Vista 64. Client still crashes with DEP turned off except for essential services only. With DEP off obviously there is no DEP warning with the crashes.
Derrirck'Trolboy'Trotter (fixed that for you): It's an O/S issue caused by a patch CCP did. Traverses platforms. XP, Vista, 7, Mac. I think I saw a post from a Linux user also. Very simple, exefile.exe is trying to access a protected part of memory when one is alt-tabbed out and a new session loads. The question becomes: Is that part of memory protected for system use or is it protected because exefile.exe has been minimized?

CCP: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING....
Currently I crash more now.
Along with the following errors that still persist:
STARTING UP: No sound for about a minute. Also while docked at the stations the client(s) are eating far more CPU/GPU than they do in space. In fact, I've noticed an amazing increase in what I guess I now should personally call "station lag"... especially when working with labs and the market.
THE BIG KICKER: I set up a public channel over 1.5 years ago. It wasn't until June 6 or 7th that the window would take up 30-50 seconds of frozen time, then load up a blank chat window. I see no MOTD nor any text, however, everyone else says it's fine and they see what I type. I appear not to have any rights to change anything (which I thought changing the MOTD would reset something)... Nope, I have no rights, even though I creat4ed it and I had a fellow named operator of the list try to adjust things - also resulting with the same problem. So, I have filed a petition, but this honestly makes no sense. Something is going on since it takes 30-50 seconds just to join the channel or load the channel...
MARKET: Sometimes when changing tabs on the market window, it "slides apart" vertically. In actuality, I've noticed this when placing corporate purchase orders, making hte order, and tabbing to corp orders shows the listing of Buy Orders in a "table/column" whose height is higher than the height of the window itself. And YES, the only solution is to CLOSE and REOPEN.
ORDER OF THINGS: Default ordering direction of columns is enforced. In fact, no amount of clearing/resetting cache will fix this. It's like my old bug report of "Window Amnesia" only now it's Window Content Amnesia". And I, too, set columns newest-to-oldest, but they never remain.
STILL UNANSWERED/IGNORED ISSUE: Are "standings" a forbidden issue to discuss or something, because I refuse to let it be yet another issue that "CCP hopes I'll just forget..." like CCP has done many times with many issues in the past [bug reports filed for proof]. I have yet to really read any official response considering all the frictional feedback and issue threading from so many people wanting standings back. I personally would be content with just FACTION standings only.. How else am I going to be able to see how our corp-average standing is doing with certain space for POS anchoring, and also who (and who is not) doing well in areas that may be dragging the corp(s) down with sovereign space(s).... or who to hire without always asking for limited APIs (which is more hassle than it is worth sometimes)?
-It is a vital hiring tool for many CEOs. -It serves as an assisting aid for those in need of mission help (and peer assessment) within a corp -And it appears to be vital even for players of the PVP /"mission hunting" persuations.
I think everyone's need for publicly viewable faction standings is logical and necessary for this game to continue as intended... Otherwise, what's the point of standings anymore?
THING 1: What the hell is with all this intensively overused translucent symbols, columns, in rows, in windows... especially the HUD! It's getting hard to see what I need to see. And you promised to fix it... I'm not seeing much difference. In fact, I see nothing too different from the original UI - except some ugly changes in color choices... and WHY are ALL THE SCROLL BARS so gradiently shaded that half of them I can't see what to click on?? I downloaded 500+ Mb for what? More problems and STILL unfixed errors and bugs that haven't been taken care of since October 2010?
LITTLE THING 2: Undocking sometimes has me magnified so close to my ship, it's ridiculous. I might as well be in the ship with a first person point of view...

This first one is a new one just discovered:
OVERLAPPING TEXT: When you approach a secure can in space, and the window opens up and asks you to "Please enter the access password", the word "password" is pushed to the next line below in the small, fixed-size window and overlaps the box to enter the password itself.
And then there's the oldies but "goodies":
STROBING STARS: It's still flickering away. Yes it has been reported. yes cache is cleared. Yes graphic cards are updated and higer than requirements. Bug report filed last year. (Perhaps I'm being subliminally programmed to drink more Quafe?)
UNREAD MAIL PERSISTS: Some emails still persist to be marked as unread. Some of them change, but the ones that remain unread were ones written and/or received between Feb 21 UTC DT through Feb 23's UTC DT. Bug Report filed 108058. Still unresolved.
And saving the "best" untouched (yet noted as "a known issue") for last:
CORP DESCRIPTION EDITOR BUG STILL EXISTS: Inside the CEO Interface, under the HOME tab, under "EDIT DETAILS" and all I want to do is AUTOLINK character names.
[To see what I'm talking about: Look up and show info on Bloodstone Industries and read Description. Scroll to the bottom where names are shown.]
Look at my name in the description, for example:
Jared Tobin (CEO,Economist,Security Ops)
I highlight "Jared Tobin", rightclick it, selectect AUTOLINK and select CHARACTER.
It gives me THIS ERROR MESSAGE:
"No owner can be found with 'n (CEO,Econ' in the beginning of its name."
So the problem is still there SINCE 2010: No matter what you are visually selecting and highlighting, apparently the computer code itself (or the function call of the UI for the Corporate Information section) is taking a selection and physically (in its memory) "moving it over" by what appears to be 10 ASCII characters "to the right" of the beginning of what the user sees as their own selection made.
(As per GM Renril, I filed a Bug Report: #108061... Problem 9 months later, still unsolved.)

I decided to uninstall and re-download EVE. Now the crash happens earlier than before. A second or two after I've logged into the game with my character, the client crashes to desktop. I've tried twice, the 2nd time in windowed mode (alt+enter).
Earlier, before the uninstall/reinstall, EVE would crash consistently whenever I tried clicking on the Agents tab in a station.
Before I could at least play some aspects of the game, just not do missions. Now I can't even change skillz. And a little over a week ago I bought 4xPLEX for ISK to increase the subscription period of my two accounts by 2 months each.
Not being able to train for 2x2 PLEX worth of time. Sweet!

Trying to start client, I get the error: Your EVE installation may have modified, damaged, or corrupt files please re-install or run repair.exe
Ran repair, didn't work. Re-installed, played once, and same message upon attempt to play a second time. I don't want to have to re-install each time I play.
Searching brings up that this is an old problem, but the old fixes don't look like they'll work given how different /bin/ looks now from 4 years ago. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

Yes that RAM is right. I mess with large batches of photos. Yes I know I need to upgrade to 7 enterprise to get the full 24gb. Yes I play in 1360x768. I hooked up an HDTV to my pc and EVE doesn't like going above the crappy native resolution, even though it can go to 1920x1080 (in hindsight, I should've done more research on that). With everything else cranked it still looks pretty amazing though so I'm not worried about it.

Also there are no tooltips shown over bookmarks on the system map, planets work fine and if there's a planet and a bookmark in the same spot, both will be listed as tooltips.

Still got the problem of the bookmarks in the system map not showing text when the mouse is placed on them.
I also noticed that when structures are targeted, the target lock 'Crosshair' doesn't show up on the screen when the view is out, have to zoom in to see it.
On a side note, I also think that the Faction standings should be listed in the character info box.

I'm glad people are still posting problems. I'm trying to post at least once every day while the game is unplayable for me. I known once they launch in 11 days no one is really going to have time to look at my problem and find a fix. The UI just vanishes.. :(

Hey CCP, are you going to fix the random Windows 7 error message "Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered" that I get while jumping gates????
It's really annoying. It doesn't happens all times, but sometimes I can do 20 jumps and get the crash message 20 times.

When you approach a gate or station you see the other ships on your overview. As they jump or warp off, they stay on the overview but turn transparent.
If you reload the overview its okay again, until the next jump. Minimise the client, then maximise it and its okay again, until the next jump. This doesn't happen all the time, it will stop for a while and then start again, but it is occurring on 2 different machines and 2 different accounts.

Im not sure about the specifics with regards to the person whos post you have quoted, but do you not realise that this major fault with the wishy-washy colours of the CPU/Damage bars needs changing back to what it was pre-patch days? The bars need to be the old bright red and the CPU not a stupid transparent colour. In certain parts of space both of these are impossible to see. Why do you struggle to see this?
Do all of us have to fill petitions in with regards this, or will those be ignored like our comments in here have been?

I dont think so, the patcher used in integrated in the client.
What you might want to try: 1)Say No to installing the patch 2)Press ESC 3) go to the GENERAL SETTINGS tab 4) Hit the UNINSTALL button, under HELP, where it says "An update has been appilied to your client". 5) Restart the client, see if it can install the patch now...

Well the update is kinda important, due to the crash issues.
IS your virus scanner set to scan all files, or just executables ? It might be a malware/spyware/virus scanner program preventing the update from writing the file.

STATIONS TRYING TO MAKE A FAST ISK: When at a station which your corporation has never had an office at, and you hit "CORP HANGAR" button in station (by accident), instead of it informing you that you do not own an office in that station (I forgot where I was parked...), instead it tried to rip me off with this sly error:
"The items from your corporate hangar have been impounded due to the non-payment of bills for the hangar. If you wish to have the items released to you, you must pay for them. The cost is 3272056 ISK. Do you accept this fee?"
Gee... Considering there is and never was an office at that station, and there would be no items released to me, EVE is now scamming honest players out of ISK. [chuckling] You guys might want to fix that one.

Where can I find the log file you checked?
In the EvE Directory there is a logserver.exe file . Make sure you close all instances of EvE , launch logserver.exe and then create a new workspace.Start eve and you should see some logging messages appear.
Have you tried my second edit ? That seemed to have done the trick for me unless I was very lucky.Very strange that 2 saffers would suffer the exact same problem.
Wonder if there's a dodgy filemirror somewhere maybe or a bad cached copy or something.

Confirming I get this as well on my primary PC (running Windows 7) had it since 1.6 and it persists even after today's patch. It can occur when jumping gates, logging in, jumping a wormhole or undocking. It happens even with only a single client running in the foreground.

EVE unusable for 10 days.
Incursion 1.6.1 unusable. Login screen out of focus, flashes, no user interface(UI) element appear on screen. Sometimes during a flash a UI elements will appear for a second.
* Client update #1 didn't fix it.
* Deletion of cache and setting folders didn't fix it.
* Running repair.exe didn't fix it. Repair tool failed.
Well petition for feedback.
Maybe, Incursion 1.6.1(CCP) has changed something(s) to brake our system, and denied access to our subscriptions.

Not sure, but a few google peeps in regards to consumer rights and online gaming. I think the UK have a win, others should review thier rights also. These are beyond EULA, companies still have to operate within a standard.
Many issues are still unresolved with the last "whatever the hell it was" even tho I've invested a lot really to make online gaming a hobby. You sirs have made me throw it all away out of spite that you do not deserve my next dollar!
I logged in today to perhaps run some missions considering the amount of hassle Wspace could lead into. Something simple... NO!
Graphic glitches, simple tasks that worked before no longer. Bookmark selection in map view, double click to open wrecks, and OMG! what did you do to the graphics system! What is the plan here? Make it fail for a reson to implement free play and micro transactions? Kill it to promote your other game....? Or just be total douche to your customer base and rely on the fact that they have made an investement.
'tis a far shame to know you ****ed enough peeps off to just quit after investing 100s 1ks in helping you keep it going.

I run two clients and have for some time now. And like many others, since 1.61 the crashing (BSoD or CTD) has increased tenfold. After some thinking about what I was seeing and what Eve had just gone thru .. I went into the graphics tab - saw "Post Processing" and saw what it was supposed to do, disabled it. Now I'm back to crashing once every few days ...
I'm not saying this is the "blue pill" but it worked for me and made sense (to me) since they'd just over hauled the shader code ...

Client Update #2 for Incursion 1.6.1
My Client all the time fails to update the above update.
it all the time downloads 5346 KB file and the I get: Client Update Failed unable to install the client update.
I've tried to clear my cache before updating the client, but it didn't work.
After I press OK, I can play the game, but the next time I launch the game I need to go through all this again.
I fear that when the next patch will come, my client will not be updated and it won't allow me to patch my game.

- When T3 ship appear in overview or jump to the gate - players clients randomly crash who near this T3 ship. This bug was repaired in February patch, and now it's here again. Very annoing when your fleet crash for enemy T3 ship who just simply jump to system.

This, pretty much. Just revert everything UI-related back to the original values. Again, including things like the button to adjust scan angle. It needs to be larger and brighter, please.
Not sure this was mentioned before, but the camera drone / perspective adjustment in-game seems twitchy to me, at times. I just want to adjust it a little or click once by accident while moving the mouse, and all of a sudden there's a giant camera spin going on.

A Mordus Mammoth sudenly teletransported on me!!!
I'm doing The Mordus Headhunters lvl 4 mission. I have to chase this Mammoth cause my missile range is shorter than his ideal sniper distance. So I try to aproach and he tryes to retreat. I'm a little faster so once Im in range I shoot in a sort of persecution. Then when we are about 120 Kms fromn the buildings he suddenly disapears and pops in the original point. I don't think is due to we reached the end of the pocket. I have had more than 200 Kms persecutions in missions like blocade more than once. Is this a bug?

Hooray more UI issues... Latest client update installed etc.
Speed indicator stuck again, said "warping" when the ship wasn't. After I actually warped somewhere, it reset to 0 m/s but ended up stuck in that position, saying "0 m/s" even when I manually adjusted the speed.
Had a system name get stuck as one of the systems I autopiloted through, even when I arrived at my destination. All the other system info was shown correctly ("nearest", "constellation" were all right, just not the system name itself). Additionally, had no "undock", "ships" or "items" buttons on the Neocom when docked in station.
Not sure if it's just my own computer/keyboard doing something really ******ed, but it seems that some of my modules haven't been activating on first command. E.g. I jump through a gate in a covops, hit "warp" to a destination, hit "F1" for cloak and the cloak stays off. With that, no "no cloak for you because you're still gate-cloaked, fool" message. I tried cloaking while well in warp and the first instance of hitting the cloak had zero effect, but the second worked fine. Saw the same thing regardless of whether I used the mouse or keyboard shortcuts, and it didn't happen every time I initiated the covops-cloaking. Same happened to probe launchers and propulsion modules, but the cloak was most obvious as it created some rather stressful situations Have not had this happen before. No bug report filed as I'm not sure it's a game-related bug and not just my own input being faulty.

Bookmark tooltips remain broken. Mousing over bookmarks in the system map don't show what the bookmark is to, or allow right-click to bring up the context menu. This makes finding specific sites almost impossible in w-space, where bookmark names are relied upon. |

im still getting the graphics adaptor has recovered error even with 1 client after every jump sometimes screen stays black and does not recover :(

I found out that the problem was specific to my main character. Not even my main account, but only my main character on that account. I could log on just fine with my alt on my alt account (Salpad IV), and also with alternative characters on my main account (Sal II and Sal III which I created to use as market scouts, but never really began using).
My alt (Salpad IV) still couldn't access the Agents tab.
Just now I cleared the cache (from in-game) and uninstalled the update, and after that the game lets me log in with my main and set skillz (I've set a nice long one, 33 days of skill queue, just to ward against further ****ups from CCP).
I don't know if I can access the Agents tab without the client crashing, but I'll try that now...
... Interesting. The Agents tab was preselected. That makes sense because my main, Salpad, is the character I run missions with, and this also eplans why the client crashed on log-in consistently, specifically for him.
Anyway, now I can access the Agents tab with my main, so I'd be very surprised if I can't also access it with my alt.
I shouldn't have done two things at once, both clear cache and uninstall client update, of course. It'd have been more scientific to do one, then see what effect that has, then do the other and see what effect that has. So now I'll try to install the client update again, after finding a more desirable long skill to train, and report back later on what happens.

Okay, after re-installing the update, I can still log in just fine, and access the Agents tab in station. So the root cause of the problem must have been corrupted cache of some kind.
Just odd I've never had a corrupted cache before after having played my main for 4 years 3 months, and my alt for a bit over 2 years.
But either way, this proves that my problem hasn't got anything to do with the 1.6.1. update or the more recent un-version-numbered updates, and that when EVE ****s up, it's a good idea to try clearing your cache, even if you don't think the problem looks like it might be a corrupted cache problem.

It's really annoying. It doesn't happens all times, but sometimes I can do 20 jumps and get the crash message 20 times.
Confirming I get this as well on my primary PC (running Windows 7) had it since 1.6 and it persists even after today's patch. It can occur when jumping gates, logging in, jumping a wormhole or undocking. It happens even with only a single client running in the foreground.

Client crashes check, simply shuts off and reboots without any form of error message what so ever.
Client freezing up, aye that also happens for a few minutes, half of the time it means it will crash and restart.
Most annoying thing is there is no error message about what in kane's name went wrong.
and yes I cleared the chache

Problem with Character Sheet.
When I cick to go onto my Char Sheet, all the tabs sometimes appear blank, they onli way to get them to appear again is to log off and log on again.
This doesnt seem to happen straight away, but after a while of click back and forth on the Character Sheet, it then starts to happen.
Is there any solution this, thanks.

1. Anomolies and signatures showing up much further than 4 AU from nearest celestial.
2. Sometimes when you launch probes, some don't get labelled/numbered, therfore you cannot center on them. Sometimes its just 2 or 3 out of 5, sometimes its the first, it seems random.
3. Probes not showing up in combat/deep space scans, even when a specific filter for them is set up and used. Also, my orca DOES show up, even when filtered out. I think Filtering needs to be looked at.
4. More than one WH of the same type as the "static" showing up, in many cases (again) further than 4 AU from any celestial.
5. Two sides of the same wormhole giving different info as to "mass left/lifetime left" simultaneously.
6. Bookmarks not synced to the map at all (bookmark shows on map out by Planet 7, but is actually less than 1 AU from the sun, when warped to.) This seems to apply more to bookmarks copied to the P&P folder, rather than ones you just scanned out yourself.
7. The beacon icons on the map seem persistent beyond session changes. This is new. And annoyingly, I cannot seem to get rid of the info line for them, which interferes with future probe scanning.
8. Impossible to even do a "edit/view location" on a bookmark covered by a beacon icon. So is that Perimeter Hangar #4, or #2?

Another tiny side effect I have noticed, ships are not leveling off very well. I used to press ctrl-space or click 'Stop The Ship' and they would always level off now sometimes they get stuck in an ever so slightly jaunty position.

My Client Update keeps Failing. It downloads the update till 100% and then says update failed. I am however able to play once the update fails. Any suggestions?

Now an issue I didnt bring before due to is hard for me to describe it and major bugs would need first priority before opening this one. It is about the windows of floating cans when you loot large defeated fleets.
Ok, there I go my try: First you salvage all that are in range. Then youre surrounded by several floating cans. You can go overview and start opening them all. The first one opens in whatever position you determined. I will call this origin point. Now the next will open next to this one, overlaping it a little bit under and right to the first one. So will do the same the next one over the second, third and on and on. At the endo you have a cascade of windows as much as cans you have opened. As you then drag contents to the cargo bay, windows desapeard untill you have looted them all. So far so good. Now, lets say you move to another cluster of fallen enemy ships, or even get another mission and complete it. Any case that requires to start all looting proces again. Should the new looting process start first window in origin point again? Because it doesnt do it anymore, but continues the previous cascade series from last position of last looted can. I dont think it was like that before 1.6
I dont know if I was able to explain myself.

got 2 issues.
1* changing to cheeta in wormhole at my pos makes it zoom way out.
2* Running cosmic anomaly¦s in my wormhole, in my drake gives me 0hp damage in sheild. And procentages readout only shows armor and structure damage.
fine by me, but must be looked at.

Interesting that you both have a similar setup - we're trying to find a machine with a similar setup to yours to see if we can reproduce this internally. So here's a new one, since the patch, my graphics are incredbly screwed. I've tried reinstalls, driver reinstalls, and I get wierd artefacts on ships, extra poly's, messed up lighting and sometimes the ship will just go transparent black. Oh and random colour clouds.
Does it regardless of settings it seems, I've tried it on every optimised default from performance to quality. Was absolutely fine until the patch. Works fine on my other PC. Just this laptop (Core i7, W7 x64, 8GB RAM, and GTX460M).
Any ideas?

Sure.
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit, patched with all critical updates. CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 6400, running stock specs. RAM: 6GB RAM, running stock specs. GPU: nVidia 7900GS (256MB vram), latest nVidia driver, running stock specs.
Observed behaviors:
The client (only a single client running at the time) will CTD sometimes during a gate jump and sometimes just randomly while in-space and flying around. I was not experiencing these CTDs after the 1.6.x patch, contrary to many others... that is, until the optional patch from last week.
I have not noted the exact times at which the crashes occurred, so pinpointing errors in the windows application event viewer is not an exact science. But here are a few events on which to chew from a few days ago(6/13/2011):

EVE unusable for me for 15 days( Okay 14 days, minus 1 for DDOS problems.).
Problem: Login screen fleshes, and pops. Graphics screwed up. Nothing is useful on it.
File a petition. Got reply in modest reply time, and one sentence. Graphics card is not powerful enough to run the 1.6.1 login in screen. Login screen worked in 1.5.
That's right the login screen 1.6.1 now requires more powerful graphics. It's a login screen. LOL

I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but - after logging in, just before the char portrait screen, I get a random flash of some space background - just for a second. That is new, for me - I thought it might be related.

Have rebooted my machine and restarted my internet connection to clear any dodgy caches. Not sure if there's anything else I should have a look out for.
Edit2:Renaming the C:\ProgramData\CCP\EVE\c_eve_online_tranquility directory and letting the patch download again seems to have fixed this problem.
I've tried renaming the folder and I've tried deleting and downloading the update several times. Nothing works - Has anyone got a fix?
I'm also based in South Africa, so there's probably a stupid caching proxy somewhere which hasn't downloaded the file properly and now us South African's are being served the corrupted file off the proxy. |

When my CAP display gets low, it dims down. So, at precisely the time when i need to see exactly what it says, i can't tell what it says. I remember reading that something was done to "improve" the cap display recently. Frankly, I'm so angry with whoever that was that i cannot even speak. My blood pressure is 5000/3450 and my heart rate is 832. Please can you fix this, I'm getting a little uncomfortable. Thanks, Sub

New issue happened to me last night. My ship wouldn't stop moving. Using ctrl-spacebar or hitting the "stop ship" icon both result in a "stopping ship" message box, but the ship keeps right on moving. I can slow it down to a crawl, but not stop it.
This also happened to a corpmate of mine. For me, restarting the client fixed it. - sig |

This should probably go in a feedback thread, but I didn't see one for 1.6.1.
I think the capacitor display is now readable with some effort. But I would really prefer not having to put in effort to read a display that is such a core functionality for the game.
I think you should focus on easily readable displays rather than graphical bling.
In essence the old one was better. The new one still annoying.

Did someone ever mentioned that NOT the billboards are flipped but the GATES itself ????
best prove: jump from Frarn to Rens, normaly your ship will be pointed in direction of inner system / stations, now u will always be pointed 180¦ opposite direction.
this can be seen in many locations if you kept track of your jump behaviour... Eifer -> Gusandall, was pointed to a moon after jump, now u are almost aligned to station after jump....
So instead of adding code to change location of billboards, just fix the Gate itself, then the bb will be on its sposed spot again too ^^

I am grateful for a response to the bug report about us players who have been experiencing the "inactive chat channel" bug mentioned earlier by myself and a few others... but I am surprised no one from CCP has posted an official solution.
So, since I received the solution privately in my email account, I feel it only necessary to post this response (and solution to the bug/error) for others out there (since I'm sure CCP has a lot on their plates right now...):
"Hi,
Thank you for contacting customer support.
The issue is caused by a bugged MOTD in the channel. What you need to do is clear the MOTD, by pressing ctrl+a to make sure everything is selected and press delete, once that is done you can type new MOTD.
The bugged motd will cause the entire chat channel to brake.
Best regards, Senior GM Xamother EVE Online Customer Support"
I cleared the MOTD of my channel and "voila"... Problem solved. A fully functioning chat channel which I was able to create a new MOTD for the channel without any problems. It seems there was something of a mix up for many self-created channels during the 1.6 and 1.6.1 updates.
Hope this helps others.

I don't crash but my client either minimizes or I get a black screen for a second. It used to just crash but this is still an issue considering it costs me up to 8 seconds everytime I jump or undock. More than enough time for someone to catch up to me.

Dito for me especially the last week. I already reported this on the older 'issue' thread. Plus the sound issues is not helping either. It really starts to get on my nerves that everytime i do a mission with an acceleration gate the gate sound keeps playing endlessly till I force a relog. And then after the relog crash after like 10 minutes again.
My sub runs out in 5 days, I love the game, but not like this.

(This thread, if you'll notice, is old and was used for "Incursions 1.6.1"... Besides, dividing what little of the CCP DEV's attention between the current thread and this older, defunct thread most likely would be counterproductive.)
