You failed to notice all the new innovative immersive qualities of the interface, that CCP is trying to push the menus into a virtual environment where you will interact like no other game currently has to offer.
I tried that, to be honest. Went about thirty minutes playing with the room after I got the WASD keys working (had to restart the client twice, no idea on what was the problem).
Then I realized it was more quick to press the button in the LEFT bar than walk towards objects. There is no new interface, only
shortcuts in a room. The interface is the exact same WINDOWS we had in the previous build, except for the agent finder, that is a new WINDOW that could have another shortcut on the LEFT bar.
Then I went to play and do the usual business (that in my case includes entering and exiting the stations frequently), few minutes later I noticed the burning laptop and opened the screen so it could dissipate better. A few more minutes and I was annoyed of seeing my character's back since I didn't move to do what I was doing, then I...

Maybe there is potential in Incarna, but that is ALL you can say about the expansion, nothing to do, nothing relevant in the stations, it is normal that people are upset about committing time to features that are so out of reach when you have nothing useful in the main free one.

The character creator alone is a work of genius but you are too DIM to see the bright ideas that CCP has put up and are unable to recognize the next incarnation in gaming.
So what? Not from this expansion and the characters from the last expansion look AWFUL in the room of this expansion. We are talking about this summer's expansion.

What CCP has done here in Incarna with the interface will be copied by future game developers, MARK MY WORD.
What interface? I hope they improve the interface later, but there's no new interface.
If you are talking about the 3D shortcuts, CCP has invented nothing, integrated UI is something that is happening already in some games way before Incarna, and I'm talking about full UIs, not silly shortcuts. To give an example, take a look at Dead Space.
I can cope with the "useless room" as a first step, but not when it's forced unto us against any logic; from gameplay it's absurd to get out of your pod every time you dock and from technical point is so painful when it stresses your comp so much because of low optimization. And certainly not when they dedicate their time to try to r4pe our wallets instead of getting the basics right in the first place.
