Every day in Alliance chat Xetic folks have the same conversation at least twice while I am on, ôwhen will Stain attack?ö This is quite possibly the coolest situtation IÆve ever seen. Politics and reactions just like in RL.
Consider when PaulAtradies (thundercats) recently blasted a Xetic member running through HED. Immediately everyone assumed, ôoh the warmongering Stain guys are at war with usö and people started mobilizing talking about where there assets were and how we should respond to StainÆs aggression (see anymore everyone just assumes Stain is attacking rather than a mistake was made).
Every day someone says things like:
[ 2005.02.18 15:07:25 ] ***** > im being told stain are going to attack xetic soon
and I mean everyday this happens about 2-3 times. Xetic is really jumpy and waiting for stain to cross the line, everyone is all riled up. You might ask why but we all know the reason (FIX) and what is so awesome about his is Stain did basically a pirate action which has permanently ruined their reputation, and it has strained XeticÆs relationship so badly that the general Xetic person is just waiting for them to strike (many called for a removal of NAP). There is actually a political climate with cause and effect!!! It is really interesting and adds a dynamic level to the game I really appreciate.
Just wanted to point this out, donÆt want a flame fest, Stain have a lot of cool players and so does Xetic and many are friends. They either shot them selves in the foot or are the road to interstellar conquest, only time will tell. I'm just saying how cool it is on a game level that diplomacy and reputation have an effect.

Yes cause it is really hard to get into XETIC.
But that is irrelevant, as you are not in there chat, otherwise you would know how close XETIC and SE are, and that your attempts to take some of the heat off your alliance are futile.

just to let you know, i was there when the xetic guy got popped in hed. it was a mess-up with standings. nothing more and very regrettable.
stain wont go to war with xetic. friends are what they are, and friends they will stay.

Bobby I totally agree. The political winds in this game are facinating to see. Personaly, I dont think it is a matter of "If" SE will attack. It is more a matter of "When". Those "accidental" shootings will become more and more common. The NAP you guys have is not worth squat. FIX learned this. SE is currently trigger happy and love to shoot their neighbors.

I've been curious about this alt posting. As a political hack, I can see someone's need to discuss something that truly interestes them - politics - without trying to bring heat on their own corp.
I've read the original posters thread about 8 times now, and I get no sense whatsoever he is trying to stir the pot. I see it more as "observation - want to discuss without getting friends/corp in crap - post with alt"
This comes with a huge caveat that I have issues with flame bait alt threads. I just don't get that sense here. No names mentioned, talking in generalities, possible slight against Stain, or perhaps better phrasing in future if you want a better discussion. IE - Instead of Stain ruining their reputation, could have said "actions taken by Stain may have jeopardised their reputation". Let the Eve community decide, not you. They're smart folks and will draw their own conclusions for one way or another.
Anyways, my whole point of this post if someone wants to discuss generalities without getting their corp/friends in heat, how do they do it then without alts?

Gah..I'm an idiot. I completely missed this even after reading so many times. Mr Alt, I take it back. Started to defend you, but now realize you are stirring pot. Use your main and grab some cajoles(cajones? can't remember word)

"I am a member of this alliance because I typed this here: "xxx > stain will attack xif" <- see omg I am in Xetic"
Sometimes I wish CCP implemented a feature to the forums so every person who posted would have all his other character's names listed under the name of the one he's using at that time. It wouldn't solve the alts posting scandals problem completely but it would kick the problem well and firmly in the nuts

Mr. nobody, we don't just have a "nap" with Xif, we have a MDP (Mutual Defense Pact) and that makes them our most trusted allies.

XETIC is recently plagued by several pre-teen alts running around in alliance-channels and trying to stear up war with almost everyone in the universe.
We simply are to cool to make much of a deal about them. With an average membership-age of below one week they have not even enough access rights to mine Veldspar in Yulai so you might also ignore them. I do.

LOL! Of course FIX had a NAP with SE as well. When SE broke it a great many SE "nobodies" jumped into these forums trying to justify it as not convenient or benificial to SE anymore. So I stand by what I said. Anyone with a NAP or any other agreement with SE cannot count on it. It might not be convienent or benificial for SE if they get board and need someone to shoot at for entertainment.

FIX Folks
There's no need for any of us to justify or be involved with this thread. If at all possible let us, as a group, focus our attention on other threads (ones that involve FIX). Relations between Xetic and SE are not the concern of FIX and we have no input into those relations.
Not sure who the original poster was, but I don't recognize the verbiage used to be that of any FIX member (not to say it couldn't be, just that it likely isn't one of our more prominent members).

Personaly i¦ll shoot at fix people if needed, before i fire a shot at SE...

The day SE goes to war with Xetic is the day EVE goes offline forever.
The action Stain took with setting Fix to kos was not piratical in any way and had full justification on our part.
SE stands by it¦s true friends, and we count Xetic as a true friend.
