Ok ill stop refering to super mario brothers and doom wolfenstein which I found far more expressive and entertaining in terms of avatars that showed character and were entertaining. If you want something "realistic", how about Call of Duty ? Those avatars move far more quickly... without lag etc, have decent interaces, have high definition enviorments etc.. or Battlefield bad company. I dont' particularly love the pc version...but i know some people do...but how is the little unresponsive guy locked in a room, moving slowly anywhere close to those titles or even earlier versions of those modern titles?

The patch notes and devbloggs released in advance did say we only got 1 room and nada to do the first time round. They are releasing Incarna in multiple patches, which makes sense, it's easier to debug this than a full on expansion. -K

And what's worse, CQ at the moment is so utterly useless and pointless, Incarna is going to require a whole lot more development resources so CCP can get people to use it and buy the virtual Sims-in-Space crap, helping finance their other games under development. And all at the expense of devoting resources to further developing the SPACESHIPS game we are supposedly paying our subscription money for. And it needs them badly: half-finished rushed-out expansions piling up, low-sec, ship balancing, T3 frigates, etc, etc, etc...

Zymurgist Incarna is a complete renovation, it's a renovation of code, it's the building platform from new technology for CCP to build and work on and what CCP did in this expansion pack was focus on the technical foundation to make EVE Online more efficient, future proof, scalable and capable of supporting new yet unmade technologies and thus advanced content that's coming. Incarna is a massive expansion pack and it's all under the hood. Technically by any account doing this where you cannot take something offline, rewrite the code from scratch using new technology/a different programming language is exceedingly difficult and often more expensive than reworking it from the beginning. The major technical challenge involved requires a lot of resources and then on top of it CCP has had Dust 514 in the works and once more it's going to be connected to the EVE Online Universe. Eve Online came out in 2003 and some of that 2003 technology is still in EVE I have no idea how much but I'd say it's a lot, Incarna is the major first step to remove obsolete technology and implement new technology. There's no handbook on how to do this, CCP is likely getting by on intellect and cofee.(probably lots of cofee) I don't think CCP would have even tried an attempt at this if not for the fans, the fans which they have just steam rolled imo.

The other 3 got canned for unknown reasons but video previews of them are still on the web. Also, they were all bigger and better then the current version amusingly enough.
