So I now have a thanatos, and am looking for the best way to fit it. Note, this is in a C2 WH, and I was mostly intending the ship for PvP, namely, smashing other people who try to put a POS up in my system, and repping my own POS's, and was looking for a bit of advice. So far the fit that I have come up with is:
[Thanatos, C2] Capital Armor Repairer I Capital Armor Repairer I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Damage Control II Capacitor Power Relay II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Capital Remote Armor Repair System I Capital Remote Armor Repair System I Capital Shield Transporter I Capital Shield Transporter I Capital Energy Transfer Array I
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
And of course, lots of drones.
With my current skills, I can permarun either the armor reps and energy transfer, or both armor reps, or run both shield reps for approx 13 minutes. Once I finish training up my carrier skills a bit, I will be able to permarun any of the above. Are there any recommendations for a setup that would better support what I'm trying to do with this?

Are you intending to transfer cap to your POS?

Nope... but it was an empty highslot and I couldn't think of anything else to put there. That being said, you can use it to cap bounce with a guardian/basilisk/dominix to be able to run more mods and make the already extreme tedium a bit less so by speeding things up a touch...

Your fit isn't bad; you'd just need to tweak it based on circumstances. Sometimes you'll want a sensor booster. Sometimes a different balance of remote shield/armor reps. Always consider having smartbombs and/or neuts in your highs to help break tackle. - sig |

The best thing about CARs is that they are very light on cap (well... relatively speaking).
Try something like this:
[Thanatos, New Setup 1] Capital Armor Repairer I Capital Armor Repairer I Armor Explosive Hardener II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution ECM Burst II
Heavy Energy Neutralizer II Heavy Energy Neutralizer II Drone Link Augmentor I Imperial Navy Large EMP Smartbomb Imperial Navy Large EMP Smartbomb
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Loads of drones of course.
It should be noted that i have seen modules on a carrier remain active even after the char in the carrier has logged off. I would suggest to see if that is a bug or it also occurs with your ship.
The DLA is something i have found handy in chasing away tackle frigs. Use light drones to chase them out of scram range to warp away

This is true for any ship, if you pull a logoff during a fight your modules will carry on functioning till you finally log off. Hardeners and whatever included. If skills still apply then, i dont know.

Edited by: Cataca on 20/06/2011 01:19:11 Im not entirely sure when it started, but i assume it is not a bug, but rather a mechanic to make logging off to escape a viable tactic as it happens every time you log off in open space.

A few things wrong with this fit. Replace an EANM with a Damage Control to improve both hitpoints and repair amounts (read up on stacking penalties). Also, a drone link augmenter is pretty useless if your goal is to chase frigates out of range; isn't 60k enough? Finally, if you're going faction for smartbombs you might as well go faction on neuts, too. The extra range will let you neut the tackle intys that stay out past 24k. - sig |

Long as I can remember. After random mission DC's I'd come back and my Domi would still be repping.
