Greetings fellow capsuleers,
It has come to my attention that many of you are cancelling subscriptions over the recent microtransaction/Incarna events. Maybe you are coming back in a few months to check things out, maybe you are not.
Maybe you want a stable return rate on your cash and you're not quitting at all?
This is not a giant "can I have your stuff" post. I am offering a holding company designed to safely invest and increase your funds so that you have a higher stockpile of money should you choose to return.
I offer a rate of return of 4% per month, I am very confident that I can use your isk to make more than that, profiting for myself and for yourself. My methodology is market trading.
I will offer to keep your account open for as long or short as you like, with immediate withdraw of all or total funds available to you at any time. Your account fund amount will be available upon request and you can watch your isk grow while you don't pay your subscription if you wish.
To get in b4 I have never done this before, it is true this is my first attempt at any serious investment. I have played eve for several years and have tried to learn the market, however only recently have I been active and making nice returns. You don't have to be quitting to take advantage of this offer either!
So don't let your cancelled subscription sit idle! I can make use of it and everyone wins.

Your business model lacks one fundamental ingredient.
Trust.
Whats to stop you from running off with the money? How can we trust you? Why are you posting with an alt?

This is not an alt. My other character that I use for PVP and junk is Redloc.
The reason you can trust me is I have nothing to lose if I honestly invest this money. I've never bought or sold any characters and I intend to continue being a trustworthy person in the EvE universe.
Yes, you may find a forum post where I had a dispute with a corp member almost a year ago, he was my RL friend and we had a falling out. Just want to throw that out there before someone digs it up. But it has nothing to do with 'scamming' people, which I will never do.
Thank you for your good luck wishes! I only need sound thinking and some solid investors however

I will hold your isk/assets charging only a 10% holding fee per year.
In the worst-case scenario I might charge 1 plex a month from all combined customers together as additional expense. Characters can be parked in my personal corp with 0% tax rate.

Edited by: Omniwing on 27/06/2011 15:15:54 Okay, haha, lets tear apart the guy because of his word choice. What I mean by that is I will make a good profit just investing this money and giving it back, I have no reason to scam and I want to begin an honest business within EvE. The people who make the most money are those that people trust, and you have to start somewhere.
I am sorry that I can not provide some type of guarantee, but I give you my word that this is not a scam. "Your word is all you're going on here?" Yes. I realize many of you think I'm lying but I am not.
This is a legitimate business and a legitimate investment opportunity.
The poster above is CHARGING you money to hold your assets...obviously a joke. You will *build* your assets with me which will be available to you in a greater amount should you choose to come back.

Yeah cause trusted MD members have never scammed here before... Oh wait...
The trusted people here have already had/have a successful business/service running and have proven up to a certain amount that they can be trusted.
Why would you scam? Because you have nothing to lose. Even if you got 1b isk out of this, you still got isk and lost nothing. If you want to start a business maybe you should try something that doesn't involve people giving all their isk to a person who has very little significant posting history on the forums.

Well I am open to suggestions on how to make this more trustworthy, or provide at least some kind of a guarantee.
I have to start somewhere - why not invest 50m, wait 2 months and then come get it back?
In any case, I am interested in making this *work*. Again, if there are some steps I can take to make this more comfortable for people, I will investigate those.
Thank you for reading.

Maybe you could give a bit more details on what you do consider to be a "safe investment"?!? ("holding company designed to safely invest") |

I'll offer a 2% ROI, since I have at LEAST double the rep of OP.
Pending approval from current investors to pay them back with the funds I reap from such an offer, of course.

Well at least it isn't the worst.
I realize some of you are attacking me because you think I am a scammer. I can understand your rage. This is not a scam.
How do I safely invest. I have two main things I do, PI(not extraction, but conversation of materials) this is done over a long period of time, with products stored up from good buy orders and then refined and sold when the price point is right. Secondly, I buy and resell items in a few different regions, mostly mission loot and ammo, obviously at a good margin. I have got the hang of making long term investments come to fruition and I understand how I can effectively use more cash.
There aren't any "marks", I am not going to steal anything from anyone.

How can you guarantee "price points to be right" or "good buy orders" to be fulfilled or not to suffer loss during transports?
There is no such thing as safe investment, advertising an investment like this as such is a dishonest act, therefore you are fail. |

@Previous
Uh, actually, its really east to make returns as long as you don't expect them to be absolutely insane, but even a numbskull can figure out how to buy and sell stuff pretty easily... if your argument against me is "trading is so hard, you'll never be able to get 5% + of your investment back each month" then sorry, YOU are the failure, because that is pretty easy to do. There are such things as safe investments. If you take something like cruise missiles and they've been selling for around 170 isk for the past 12 months, and you buy at 45isk and sell at 169, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO LOSE YOUR INVESTMENT. The worst thing that can happen is you don't buy your 45 isk missiles, but don't worry, someone always sells. Basically, last post is a troll. This is not dishonest.
Now if you add in spreadsheets, and all of the market tools available, yes, it gets even easier!
Also you mentioned transport, I rarely transport items, and if I did, I know how to do it correctly which makes your chances of losing your shipment near zip. But that point isn't really important.
This is not freaking dishonest guys, I am legitimately trying to start a legitimate business here, won't someone give me a chance?

This reads like a terrible "Can I haz your stuff" attempt.
What happens to the stuff of the people who aren't coming back?
Also, if they are not planning to come back what advantage does 4% more money in a game they no longer play confer them, even if we assumed you to be legit (which we dont).

Please don't speak for other people. As you are not them.
If someone doesn't come back, then their money continues to grow while I hold onto it, for an indefinite amount of time. I will not assume any investment is 'given up' or 'forfeited' unless someone specifically contacted me and said "I'm never coming back, you can HAVE this isk", but otherwise, no, it will just be a chunk of money that I use to invest, and even if they came back after 5 years, they would get it plus a ton more back.

What if you heard that eve was 3 days from closing? Would you buy the biggest ship you could and blow it up or take the investors' money into places beyond?

So you are saying that no matter the amount of isk you got, and for how long, you would be able to make 4% on in a month without fail?
What happens if you quit, get sick, make a bad call, etc?
I assume this is compound interest, yes?
What is your personal fortune, and what proof do you have of it? Someone so talented must surely have trollions of isk by now.

I am not going to quit or get sick and die. What happens if any of these people on MD get sick and die? Making a bad call isn't really applicable as you can pretty much buy safe...If an item were to crash in price, there are tons of others I am also buying at good prices.
Yes, the interest is compound, and yes, I believe I can keep it up. I think I'd have to reach a rather large sum before maintaining that would be impossible.
