i think it would be a good idea to have a seprate bay like a orca's ore bay but on a exhumer for christals.
the bay would only have to be at most 1000m3 so it can fit 10 t2 christals.
what dose everyone think?
thanks

Been mentioned before, but still an excellent idea +1 Its not so much space, it just the convience of having the crystals and the ore seperate. Escaped Gobbo from Warhammer |

good idea, but make sure the amount is divisible by crystal volume * 3 otherwise it will just be irritating. so for the amount you suggested. 9, 12, 15, 18, 21. somewhere in that range so you can carry different/spare crystals without having so many you never need to resupply.

ye i compleatly agree i think 9 T2 crystals would be enough to fit in a bay which would make it 450m3 whitch is reasonable..

I've posted the same thing in the past, so +1 from me.
Don't know what's reuqired to get it any further than one of those great and probably fairly simple ideas (the mechanics are already there) beyond this forum though.

It wouldn't do any good if you couldn't refit while in space though.

it could be made to only look in the bay for crystals like a capital ship only looks in its fuel bay for a jump

I'm not in favor of a new hold for every little thing we run across that we need to store. ...but why stop with crystals if this is a good idea; why not have a munition hold on every ship that holds probes, crystals, ammo, scripts, or cap boosters?

Edited by: Tyme Xandr on 18/06/2011 01:11:40 If CCP included a 'tabbed' feature for regular cargo holds this would solve a lot of the issues with things in mixed areas.
This wouldn't mean the cargo is in separate 'cargo containers' in the ship, it just means the ship is smart enough to keep the items in whatever designated viewing list.
This would mean there wouldn't need to be another hold for crystals in the hulk, another hold in t3s for paste, or another hold in ships for ammo only. This would appease a great majority.
EDIT: Wanted to add that this would be saved in a preference file locally, so it doesnt require additional information to be saved/loaded from the servers.
This of course means that if you use several computers you would have to reorganize ur cargo hold on each computer so they are the same.
