I actually think CCP is bored with Eve and are just using it to fund development of their ridiculous console shooter and their Twilight mmo. They certainly are no longer interested in making Eve the best sci-fi game on the market.

Listening to EVE-radio and having read the mail;
Zulu nor Soundwave are to blame or should be "attacked" over what they've been stating lately. They simply have to talk the corporate talk, nothing more. It's truly disheartening and depressing and I do apologise to both of them for my words aimed at them, even though they were "mild".

1 - No Microtransactions
2 - No Incarna or it's an option
3 - Shader 2 back
4 - Stop the plex and GTC system (this is Microtransactions also), it was a trap.

I think this is real.
These sound like words of a pretty competent CEO and leader rallying his troops.
I respect him for that. It's respectable to stay on course, even through adversity and naysayers.
The ultimate judge of the success of their strategy will be their long term revenue (and profits).

They either need to wake everyone up and deal with this now, or post that everyone will be back to work on Monday to give a real response. I don't know if this email is real, but I do know we need proof one way or the other.

Guys calm down. This was a very standard corporate message sent to keep the troops in check. What is going on in the top boardrooms and what is being discussed is probably very different.
Also note that the version of the email posted here is missing the timestamp. It was sent late yesterday evening - therefore anything that came today supercedes it, and everything that comes tomorrow does so too.
Hilmar also stated very clearly that he would pay attention more to what the players DO (i.e. NOT buying monacles) as opposed to what players SAY (the number of trolling posts is uncountable).
Once things calm down a little more and CCP folks have enough of a chance to see the valid points being made behind the anger, I am sure they will address it.
Remember your anger is at the possibly bleak future that microtransactions would introduce where MT would ruin the game experience as opposed to just being purely vanity related. VANITY is what they have addressed, and so VANITY is what they know. Give CCP a chance to catch up :)
