I still dont like it that a single EW module can make such a big difference Wanna fly with me?

And didn't you know that Gallente are *supposed* to be EW "masters" with Caldari as ECCM "masters?" IIRC the whole midslot = EW win thing that exists now and will hopefully be remedied with the new system wasn't exactly the original plan, anyway.
but Scorp is useless without EW, nobody flies them execpt for EW Wanna fly with me?

i think these changes should be put in trashcan and leave as it is.
If this stuff goes to Trank, im specializing in beam insted of pulse (specially after the pulse nerf), humm, shooting Aurora beams at 150km with 5 heat sinks II in an apoc.

Originally by: Aneu Angellus I am really excited about this one.
My alt account is allready preparing for the new EW skills, he will be pure EW.
I dont like the multispec changes, but hey, its going to be interesting. Gankageddons are going to be a thing of the past when these changes come into effect. Battle skills are going to have to come into effect, and concidering IMP have one of the best EW units in the game (R-K) its gona be a blast for us.
Best EW units? It's hardly difficult is it.
You obviously havent been in large fleet engagements.
Same could be said for you, Mr. Best Fleet Commander who nobody has seen.
You'l be seeing me soon. ________________ Aneu Angellus Vengeance Of The Fallen - WolfPack Military Captain

Sorry, TomB, but it is time to make EW size-specific.
Frigates should need to use combined numbers to sensor/propulsion jam a BS because it is just silly that a frigates small sensor/propulsion strength can interfere with a battleships massive sesnor/propulsion strength.
Basically, it should take 4 frigate-sized EW modules to even have a chance to interfere/interrupt a BS propulsion/sensors and 2 to interrupt a cruisers.
Sorry but size specific propulsion jamming has got to be one of the worst ideas i have ever hear on these forums. It would totally kill the need for frigates/ceptors and combat will go back to the way it was a while ago where the only fleets you ever came across where purely battleships with maybe 1 or 2 guys in crusiers that could not fly BS.

The way the multi spectral ecm units are being described, it would sound like they would need to get nerfed individually in strength or removed from the game, forcing race specialized jamming setups to give a better chance for all ships to operate normally. Many smaller ships do not have much of an option in fitting setups due to limits on slots, either the ship will not be able to employ ecm/eccm effectivly or it will not be able to mount defensive modules like propulsion mods, repairers/boosters, and cap mods to sustain them. I wonder if amarr cruisers would be usable at all after this would go into play, due to how low their sensor strength is combined with the severe limits on mid slots. Or are the amarr expected in this situation to give up their low slot advantage over other races in exchange for similar sensor strength through low slot augmentation, thus reducing their total slot configurations in comparison to other races. This would be in addition to the nearly complete lack of drones in addtion to nearly the complete abscence of missile and missile defense.
The changes sound like they can add alot of variety to ship configurations in all races with one exception.

Edited by: JaiMaster on 20/02/2005 12:39:46 ppl will adapt to the (somewhat silly, a frig jamming a bs with 1 multispec? get bent) changes no doubt, though you wonder sometimes if CCP need to have the definition of KISS written in black texta on the top of their workk monitors...
god help us when the missile changes take away the last frig-killing bs weapon (buh-bye solo anything) ------- Skill points. ISK. Ships, rare equipment. Its all just a means to an end...
Your end.
