Right, i have read through a lot of this stuff....and although some of it is as requested "constructive" the rest of it makes me sick. I am a proud part of this community but right now im thinking to myself...HOLY CRAP!!! WHO STUCK THE COMBAT PROBE UP THESE GUYS F****IN' ASSES?!
what the hell guy? Pann comes on and openly admitted this was damage control, buying time for getting stuff sorted out. and here some of you are saying that its all "empty words" "lies" etc. some of you need to really take a step back and put down the axes people.
now ok, i have just not 10 minutes ago got round to this leaked email stuff. and yes, i am shocked. but the only reason i am is because i see the problem....The Plex - Aurum Ratio is a tad off...making the reflecting values in RL money and isk seem like a butt load. now, if im not mistaken, i read a dev blog recently saying that they will try it at one way...and then depending on the feedback, they would change it. SO LET THEM TRY IT!!! DAMN IT PEOPLE! its not as if its the be all and end all of the game. Things will get better, they always do in my experience with CCP.
moving on....so yeh, the communication thing. i thought it was all cos of e3 and stuff coming up, but after seeing the email thingy...i gotta say, even im not impressed. with the intro of aurum and MT....it was rather short notice dont you think? esspecially if you are thinking of putting some exclusivity to MT items. kinda shifts the balance of things and some of us need to budget accordingly. notice of it being solidly in the pipeline woulda been nice guys.
and finally from me....INCARNA DOES NOT SUCK!!! from a technical point of view its quite an acheivement, not just for an MMO, for a computer game full stop. TIP OF THE HAT TO CCP FOR A GREAT JOB! yeh ok, some people have had problems.
but for people who are going on about "too much systems resources being used" "doesnt run smoothly", i would like to know how that is CCP's fault?! GET A BETTER SET OF HARDWARE! i am running a PC that was immense.....6 years ago. 4 gig of ram, 8800 GTS nvidia card 512MB (the best in the series short of the GTX cos it too has 128 steam processors, none of the others did back then) an intel Q6600, and HDD's obviously. now i run this game at 1920x1080....FULL EVERYTHING!!!......including physics, AA, the lot! and its runs smooth as a new borns backside!!! no issues at all. im running windows 7 x64 ultimate. So, if you are having memory problems....buy more, not running ast enough for you?....trying upgrading. CCP go out of their way to make their tech run as fluently as they can for as many systems as possible. do you have ANY idea how hard that is to do? but as much as they dedicate there efforts to this....they also realise that they cant support everything....some hardware is just too old, and working for that stuff will stop them moving forward as fast as they want too...and if im not mistaken...we all love CCP for its lack of compromise on this epic game when it works flawlessly....dont we?
and for the absolute nay sayers who say incarna sucks cos its a test for WoD. you clearly are asses. i dont know how many places i have read in dev blogs that all the carbon tech is designed to be used in everything they do. Eve has been around much much MUCH longer than WoD has been in the pipeline for being made. so stop moaning. eve was first, so we get to use it first. its simple! now this just shows that you people are blind, and also is a shining example of how CCP can comunicate with its fans...you just choose whether you wanna read it ok?
now, to the devs.....as i said, incarna is an awesome feat...pat yourself on the back guys. granted, i had a problem not seeing my hair in the mirror on the first day lol but the patch sorted that lol :)i have been excited about this for a long time....i cant wait to see WiS when its fully loaded.
you got a life long fan here guys!
