I'm playing it just fine with two year old hardware that cost under 400 at the time. Probably a lot less now. So, yeah...$1000 is a bit much of an assumption. That said, I love old games. I still play Total annihilation regularly.

Not really. That game reminds me of something still in Alpha stage. Graphics = / = good game, but that combined with the UI, it borders on being unplayable.
