Customers are funding the servers, your staff and your two other side projects.
They expect a fair and smooth running gaming experience, Gm's and support.
If customers want it, they'll have it. They pay you to provide a service CCP, don't forget your place.
You can't beta test your below subpar engine in eve online without at least giving people another option. Now get your **** together your an embarrassment to the development community. Your work ethic is appalling.

Simple, they had better bring the hanger view back or I am history. Why? Because they have not one farking reason not to bring it back.

Actually that's not true at all. The most obvious reason being that it promotes vanity item sales for character customisation.

When did ship spinning go from being an insult to being a must have game mechanic?
Must have missed that one.

Why is it exactly that people want to sit alone in their hangars and spin their ships?
a) Afraid to undock? Everybody out there is evil and just after YOU.
b) For visual stimulation? You know... internet spaceship p**n.
c) Just to complain about something? Hard to find something else...
It's not like you wouldn't undock when your ship isn't spinning right or if there weren't other ways to look at it from all sides (like in space).

First you whine for AMBULATION, WALKING IN STATION, and now you got it? What you do? Whine that you don't want it!
Or do you have slight problems with your BOTNET?

Who said anything about doing it for long? I'm pretty sure if you've played this game for more than a few minutes you'll have spent some time in station waiting for the fleet to depart/waiting out your aggression flag/etc, and the old station interface is better because:
1) It looks better than the picture of a door we get to look at because most of us hate CQ and turned it off the moment we logged in post-Incarna.
2) It took away the easy way of getting to your cargo/drone bays (double click the background for cargo, right-click the ship picture for drones/etc). Now you have to open the ships window and right-click your ship icon there.
3) It took away the easy way of seeing what ship you're currently flying, so now you have to open the ships window to make sure you aren't about to undock in the wrong ship.
But mostly we're mad that CCP removed a feature and replaced it with something LESS convenient, just to force us to beta-test the engine for their new MMO. There was no reason, other than pure short-sighted greed, to make CQ mandatory instead of just having a "leave pod" button in the old hangar. -----------

ok so even if they want to promote vanity (and possibly non-vanity item in future) items why not give us a reason to use it.. also they could make the ship click able to bring up the spinning hanger view...
for now the fitting screen works for that

What really bothers me about it, it is that before incarna 1.0, when you went to a station and docked, you where supposed (or it was assumed) that you were still at the helm of your ship.
Your ship's controls and options, and the hangar options were readily accessible, by double-clicking or direct menu selection.
This is no longer the case, now when I dock, the only thing I have on my screen is a picture of the closed CQ's exit door, very claustrophobic. -------------------------------------------

You could just use the hologram. It updates to your currently selected ship and lets you use cargo, drones, fitting.
Oh wait, you disabled CQ, so you only see the door. Never mind then.

Well, you do see your active ship easily and clearly. What is just so-so ist the ship's options - although that is one-click, you first have to go near it...

Given the international nature of the game and the cultural differences I'd like to point out something that I haven't yet seen realized by anyone and that not everyone will get. CCP took away our ability to ship spin and instead basically told us to sit and spin. Sit and spin being a sort of an insult. It works as follows:
1) Raise right hand in a fist 2) Raise middle finger 3) Tell your target to sit and spin

Exactly. Why would I run a hardware-melting memory-eating waste of time when I have this much more appealing door to look at? And of course even with CQ enabled the hologram doesn't solve everything, since you have to be standing in a location where it is visible, and preferably large enough to be obvious without spending as much effort looking for it as it would take to open the ships window. -----------

I'm a pod pilot. I dont want to have to keep decanting myself from my pod just to access things I used to be able to do from inside my pod, do you know how painful the plumbing connections are to remove never mind insert?
Vanity items have zero interest for me. A pod pilots vanity is, or should be, his ship, his engines and his weapons. All else is fluff, and i'm not a fluffer.
CCP Devs are hard workers and dedicated to THIER game, unfortunately it seems that THIER game and the one I THOUGHT I was playing are becoming two totally different beasts. I mourn for the game that was, and have decreasing interest in the game that it is turning in to.
I've been playing since December 2003 and have enjoyed this game greatly, BUT the day I can buy ammo and ships or standings increases with aurum is the day I mulch my character (don't even bother asking for my stuff, I'm taking it to the grave with me) and delete eve from my system. |

It's not about ship spinning per se. Stop trying to make fun of people who just want to spin ships in docks. That's not what they want. That's not what I want.
What we had: A simple interface that got us into our hangers and allowed us to do what we needed to do to get back out of dock. I.E. Configure ship, load unload stuff from cargo, get missions etc.
What we have: Except for the advertised as temporary static door we are given a captains quarters. A graphically heavy, slower to load environment that is less efficient and takes more clicks and time to get everything you wanted done. As far as playing the game, it's a step backwards.
The motivation is clear, CCP wants opportunity for a cash grab and they believe if an opt-out is available too many people would use it. Too many people would not be looking at the barbie dolls and salivating at the tight set of slacks in the closet. To me, this shows that CCP doesn't even have confidence in their WIS strategy and realize that too many people wouldn't want to play that game. Rather than re-think their approach with something that might actually make the game better to play, more desirable, they went with forcing everyone to use it. It's a failure of imagination and a motion of greed over interest.
When I say, "I want my spinning ship" I'm saying I want the more efficient system that best allows me to play my spaceship game.

if this is true, then CCP are truly idiots. I would use stronger words. When you take the whole game out of the equation and look at the simple customer experience, it's shocking. yobo |

This two point can easily be solved. Just open up the ship window one time, and never close it again. This window let you access your ships easily with right-click, AND it highlights that one, which is active, AND it pops up whenever you dock a station thus it's not visible while being in space.
It's just "an other way".

relax, i'd say wait until WiS becomes what was promised so you can walk amongst others, and perhaps you won't look back to shipspinning in stations. there is much room to improve for the station UI, and i am confident that shiphangar and other stuff will soon be as easy to access as before.
shipspinning will be missed but soon forgotten, cumbersome hangar access on the other hand is a pain in the ass.

and you came to this conclusion using yer head? This statement is very lulz tbh ... their services to you is a fact that they graciously let you play EVE, nothing more or less, you aint payin for ingame content nor for the way EVE was/is/will be going in the past/present/future, but for time you spend in this god damn game, so get your **** straight. If you want ship spinning back come with some better reason than this bull****. You are not in possition to demand anything unless you are owner of 50%+ CCP company .. simple logic Just saying
