Last week CCP announced that Dust 514 was going to be an exclusive partnership with Sony. This week we get attacked by the same ******ed **** flinging monkies kept the PSN down for a month.
I for one do not believe in coincidences. We can probably expect more of this until anonymous gets bored or Dust 514 is canceled.

No. You can blame the ****tards who did this. If you don't like the game, why do you play it? |

This was my thought exactly. I do not believe in coincidences either. Eve online has never been a target until now as far as I know.

àor maybe the "non-coincidence" you're looking for is that CCP is a game company? ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Anonymous and LulzSec are two separate entities. If this is the case (Going after CCP for supporting Sony), then why did LulzSec also go after the following
Previously: The FBI Bethesda Softworks Senate.gov ...and more.
Today: Minecraft The Escapist Magazine League of Legends finfisher.com

Minecraft; does a version of it on the Vita (Sony) Escapist; Yahtzee probably didn't dislike a Sony related product (or wait, that's Minecraft again). EVE; Dust, PS3 exclusive (Sony)
But really, this discussion is pointless. They were taking requests via phone and Twitter.

I think that Dust 514 is probably indirectly responsible for the attack. Someone from lulz probably was ****ed off about the whole Dust PS3 thing, just like so, so many eve players. Minecraft was the victim of an attack last year because Notch wasn't releasing enough updates. I imagine that this attack was similarly motivated. Maybe if people could be mature and realize that nothing is perfect then we wouldn't have these attacks, but as we all know "we destroy the things we love".

Well, Seeing as Lulzsec asked for targets for today, I would probably start by looking at Eve players not happy with Dust before claiming it was directly due to the link between Sony and CCP, but thats just me.
Also, Anonymous != Lulzsec

Way to ignore the previous posts in this thread.
EDIT: You guys need to realize that they took "requests" from people on twitter/phone today, someone unrelated to lulzsec (we need to add lulzsec in addition to null, low, and high btw) could've just gone "hit the eve online servers", and they might've done it simply because they CAN. You're reading into this too much.

They took requests therefore they did it according to the request. That's brilliant thinking. No criminal ever tried to cover their tracks.
FFS their name is taken from Eve online culture. . Adapt and overcome or become a monkey on an evolution poster.
