Sign here.
I for one would LOVE the ability to see which LP level an offer is at.I would like to see what level i could get faction ships, faction mods, etc.
It would be SO helpful to over 90% of the games population.

I like surprises. No to releasing the agent offer database. Much more fun not to know in my opinion --

Some people like to have all-knowledge some don't. If such information was released then you can choose to read it or not, so if you want it to be a surprise then hey don't read it .
There is a list of loyalty offers @ http://www.coreblack.com/agent_offers.php , that not accurate?
Anyway usually mmorpg developers/GMs try to keep such information away from official public boards, leaving players to find out for themselves (which I agree with , so you'd have to rely on players not CCP for something like that (which may not be 100% accuracte&up to date of course) I'd think ___________ ~Fredbob~

I like surprises too.So much that in fact,i think it would be a lovely idea if everyday we had a chance to suddely get our account deleted. What a lovely surprise dont you think?
That list of offers isnt remotely close to a list of all offers in the game.Im not even sure if its accurate for the ones it has actually.
Seriously, you dont want knowledge? You want a surprise? Why dont we randomize ship stats and make them invisible? That way you have no idea what stats your ship has.And im sure you will like the surprise of a rookie frig being able to tank a POS with the entire xetic/foundation/stain/etc alliances shooting it.Maybe you will be happy then?
I think it would be really, seriously, freaking hilarious if the devs decided on a whim to cave into the demands of those people who want "surprises","randomness" or "the challenge of fightning 10 gistii war domination generals in a level 1 mission,in a T1 frig, and the mission reward is the agent takes all the money in your wallet",and then they suddenly change their tune....i would laugh so damn hard.....
These forums are sadly filled with highly immature kiddies who think its funny to take up space in a thread with "OMGZ YOU DONT LIKE XXX CAN I HAVE YER STUFF PLZZZZ","USE BATTLESDHIP TO KILL LEVEL 1 FRIGS!!!" OR "OMGZ I LIKE BEING PUNCHED IN THE FACE I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD BE FORCED TO BE PUNCHED IN THE FACE TOO" rubbish.

Ahhh, Question2 - the reductio ad absurdam arguement, such a refreshing change for these forums. 'Random' agents offers are a good thing, there is knowledge out there if you ask, but most are happy with the system as it stands.
Extending this to the rest of the game is just silly, you must surely see that

Anyway, the offers change all the time, they're a work in progress, that's why the list on coreblack is not only incomplete, but also incorrect -- a lot of the offers have changed...
so even if a list were published, within a week it would be out of date...

You wanna explain to me not how not knowing what offers are at what LPs could be in anyway conducive to gameplay?
Imagine missing out on offers you really want...just because you are doing missions and didnt stop as you unknowingly went past the LP barrier......why would any normal person want this?

Not if it got updated, and i doubt offers change faster than patch tuesday every month.

Hey, yeah! How dare they not tell us what agents offer!? We PAY for this game! In fact, I want to know what rats will drop, too! I want to know what missions I'm going to get next! I want to know everything before it happens!
Too many people take this game too seriously, as if it were frigging real. You're playing A GAME. There is supposed to be an element of surprise, of excitement, and yes, of challenge. Deal, you're not getting the damn list. ---------------- Haha, stupid monkey! Now I'VE got the Oscar! Enjoy your worthless gun! |

Seems totally unnecessary to me. You KNOW that when you get greater than 500k LPs you might get a BS offer. Thats all you should NEED to know, in my opinion.
And if you think 90% of the games population would benefit from a list, I think you've probably never left Rens. ---

Players like ?2 are funny.
He comes up with an idea (I personally don't think it is a good one but somepeople may). He then ASKS people for their input.
Nobody flames him. Some people even explain WHY CCP will never release the stats and instead rely on players (simple answer if CCP releases the data it must be correct, if players release it then it is not CCP problem).
?2 response is to yell at everyone who disagrees with him and essentially act like the child he claims to despise.

What is pretty funny is how you conclude that people not agreeing with you do it not because they have a mind of their own but only to disagree with you.
Anyway, back on topic - I don't like the system as it is but I still don't want everything to be know in advance. Most or at least a lot of info is out threre and for me part of fun is finding it.
What I would like is that there should be a "shop" every agent has (the black market everyone was talking about before exodus) where items change and so you can't wait forever to take them but there should be at least 3-5 possibilities at any given time. But this has absolutely nothing to do with database being public so I'll stop now.

What? Are you just ******* stupid or aren't you listening!? Personally, I *do* want things harder! It's a GAME. I play it for the CHALLENGE. It isn't real life - if it was, of course I'd want things easier!

If CCP decides to release such a list fine, I don't really care . I'd like to know how the offers work now though, how it selects which offer you get and when you don't get offers etc. just very confusing that sometimes you get a lot of offers from certain agents then suddenly none and what not

[28]
Seeing as how pretty much all the "I disagree" posts were either a few word sentences of "I disagree" or "I want it harder" or "I want the surprise",i think im fairly justified in saying that you guys are doing it for the kicks.
So you want it harder. You dont want the knowledge of knowing what LP a offer needs.Thats fine. How about not reading the list then? Some people want to fly frigs all their life, thats fine, but the other options to fly intys, cruisers, etc are there for people want to do so.Some people want to make DOT graphs for weapons, compare them, and decide on which is superior and use that weapon, some dont. Some people want to PVP without having the foggiest idea of a ship's stats, some dont. Some people are masochistic and love getting beaten up,some arent.
Instead of throwing a tantrum and assuming that people who want to -know- how the game work want godmode or infinite ISK,perhaps you could -think- that some people might want to know how the game mechanics work.
It should probably be noted that the mods DO read these forums.I think a number of people would appreciate it if people wouldnt try their best to get this thread locked in any way possible. Its a good thing the forum mods are kinda relaxed.I know a ton of forums that would have your post totally GONE and a "Warning" PM sent the instance you insulted someone or hinted it.

I would like a more random factor in the misions make it near imposible to predict what's going to jump out at you, knowing what will be the next ship to target you will make it to easy, and just plain stupid to do misions. Should CCP release the DB I would most likely give up misioning because all the fun would be out of it.
Btw, your thoughts are not so dumb it's just unfortunate that you choose to share them with the rest of the world.

Ah ralitge prepare to receive a warning email from the mods soon. They do that pretty fast, considering the amount of posts they have to read.
And no,they cant do random missions.Sure,it WOULD be nice. And yes,it CAN be done...if CCP had the resources.Look at MXO....missions are instanced and randomized. But it probably would lag CCP's servers up too much or involve too much work at this point, and would involve them throwing away all the hard worked missions they have done since the beginnining of time.
