i been playin since 1 week after Uk release i think most of us "older players" of eve should be given some kinda reward... If there are any troubles or questions please let us know. We will do our best to resolve any issues and promise not to place a curse on you or send trolls to eat your children!

No way - vet rewards are the biggest crock of **** in those games.
They just become another thing to be collected or sold and help make new players feel less at home when poseurs run round with them.
Players don't need a 'reward' for playing a game - that in sooooo sad -- ** All accounts cancelled - have fun guys ** |

I would only want it to be something like a virtual medal or something. Nothing big like some uber module or ship. __________ Capacitor research |

Yeah, something like the Medal or Jovian Body Part (non-tradable) would be nice.

If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU.

Doesnt have to be anything big. I remember when I was playing SWG they gave all the older players pictures to hang on their virtual walls. There was a set of eight to collect, was pretty cool.
For Eve, something similar would be nice. Say four weapons, and to make each weapon you would need 5 pieces. Each veteran would only get one piece per account. You could buy or trade for other pieces. After you collect all 5 you can assemble the weapon. (make it 1 weapon for each race, projectile, laser, hybrid and a launcher).

I think CCP have less useless things to implement first.

so youre saying that CCP are going to implement planetary based aspects to the game - that would be a good start as would mobile player bases (ie the abilitiy to slowly move from planet to planet - would open up new aspects as well)

veteran rewards perhaps in and when they add new systems, planets and stations you could have them named after the players that get certain rewards ?

So long as it's purely cosmetic and doesn't include things like new ships or components then i don't think anyone would have a problem with it. That last thing however that vets need is an advantage over newer players that their experiance and skill points don't already give.
And i hated the UO vet rewards too. Ethereal mounts were unbalancing, especially around the time everyone and their dog carried bola's and mount killed. Although part of that might have to do with my belief that 50%+ of the accounts in UO are no longer held by their original owners. But i digress...

You mean people still play UO ? I expected it to have like all but closed down by now.
played it on and off during like 7 years. Just cause there wasn't anything better I could get my friends to play. _______________________________________________

The number of people leaving the game certainly seems to be increasing but it's believed there are still around 150k accounts active right now... Of course, untill recently i owned three and i've heard of some with 20+ so god knows how many unique users there are now.
And the funny thing is, they opened a new server recently too! Of course people flooded to it, i'm sure the EA accountants are happy.

There's already one. He's called Gaius Kador.
"Slavers are extremely vicious and blood-thirsty, but they can be tamed as long as the training starts while theyĆre still small cubs. The slavers are allowed to roam free outside the barbed parameters of the acres of the plantations. A preferred tactic of the slaver is to attack from above; for this it often lurks in high places, even trees, or by simply jumping many meters into the air and landing on their unsuspecting prey. " - Eve Chronicles.
