Lets not forget one of CCPs most recent trailers: "The Butterfly Effect"
With its resounding ending message that all actions have concequence.
If you decide to run with in game benefits for RL cash, there will be NO concequence for people's actions. Only a divide between those willing to chuck good money at a problem and those that aren't blind enough to do so. I personally am not angry at the company's decision to incorporate microtransations into the game, the introduction of Incarna or the lack of actual content for the last few patches.
Im angry because CCP has stopped caring about its playerbase.

Of course, what do you think the free Quafe Zero was a few weeks back, it was the drug dealer giving you your first hit of virtual crack.
After 3 years of playing eve and putting up with the utter crap the drugs industry has to endure (stealth orca nerf anyone?), THIS would be the final nail in the coffin for me.

I'd gladly pay Aurium for a Hybrid turret that actually worked.
Although if you want to make real money, why not sell a premium, 'lag free' client; you could make a mint off all those silly customer-type-people stuck in nullsec. Mind you, might eat into CCP's cut of the RL money its getting for ignoring RMT on the side.
At least it would explain why botting goes un-checked while the design team is hard at work reballencing those highly important T-shirts.

An important paragraph from glassdoor
"Several years now CCP has predicated insane subscriber goals that cannot be met. Naturally this is met with scepticism by the employees but it falls on deaf ears. The result is that the company is suffering because we cannot sustain the development of EVE, DUST and WOD. EVE is not creating enough revenue which means that solutions are sought, solutions that CCP was vehemently against a few years ago."
This completely explains WHY the company is SO desparate to bring in MT and impliment game changing mechanics through the 'pay to win' button. They've just made a greedy grab for as much money as they can to resolve the problems they're having sustaining such a high turnover of development. The problem is that they wont answer the question on everyone's mind because they KNOW the utter crapstorm it will bring and loose them further revenue.

The sad fact is that for me at least, I could *JUST* about stomach RMT injections in exchange for player-benefits...
IF we knew for 100% that the money gained would go BACK into EvE with regards to fixing all the broken 5hite thats been around for YEARS. If they turned around and had irrefeutible PROOF that the money was being re-invested I wouldn't be hovering on that button marked 'CANCEL ACCOUNT'.
However, imho its just going to evaporate into the ether to fuel production of Vampire Emo Barbies Online and other assorted crapola that nobody actually cares abot.
