theelusiveyoda	Posted - 2011.06.14 09:28:00 - [2] Get a hulk and fit as many sensor boosters to it as possible, it can pretty much instant lock anything, it doesnt need to agro the target to make it stay uncloaked just be locked onto it, so sit it right ontop of the gate wait for a unexpected prey to jump in and laugh at them in local when they got killed in part due to a mining ship. LOL HULK

You'll still be losing targets due to server latency and/or your reflexes. Gimping your fit to provide extra scan res really wont make much difference. You'd be much better served getting a friend in an inty to burn for them the instant they decloak and (hopefully) decloak them. ---------- Who, me?

You see a gate/WH activation move mouse to top of overview, hold ctrl, start clicking :P I am interested in this as may help in WH ops also.

Have an instant locking hictor and a Huginn/Rapier. Don't get scared by people saying it's exploit, those people are dumb and will never give you a petition ID to back that claim up.

And the scan res thing I thought was a troll until I joined FW where everyone thinks having thousands of scan res means you can catch cloakies.

Pretty much this. He can choose to move and cloak any time he wants within 30 sec window, you have to select and click while being alert the whole time. It's stacked against you by design, working as intended. So yeah, set up overview to show only ships, set up single hotkey for targeting. Mouse hover over top of overview, left hand on hotkey.

I have heard that piling excessive junk around the gate for uncloaking is an exploit because it causes lag aka "space time turbulence." Lock speed is a part of it, but it is the second step after getting an uncloak.

The way this has been done for as long as I know is remote sensor boosting an inty. With leadership bonus and 3 t2 RSBo's it is easy to get an inty over 6k Resolution. It doesn't appear to be a problem with 150-200 T1 drones within 20km of gate. Well we don't know that for sure but none of the petitions about it have come up with a definitive answer. Drone spamming appears to be fine

Dont make your fit suck to get more scan res that does nothing in the end. I don't have the math handy at what point scan res becomes pointless as due to server limitations. So if anyone feels like posting that feel free. Your best bet to catch them is to burn the direction they are and hope to bump them after they cloak up honestly.
