Just out curiosity I started to keep track of the people that have stated to have either cancelled their account or are going to let it run out.
Ofcourse I'm aware of the fact some of these may be just boasting or multipoasting alts. Lacking access to CCP's client database and CCP lacking trustworthiness, this is the only way we, the players, will be able to get an estimate of the Incarnage.
If you've seen any posts by people that are not already on the list, or you are on the list while you shouldn't. Leave a post with a link in this thread, I'll come back, check and update it every few hours. And I'll keep updating the list for as long as there are new names to be added.
The list and the tally so far: 162
I just want to add that reading all these names, some of them very old or familiar, just makes me even more disappointed with this eyecandy-wrapped vendingmachine that goes for an expansion. CCP should be very ashamed of itself, but too few of them actually still play the EVE to actually care.

I've updated the list with some new names and the post now shows number of players and number of subs. I know there are plenty of people I've missed, so give me links people!

Originally by: Tahnil I just realised that I had 27 (not 12) accounts. So I reactivated three and cancelled some other 7, but my wife is back in the game again. Are you still keeping track?
If CCP ever starts a resubbing campaign, I bet you're on the top of their list. 27 accounts, holy crap! Just to be sure... how many did you cancel in total?
Originally by: Duran Sarn -4 Accounts.
-4 Accounts from a good friend. He sent following corpmail about this summing it all up:
Quote: I am quitting Eve.
Microtransactions + Subscriptions are strongly against my principle of forcing a MMO to pick one of the other.
Also, I have better things to do than to play Eve Online.
Like ****ty generic fantasy mmo/singleplayer games + work until Law School starts.
Eve is a great game that I have enjoyed my near 2.5 years playing. Broski is an awesome corp that I have enjoyed most of that time with.
I have already given all my **** away.
I leave Broski in a very good state. Times haven't been better IMO, but they may still get better: there's a titan to look forward to and the conclusion of whatever this fountain mess is.
So I will say goodbye, people who actually log on and contribute to the corp. I will continue to hang out in the IRC, but nowhere else.
o7
His name? I'd prefer it to put people on the list under an actual name.
I've updated the list: 128 people and 312 subs.
Thanks for the info people and tell everyone you know that's cancelling or not renewing to drop a line here so I can add them. The bigger hammer we can get the better. We need to smash the illusion of Incarna being a good business decision.

Damn...
Originally by: Khamelean Wow a whole 0.001% of the player base, what a mass exodus!!!
I doubt CCP will even see a bump in their regular lapse/re-subscribe cycles.
Familiar with the term 'tip of the iceberg'? The first day of NGE there weren't thousands of people quitting right on the spot, but the game is now as good as dead.
If CCP waits until they actually see a full 1% of the subs drop in just 2 days they'll be too late to turn the tide.
Also, a LOT of the people whose names I'm putting down are true bittervets. Players that have been around longer then 3-4 years form the pillars of EVE's economy and simply can't be replaced by just attracting new players: another lesson SWG has clearly taught.
Anyway... sheet updated: 179 people dropping a total of 421 accounts

Well the thread more then doubled overnight. I've updated the list up to post 420 so far. The rest will come in the next hour or so.
That self-righteous Hilmar is driving his company into the ground. Idiots like that only listen to one thing: unsubbing! Their precious PLEX is going to be absolutely worthless in a week. A single snowflake is nothing, but all combined it forms a avalanche that can crush a village.
Keep directing unsubbers to this thread. Say no to Incarna with your wallet. It's the only way CCP can be brought to attention. Perhaps if we cause them enough financial troubles, they'll have to cancel that stupid WoD they are funding of OUR MONEY!!!

Updated up to post 1050, we're past 1000 players now
How long before some of the alliances decide to move as a whole to some other game. They must understand CCP management doesn't care for their interests in 0.0, only their money.

I guess they deserve to be on the list. They're unsubbed like the rest, only they didn't have to find the 'unsubscribe' button
Don't know exactly how many accounts they are worth though.

Biomass or gtfo imo.
I don't see a problem with just taking a temporary break until CCP's management has gotten their heads out of their collective asses.
Don't forget: it costs players nothing to take a 6-month break, but CCP can risk bankruptcy if enough players are not paying for even one or two months.
At the very least it can kill the production of WoD and Dust, because those are massive leeches on CCP's budget right now.

yes
He raises a point. Why did you have 16 accounts? i can maybe see 3. But 16?
Also, Tobiaz, I noticed your name wasn't on the canceled account list.
I haven't had time yet to locate the unsubscribe button. Pressing it is going to leave an emotional scar.
Also I made a new alt account a month ago and paid a full year ahead,

Originally by: Half ****ed Jack Does nobody else see the irony in people who pay $ for extra accounts quitting over the possibility of being able to pay $ for in-game advantages. If you use alts to mine/build/research/haul/scout/etc., you are paying cash to get ahead and cutting out all those middle-men. How is that any different from doing the same with aurum? Aren't both equally ****ting in the sandbox? Please explain.
The difference is the 'new' CCP specifically catering to those who want to buy their way ahead.

Updated to post 1500. Even with an extreme margin of error, this is still way more accounts then CCP can afford to keep bleeding daily.
Even if many of these people intend to return at some point, CCP can't afford so many people taking a break.
...and this thread is growing with an increasing speed.

It is very amusing if you think this is accurate.
It's called 'margin of error'. It's very naive to think it'll be enough to invalidate the conclusion of these results.
Not everyone is that addicted to EVE that when they threaten to leave, they are really just saying "I'm joking, please CCP **** me over some more". But the fanboys won't understand and thus assume that everyone that says he's leaving is either lying or will be back in a few months.
And in the latter case it'll still hurt CCP if enough people do I since they are in a vulnerable position financially and with a lot of competitors around the corner. Perpetuum has probably sent some flowers to thank Hilmar for his stupidity.
Whatever... enough banter. I've updated to 1740, I'm tired, and I'm off to bed.

List updated. Sorry for the late update, but this is not very fun to do, for more reason then one. Also I wrestled a bit with the account management page but I couldn't get the unsub button to show for one of my accounts. It's almost as if CCP doesn't want me to leave
People are continuing to drop accounts, even with CCP Zulu's appeasing words. I guess it's "I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say" right back at you, Hilmar!

As seen from the articles on EN, it is cheaper to buy isk then buy plex from that than it is to simply buy plex/subscribe.
Besides, as a violation of the EULA, CCP was under a duty to remove those accounts as it was messing with gameplay.
just sayin
One more noob here. Where do ALL PLEX COME FROM FFS?
Many big RMT-botters don't use plex to pay for their botting-network. They use CC-scams, so CCP banning a lot of accounts they weren't getting any money from anyway.

Buy PLEX (with ISK), leave it in your hanger and dont biomass, hording plex CCP does not like, and is one of the purposes of MT
Also, don't give away stuff to beggers, make them spend RL money for PLEX, that annoys them too.
Also, petition Billing and Accounts to remove your CC details from Account Management.
I think everyone dumping existing PLEX on the market would be more damaging for CCP. Combined with the people dropping PLEXED accounts, it would crash the market making less people inclined to buy PLEX from CCP to trade for ISK (less ISK/$).
It would lure back the RMT shops who's ISK/$ conversion rate is currently only a small margin better then 400m ISK for 15$.
