Changes to UI's in games should be for the better, as in, ease of use, lean on the eye, smoothness, added functionality.. etc.
I just dont see the point.. Its rubbish so far. If i wanted to see my spastic moving character I'd go play WoW or something similar, I play EVE because i like SHIPS. Not people, SHIPS!
CCP need to do a check on why people actually play EVE here imo, they have missed something pretty vital it seems.
If they had added spotlights that I could tweak around with to watch my ship in different lightning, colouring to the ships, modularity so I could make my ship look unique..
But no, we can now wear.. BLOUSES! Gee, thanks alot CCP.
wtf guys? Wake up and smell the coffe will ya, you are waay off here. More Sci-Fi. Less.. useless fluff that other games do and will do 100 times better anyhow.

Turned it off immediately, always kept with the same idea that EVE just isn't your box standard MMO... keep it that way.
Presumably they implemented CQ as a test stage for DUST 514? Guess work, I don't keep up with the lastest stuffs.

My comp runs it just fine, even with multiple clients, but watching a screen to watch a guy watching a screen seems kind of redundant...

I don't actually mind using it...if it didn't drop my FPS so much. Especially since I routinely dual/tribox, it's just not feasible to have it running.
But at the same time, that stationary backdrop of a door is so boring. At least show our ship please!

Agree that going into CQ should be an option, just like the "un-dock" button.
I don't have "TeH Best" computer, but it runs everything else just fine.

I believe you guys are just trolling for the trolling sake.
if you want to spin a ship, spin it in space. attach a button to the leave hangar short-cut and the new CQ don't slow you down. when you have used it a little, you don't really have to walk around if you don't want to.
I really don't see how incarna takes away anything from established players - your gameplay does not change, you just don't like that CCP tries to please other kinds of players than you. You simply love when new players bash the game in the forum and say they will cancell there sunscribtion, because thye don't get it, I guess that makes you feel better than them in some way. But come on, if you can still fly around and do your thing, what the hell does it matter that CCP tries to hit a wider audience
The only part of all your weeping I agree a little with - is that its seem a little expensive with the new currency - but let us see it play out before we judge it.
I think its great and its not much yet, but it will be in the furture, and sure you guys don't get anything this time,but this expansion atleast promisses me some off the gameplay I have been missing.

Looks neat and pretty although its useless from a gameplay perspective, I can understand that and take it as and important first step.
However, performance is crappy and it seems like it was done by amateurs.
SUGGESTION: make Aurum totally unrelated to PLEX/ISK so the "monocle vs. Dread" immersion breaking argument goes away. Charge whatever you want for items, price/volume optimization will come over time and depend on what people are willing to pay.
EVIL COMMENT: if I recall, you guys didn't want to put the AT qualifiers on you tube because the low quality would make CCP look amateurish. Please explain my CQ fps because it makes you guys look terribly worse.

The new CQ loads fine and is perfectly usable on my rig (~30 fps). But it does add a few seconds to load time and offers zero new functionality. So after looking around and exploring all the stuff, I turned it off. I also miss the ability to admire my ship from any angle I want. It doesn't seem you can rotate the ships so it's really annoying staring at the ass end of your favorite ship with no ability to change the angle. It seems to me CCP put forth a huge investment to give the players basically nothing.
I don't see this new feature adding any new accounts and the old guys like me certainly don't care. They could have done something cool like add bars where we could play poker and such with each other, but they didn't. Instead we have these sterile, lonely garages to sit in that add to load times and offer nothing new aside from the ability to look at my sad mug from any angle I wish.
