I never bought a Vagabond. This changes the day I see this thing on the market. CCP, give the designer a raise, then chain him/her to his/desk and don't unlock him/her until all the Minmatar hulls (except the Hound) have received the same amount of love and care.

I'm completely for this sleeker Minmatar look (Tornado, Hound, Reaper), duct tape/rust comments be damned. Minmatar ships should feel Minmatar because of the design philosophy behind the ships, not because they look like ****. The Stabber/Vagabond is sharp, fast, it's engines are an overwhelmingly large portion of the ship -- that's Minmatar. Also, I'm curious as to where the T1 cruisers will be headed between now and Winter. I've flown the Stabber quite a bit, but a gorgeous new model and potentially better ship (thanks to the balancing) might just make me want to have some fun in it again.

I don't want to see the Moa go down that road. I want it to be a ship that is primarily used with Rail Guns as intended and Deadly with them as it should be. If that means tweaking medium LR weapon balance then so be it. There aren't any current T1 Cruisers that use LR weapons effectively and that should be looked into.

I also din't like mounting guns on them, because they are twice the size of the ship.. okay, maybe a little less than half the size individually. It also doesn't seem to matter which guns; small or medium they all look the same. A better hull will be nice though. For some reason, I think of mud-green paisleys every time I think of the Stabber. I have deleted and cleared my signature 7 times and it still won't go away.

Back on track, I like A LOT how CCP managed to convey both the utilitary and "barebones" Minmatar style with new textures and new design concepts & trends. The ship does look QUITE Minmatar, but at the same time looks shiny, solid and well built, unline the current model. They could renew all the Minmatar line with this kind of approach and I would be very happy indeed. The best thing is how CCP designers manage to avoid overlapping styles between races. Each race retains their own flavor through all graphic overhauls. I love the new Hound and I love the new Stabber/Vagabond hull. I wish they did the Cyclone next.

Anything to get the job done quickly and get those ships into space for defence against the long established Amarr technological advantage. It also makes sense that with time, Minmatar ship builders have been starting to develop more sophisticated and refined ship designs. With the more recently designed Tornado, and the redesigns of the Reaper, Hound, Vagabond and now the Tempest these Minmatar ship builders are maintaining the design principles and cultural styling of their ships, but taking advantage of more advanced fabrication methods.

The new vaga is alright, but the current hull is much more Minmatar. Last time I checked frill/ears were a luxury the republic just couldn't afford. Surprised they had them in the first place. For everyone that wants to turn Minmatar ships into some kind of high tech caldari hull that has no rust on it. Shame on you.

It's AMAZING when you compare it to the horrible piece of crap it was before. The best thing is that CCP's art team CAN give the Minmatar new and improved looks, while at the same time being still clearly recognizable as Minmatar hulls & style. The new Vagabond is great, and it's 100% Minmatar. It's not Gallente, Amarr or Caldari. It's Minmatar, and looks good. Just like the new Hound. Best looking bomber now. So it's possible. And all Minmatar ships should get the same treatment because of this. The new Vagabond looks so much better than the old one, that it's become OBJECTIVELY better. Taste of players is irrelevant at this point. It IS better, and there is NO possible argument fueled by misplaced nostalgia.
