Edited by: Discodude on 13/03/2005 23:32:33 so if he's ok what's taking so long for him to return. If it's his router or internet why is it taking weeks to get this prob fixed call thje internet company or buy a new router.
What does big think we'll forget about this lotery with time..I think the lottery was loosing interest so Big decided to just keep the money from the last lottery and cancle the lotery.
Big better get this guy back on and get this round finished otherwise they'll loose all credatability as a fair corp in my eyes and probably many other's. -----------------------------------------------

No, probably just yours. I should imagine most people with some semblance of intelligence will see it for what it is. Little more than an inconvenience.
If you think Tornsoul would sacrifice his and (to a lesser extent) BIG's reputation over something that is mere pocket change to them you are sorely mistaken.

Seems to me Torn left EVE for good, and hereby trasht the last bit of credability in BIG.
If he did leave why doesnt BIG try to get his account? If he didnt leave why doesnt he reply for himself??
EDITED: READ: never said that BIG scammed everyone, learn to read!! Just said that some one else in BIG can continue the lottery while Torn repairs his internet connection !! VERY BIG DIFFERENCE

You people are too quick to attack someone
Like it's been said, who would steal such a tiny amount of cash when it would reflect on their whole corp?
In the amount of time TornSoul has been away they could have made waay more isk than the amount of money taken from tickets in lottery #47, it's really not so much .
Those of you who are annoyed at losing their 5mil so much to talk about "the last bit of credability in BIG", or to suggest they'd "keep the money from the last lottery and cancel the lottery" etc, I suggest you don't play, keep your 5mil next time - problem solved .
If it was me in Tornsoul's place I'd be annoyed at how quickly people jumped to such conclusions
I look forward to TornSoul's return, and the lottery continuing . ___________ ~Fredbob~

BIG corp does not use alts to post.
I'm honestly shocked it took this long for the trolls to start. Thank you so much for the delay, I appreciate it.
While I have not personally contacted Torn, he will be back when whatever computer issue he has is solved. I can most definatly tell you that this lottery is a small fraction of the last Imperial Armageddon drawing. If we didn't keep that isk, why do you possibly imagine we'd want to keep this one.
This lottery is handled manually by Torn, regardless of the number of tickets sold. All of the wallet entries are on his account (BIG Games character) and I will not be hacking into it. Torn would never run off with the lottery's cash. I'm sure sure some of you will be saying he could, and in the process of doing that, throw away nearly two years work and effort. And, not to mention, the reputaion of a respectable corporation he has a large part in building. (BIG for the flame blinded individuals.)
Yes Torn is unable to get here, No Torn will never take the lottery and run out on you. Yes the current lottery #47 isk are safe and in his account character BIG Games. No information is lost as it's all in his ingame wallet even if his computer is completely gone.
I have 0 clue why Torn has not contacted us himself. However I am fully confident he has his reasons.
For now the BIG lottery is on hold until Torn returns. Thank you for your flames, now please be patient. We are.

If 5million is not pocket change to you, then I would presume you've not been playing too long, and hereby welcome you to Eve Online , soon enough it will become a fairly insignificant sum of money to you . Good luck in both Eve and the BIG lottery ___________ ~Fredbob~

If you think TornSoul will run off with your measly 250m ISK, you're an idiot.
His toilet paper is worth more than that.

And no, I'm certainly not an alt. While it would be wonderful to fall into the general category of 'He doesn't display his corp info on his forum posts, ergo MUST be an alt, due to my infallable logic algorithms!' I post with my main and accept the consequences that brings.
It just so happens that since I am blessed with intelligence, and have been taking part in the lottery since i started playing, that to me at least, I fail to see the logic in people randomly screaming 'Shenanigans' over what, undoubtedly, is mere pocket change to BIG corp.
Thanks you for your flame however, it gets chilly around here at night.

I would like to let BIG know that some of us do relise that real life problems have an efect on our Game Lives. Myself, as I am sure the magority of your lottery costumers look at this as a rather minor thing. (we don't like it, but we understand it can't be helped) I know that when things get back to normal I will keep playing the lottery, and I suspect the majority of the others will do the same.

The key is : Never spend more ISK on tickets than you can afford to 'waste'.
If buying say 1000 tickets is a strain on your wallet - Then you have really bought too many tickets.
The wast majority of people buying tickets will never win, but a few will - Thats kinda the essense of any lottery.
A lottery is a (mild) form of 'entertainment' - and as with most kinds of entertainment it has a price - The price of the tickets.
Unlike most other kinds of entertainment however, a lottery might even 'make you rich' in the end - That fact is what gives a lottery its 'entertainment value' - The "Will it be me this time" suspense.
Not everyone finds the same things entertaining of course
So spend your ISK on what entertains *you* - But dont come down on others who have different preferences than yourself with regards to what they wish to spend their ISK on for a bit of entertainment (aka buying lottery tickets)
If you *only* buy tickets *expecting* to win - Then you have misunderstood something entirely.
The important part is : To have fun (doing whatever you are doing) BIG Lottery

I have 2,000 of the 45,000 tickets sold in the #48 drawing. This gives me the best chance I ever had at wining the lottery. But I still realise that it is 21.5 times more likly that it wont be me.
As Torn said, this is enterment, not a way to make ISk. For me the fun is thinking about what I would do if I win.
