It just makes doing everything slower than the current UI. When in station I want to get crap taken care of and get out. I don't want to sit on a couch looking at information I can get from any billboard by a gate or walk at 2 pixels an hour to get across a 15 foot room to do the same thing I can do by pushing a button in the current interface.

Its a strain for an over clocked pc and reasonable good graphics card which supports divx 11 and the standard 4 gig of ram...
double boxing is possible with optimizing for performance and a NO fancy station stuff triple boxing... don't even go their !!!!

I am not normally one to post CCP-bashing comments, but I HAVE to this time.
I held off posting here until I had tried it, though I suspected it was not going to be good. Just got home from work and updated the client and spot on with the 'suspected it was not going to be good' part.....
I have a pretty good machine:
AMD Phenom II 1090T black 6 core CPU
12 GB of RAM
ATI 6870 Graphics card
This machine is only a couple of months old and has ran every game I have played at full detail without breaking sweat....BUT now
These readings are running 2 clients:
Before CQ
CPU - 6%
RAM - 2.5 GB
GPU Temp - 64
GPU Fan - 29%
After CQ
CPU - 60%
RAM - 3.2 GB
GPU Temp - 80
GPU Fan - 35%
These are big increases and the answer being trotted out about 'only older hardware are having issues' is a pile of crap to be honest. A large part of the EVE community runs more than one client and this is too big a performance requirement to be viable.
Just give us back the old hanger along with a button to disembark, then everyone will be happy. Those who want to play EVE can, and those who want to play dressup can also, as they will probably only be running 1 client anyway.

I was actually kind of excited for this expansion. Up until yesterday, I could run 4 accounts at max settings - two mining, one hauling, one running missions (yes I'm a carebear  ). I have two 5850's running in crossfire, and 3 24" monitors running at 1920x1080. I had next to no lag.
I logged in yesterday into my captains quarters, and thought it was an awesome start! I couldn't wait until the next expansion to actually go interact with others. I walked around, played with the controls... It was amazing walking up the balcony and seeing my ship there.
All in all, it was exactly what I was expecting. I was impressed.
Then, I logged in my second account...
FPS dropped through the floor. It was still playable, but it reminded me of some old fleet fights out in 0.0.
Then I logged in my 3rd account...
I almost laughed! Huge delays, client lock ups, and completely unplayable.
I decided not to try and start up the 4th account, and clicked escape and checked my now favorite checkbox to disable CQ on the two alt accounts.
I can still have it on my main, and turn the others off. I can still get up to 4 accounts on and playable. There is still some lag with this fix, and sadly I think it might be better to just turn it off on all accounts until it gets refined further, or expanded.
I still think Incarna has the potential to be great, but please CCP, do not take away the option for loading the station environment.

x mine's turned off as well
i won't be enabling it until ccp fixes the silly use of resources. i have never seen my gpu temp go above 70C, even while overclocked. had cq open for 15 minutes, shot up to 78C... *sigh

Had this had more ship skins, and less $60 virtual clothing for a doll, I would be into it.
Honestly, CCP. There has been a tremendous appetite for reskinning ships amongst the playerbase for years. We WANT this. And you could have GIVEN it to us, as proven by the gold-plated scorpion you released. Hey, that thing is badass! (also overpriced, will not be getting)
Instead you created a single-player environment doll-house at god knows what real development cost, it is a performance beast and those of us on a budget really can't afford to upgrade our machines. I did it for Trinity and very early this year, I got second-hand parts together for a better machine than what I had. I can't afford to upgrade my machine again, and so CQ is disabled. Seriously, guys. I've hung with you but I'm hitting a male cow fecal matter tolerance limit here.

I don't know what you are doing wrong, but my game is maxed out and I get straight 60 FPS all the time. I am using interval one, so the max is 60 anyways. Getting that FPS while my GPU is sitting at around 40-50% usage running at the cool 55-65 degrees Celcious.
I like the new expansion, but I am disappointed that they could only give us one room right now. I find the room a bit boring, there is not much to interact with. There are so many possibilities, like switching lights on/of(minor stuff like this), lying on the bed and watching TV(that couch doesn't look very conformable). Hell, I would love if I could choose what my screens are displaying! Browsing the net on your hightech hologram screen? Hell yeah! Browsing your market? Why not! More interactivity = better, imo. But there is still time for that.
To sum it all up, this new expansion adds nothing major to my gameplay as of now, but sure is cool. Yeah, I am not a huge fan of it but it opens up possibilities for more stuff that is way cooler. Cant wait to see what they will have accomplished near the end of Incarna.
