They're on the same side. The csm are just a group of PR cronies who care more about attention and free vacations than they do about player issues. |

Edited by: Hirana Yoshida on 29/06/2011 10:50:09 There is nothing to "hold-the-line" about, NeX was and is vanity only .. the whole thing has been a display of the dangers of word of mouth information sharing and failure to understand the concept of "context".
Quote: 8) The Mattani leads the CSM in a fawrt rampage the likes no one ever seen, not even the volcano's ash compares.
Will definitely happen, but I think the pub-crawl is customary for the CSMs whenever they visit Iceland so shouldn't really be on this list |

This meeting could spell the end of the CSM.
CCP pride themselves on having the CSM, as far as I am aware there is no other MMO which has this.
Now I feel I can safely say that the majority of people don't care about the CSM and just consider them as being a bunch of free loaders, a CCP PR Exercise, hold no power and only care about things which effect them personally
I say this as what, only 14% of the the player base actually voted in the last election and most of them were alliance members (i.e goons) voting for their members.
Now if after this meeting CSM accomplish nothing and CCP ignore the CSM's concerns and opinions then they are effectively saying that the CSM are what many people already consider them to be.. pointless.
This would well and truly kill the CSM once and for all as I do not it recovering.
-----
I would just like to say that I hope that the CSM can have an effect and prove many people wrong :)

I.E. clothes, eve pieces, hats, pool tables, slot machines,ETC. go to town on it. If it's used ingame, it should be produced ingame. And should be provided for the sub's. No extra payment's
All CCP needs is something to show the banks in the way of extra income, to refinance there loan.
Base your bets on that

I am praying. . . .on my knees with all my heart:
The CSM's grow balls and brass overies, jump over the table and tackle these ass hats as their opening move.
A full out WWF or WWE whatever starts.
At least then the tone would be set and CCP would start to realize this is far worse than their ego calculated.
Then I awake out of my dream and bet one eye thingy thing that CCP blows sunshine up the CSM's ass and continues on with ruining the game.

Edited by: jackaloped on 29/06/2011 13:25:44 CSM versus CCP your kidding right?
CSM has been neutral or on CCP's side this whole time. Mittani said the incarna expansion was a great one. He claims it's just bad communication on ccp's part that is the problem. Read his ten ton hammer article.
Originally by: Val'Dore It's a PR stunt to buy time. The CSM being there means absolutely nothing... except that CCP is willing to spend all the money the monocles have made them on PR.
that
CCP will likely say they will only sell vanity items in nex. But they will have planned to make this concession before the meeting. They will claim it's due to the csm twisting their arm but it was the forum outrage that twisted their arm. CSM had nothing to do with that.

option 1 with out a doubt. have no faith in a powerless board. and they might through some t2 BP there way to shut them up
people have to realize its more then just the RMT, its the lack of any real eve updates for 2 years becuase there working on products eve comunity could really care less about it.
fix what you have add t3 ships, oh wait thats what the rmt are going to be for in the future.

Edited by: Plague Black on 29/06/2011 13:32:41 CSM is a joke. Only person to ever have balls in CSM, Vuk Lau, resigned due to announced changes and the fact that CCP never listens to CSM and uses them as aliby towards public instead of a group that represents players (and much more then just that). Everyone shat on him but now that everything is public you have a riot. So he was right and everyone that shat on Vuk can eat their own shait. However memory of EVE players is short so this is all forgotten. No worries I have a brain that, unlike most EVE players, I use so I'm here to remind you whenever you chose to forget a bad thing you did.
So does the public have any right to riot right now after not taking CSM seriuosly? Even some CSM people never took their role seriously, most are just clowns on a free ride to Iceland. Like Mittens who is all about self promotion and nothing about EVE. Is there a right to riot? No. There is a right to vote with your feet and cancel sub. If you want CCP to get a message just stop paying for 6 months. If you keep playing (and paying) then you STFU take it up your... bank account.
Bottom line: CCP has chosen their path and CSM is a waste of time. CCP is not up to the task of handling this game (as proven over years now) but it is their game and they have legal (only valid one) right to do whetever they want.
Can we stop with all the commie "CSM will save the day" caca de torro? They will have some rotten sharks and will inhale some of volcanic ash or a few days and after that Mittens will issue a self-praising "I am God but even I have limited power" statement of "epic CSM struggle"...
For those who missed the memo "pay to win" is in EVE since ages now, it was introduced through plexes. Whole this riot is same as if people of Germany would riot against Fnhrer in 1945 while Ruskies are advancing towards Berlin. Too late!

One look at the most recent Akita T thread should tell you more than enough.
The forum spin is building up to convince people that non-vanity MT is supposedly a good thing, despite being told that this was not planned. I believe that if this inch is given, now, at this point in time then the future of Eve, and the increasing MT down the line will be a certainty.
Yet again, when there's unrest in the ranks, we get another thread encouraging the sheeple to "take ownership" of what CCP intend all along.
GIVE IDEAS for NON-vanity, NON-advantage items and services for AUR ! (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1540461)
I'm not one to start throwing "ccp alt" accusations around, but it's getting difficult not to notice a pattern repeating here.

Guys there is no fight. CSM and CCP are on the same team.
1)CCP will give some concessions. (probably say no non vanity items in nex)
2)CSM will use this to claim how effective they are.
3)CCP will use this to claim they listen to CSM.
And players who are idiots won't understand that CCP had to make these concessions in order to have their official eve forums discuss something other than how bad they suck and how many people are quitting. CCP doesn't want this to happen again so they will claim it didn't work but that is what worked if anything. CSM in iceland is just a show.
The development of the spaceship part of eve has basically been abandoned by ccp. Only 22 of 124 eve devs work on it. That 124 doesn't even include all the ccp devs working on completely different games.
Now CCP is indicating that they are not just going to leave it in storage but actually try to make it worse. As for me I'm not interested in just hearing they won't intentionally screw the game up. I want to hear they are actually going to start working on the broken parts of it.

You forgot: (9): The meeting never happens. Instead, CCP throws an epic coke orgy. While still in a euphoric haze, CSM announces that CCP "will take their concerns under consideration" but notes no information can be made public due to the NDA. Laughing behind the backs of the CSM, CCP moves forward with their plans to monetize every item and mechanic in the game.

CSM will spend 2 days telling CCP whats good for the game. CCP then gives CSM the middle finger. CSM unsubscribe and go play Perpetuum. The End.

or maybe CSM got monocled in Iceland.
They come back and tells us "oh now we understand CCP, no non-vanity item until 2012, the items to come are so shiny and gorgeous- we have seen them....ah and you can't switch the closet off due to technical reasons [some crazy code stuff] but we can' tell you more - NDA you know,...and so on
