I like CQ. I don't like the AURUM shop but hey, I don't have to buy anything from it. I like the tech that CQ will act as a gateway into. I like that this is getting rid of a bunch of old, whiny, bittervet players who feel they are superior to everyone and everything and clearly do not understand what a business does to make way for a fresh batch of new subscribers (5 of my friends say they will be checking out EVE and subbing once Incarna is further developed). I like CCP for what they're doing and look forward to many many more years of subbing.
To everyone else leaving and raging and thinking your little canceling fit and "demanding" CCP to abandon these changes when YOU ALL ragged on them in the first place to bring it out, don't even give me your stuff, please just leave.
To everyone else staying, here's to another 8 years of win.

Raging about AURUM makes no sense - are they mad because its there or mad because they can't afford it? No one makes them use it and it is a new feature, not something that was there before so they have no precedent for their rage, at all.
Love the new tech and the possibilities it brings

You fail at reading. We're ****ed because you can turn money into battleships and ammo, sidestepping the player economy. We're ****ed because you can buy special ammo, faction standings, and who the **** knows what else now.

You realize you are describing the majority of this community, right? The ones that carried the CCP banner for a very, very long time precisely because CCP realized this.
The new CCP never learned this, not until now.... buy hey, education is costly. How costly will be determined by how quickly the new CCP learns this.

I'm resubbing, but just to see where things are headed. The moment I see a MT that gives an in-game advantage, I'm out. And that's that.
Or they could just fire this guy:

I love CQ too. Though the microtransactions are stupid, but I can't wait until incarna is fully done with walking in stations and such, it'll be awesome.

And is that implemented now? No. Could it change and never happen so it's only aesthetics? Yes. If that's the reason you people are ****y, jumping to conclusions like this, then lol. Get out.

who paid the salaries of the devs and " experts " who wrought this? We all did.
What used up man hours and resources that could have gone to desperately needed fixes? This was part of it.
Does the vision of this implementation present a threat to the user base if allowed to grow into the monster we know it will? you bet your ass.

Just because you pay doesn't mean you're entitled to say where a company should and shouldn't go. There's more people to please then a few whiny bittervets who don't like the dev team catering to their every whim. Incarna is a huge step in the right direction. It's rough around the edges, sure. But this is the biggest step to making EVE the best all encompassing one world Sci-Fi game on the market.
Hell, they even said it was impossible to be looking at our ships IN THE FIRST PLACE while docked initially, and people *****ed and whined about it. Now, it's finally here, and you sods can't run it? Why should CCP assume you all have crap rigs when you're asking for all this? They answer your rage and this is what happens? Give me a break.
Incarna is good, it'll get better, and if you're not patient enough to see it through just get out, never come back. We don't need you here.
Here's looking to a new era and new subscriptions :)

Been playing since '04. Eve constantly gets better, in spite of the community.
Incarna will make Eve an even better game, everything else is the same it was three days ago - improving.
Lag has improved consistently over the last 3 years.
Truth is, the "bitter vets" are just worried about the game they love, so let them rant about stuff that doesn't exist like they have some sort of premonition about game development. They serve a purpose, I'm sure.
Bottom line, quitting is like suicide - people who actually do it don't talk about it, because they don't care anymore. --

2008-05-10 23:57:00 is my birth date. That was the day I discovered 'Walking in Stations', as Incarna was called then.
I've waited a long time for this expansion and so far, I like the direction it's going.
Not only will I not quit. I've added two more accts onto the four I currently have. I look forward to living the golden era of EVE becoming what it was always meant to be. A true future simulator integrating all the different aspects of lesser games into one cohesive, single universe.
Cheers CCP and I look forward to many more years being a part of your empire.

I watched 5 years of BS come to this, Ive seen the last few years detach from core elements of game play to push more empty and unfinished content than ever. Up till now I have been pretty damn patient and I quite enjoy eve having been with it since early beta. personally I could give a damn about getting out of my ship and wish more power to those that do.
But when all that time and all those resources come out as this badly coded tech demo with a MT system thrown in that has implications to completely destabilize this game you're gonna hear from me and many others like me. Get used to it.

The "not cancelling" vote will show in the server status charts. I doubt we will see much of a dip (unless those who have ended up on the wrong side of karma in certain territorial disputes commit mass suicide because their lives have lost all meaning). I would not go so far as to call myself "impressed" by Incarna, yet - but it is at least a first step.
As for the cash shop, it does seem odd people who raged about there being a cash shop at all now rage that almost no one will pay billions for drab miniskirts and steam punk schlock.

That's how I'm doing it. I'm fine with monocles that I'll never buy ingame, but if it gets to be ships/mods/implants on there I'm out. I can't heal stupid

There are things I don't like about this patch, like the lag and DCs I've experienced in Everyshore lowsec tonight that seem out of place. Also that peoples' pirate implants disappeared and how apparently damage mods stopped working properly for awhile. Also the terrible lighting in CQ which really should have been fixed long ago when it was still on Sisi. And I won't begrudge the players who spend most of their time in stations doing trades, since obviously the CQ lag makes that task far more tedious.
But as for the rest, like the lagginess of CQ as it relates to the average player and the ridiculous NEX prices... well, NEX is something I'd never use anyway, and CQ lagginess shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. First of all if you're a long-term Eve subscriber and you've never been to the Test Server when major new features are rolled out then isn't that the bigger problem than you're being surprised by something everyone else has known about for weeks or months before it hit TQ?
Anyway, for the most part the space game aspect of Eve is still functional at about 90% its normal level based on what I've been experiencing lately, and to be honest that's well within acceptable post-patch levels IMHO. The damage mod issue has apparently been fixed already, and I've heard that the pirate implants issue has been resolved for some people as well. If the space-game survives, Eve survives, no matter how bad the station game is.
fake edit: I have also just noticed that the text box on this forum isn't broken anymore. It used to stop scrolling down after a certain point even though I still had lots of characters available to type, and now it doesn't. I make POST

I pay by the year(*3), and make money doing nothing in this game. I have skills going around the clock. Every penny I put into my year with worth it. Sure there is some bugs, but that's the nature of software.
