CCP, it is your job as the makers of this game to justify to me why I should pay for it, not for me to justify that to myself. I'm sorry, but I just can't see why I should pay for a game whose developer is openly ignoring its playerbase. When the CSM themselves have turned on you demanding answers, and your only public response is to chastise the playerbase for hating the fact that you have lied to us whilst ignoring the actual issues at hand, I loose faith. When your CEO's idea of crisis management (let's face it, that's what you're doing now) is to send out internal mails praising yourselves for breaking that customer faith, I give up entirely.
I pay anually, and have 6 months left on my subscription for both accounts. I will consider reactivating my accounts ONLY once this storm has blown over, and then, only if I deem CCP's response to this affair to have been satisfactory. Given CCP's apparent policy of silent observation, I urge as many others as possible to take similar action.
Finally, check my forum history if you want. I don't come on here often, I'm not a troll or a constant whiner. I use these forums as a means for reaching out to CCP and the EVE community on the issues I truly care about. I'm not ragequitting, I have spent a good deal of time this morning looking at the mountains of available information and weighing up a rational response to it all. And I have decided that the only rational response I can make here is to cancel my subscription, and try to send a clear message to CCP via the only channel they have clearly stated they will be monitoring.
This is a sad time for EVE, I just hope to hell that CCP have enough sane people around to stop this petulant silence and fix this before there's nothing left to save.
