Edited by: Erik Finnegan on 02/07/2011 01:32:35 I think you can say over and over again that the fact the CSM is bound by an NDA does not mean that they are not representing player opinion right. The are the NGO towards CCP. CCP cannot talk to players, so they are obviously happy to invite the CSM. Flying the CSM to Iceland on short notice is really not for fun.
CCP is influenced by players through the CSM. It will not be CSMs fault if CCP does not agree with every single player's opinion at the same time. |

Edited by: Soden Rah on 02/07/2011 01:34:43 ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
CQ upgrades for AUR is totally absolutely wrong!!!
It's selling immersion for real cash. its unacceptable!!!
I will not stay if that happens...
I HAVE cancelled, I gave them a reason why. I am not re subbing unless they get this right.
Please CSM members realise that for RP players 'vanity' items are important for immersion and if they are to be AUR items that breaks immersion which removes the point...
Please talk about this this is not NDA stuff...
EDIT:
NO NO NO
I won't spend real money on vanity items which means I lose immersion... So I can't play!
Also any MT breaks the player market!!! Are ANY CSM members Role Players??
can you please address this!!! --------

You say the soft voice doesn't get heard...
Those of us who were giving test server feedback were yelling at ccp. are you saying CCP is incapable of responding to those giving test server feedback?
I mean this is something I said to ccp shortly before release...
linky "EDIT: oh and I am obliged to say.... Going into Hanger view on docking instead of CQ still not available... When we get to patch day, and you still haven't fixed this, The mac client still doesn't work, and half your customers get borked every time they dock, the forums explode in a flame war, and you have to roll-back before finally installing the option to load CQ...
DON'T say we didn't warn you..."
Unfortunately it wasn't enough people for CCP to care, as they are used to ignoring good constructive feedback and then when people yell they still ignore it. Perfect examples the CC and the 'new' forums people tested them and yelled about the shortcomings CCP didn't care.
Only when a mass uprising swells up do they look at it and think 'oh we better deal with this' not 'oh maybe what they are saying is valid' or 'we should consider their thoughts' just 'we need to deal with this' read 'spin'/damage control.
So unless there is a fundamental change in CCP after this, doubtful, we'll continue to see CCP's SOP; push out crap ignoring testing feedback/bugs/etc or just work on them after releasing an inferior product/feature. Some things will get fixed but the rest of the issues are 'working as intended'. That or many more people will have to test and rage on a continuing basis for CCP's poor QA/development process.

Voting with your wallet is not the end of the world..you can always resub after the point was made. If a bunch of players do it..they will react.
This is the only way to vote.

Could you please indicate what specific questions can't be answered due to nda that would be helpful. I guess my question couldn't.

We already have P2W, it's called PLEX. How 'bout we draw the line there?

Edited by: tika te on 02/07/2011 01:37:15 question: why do i have to pay for a game feature (lets say paint job) with real money after paying the monthly sub. fee? isn't that doublebilling?

What about convenience or functionality (such as extra fitting slots), or other things that don't directly affect the market or combat, but that most people would feel should be included in their base subscription already?

Why do you keep insisting it was an issue of 'misunderstanding' when the communication with CCP in the last 2 weeks has been clearer than it's been in the last 2.5 years (how long I've been playing)?

QUESTION: How about a PvE advantage for aurum that would do something like bump up a destroyed faction standing to a low negative number so the player can start building standing with them or access their hi sec space again?
Would that be acceptable to the panel?

The obvious answer would be to move clothes off the market and into player rent-able station "gaps". Wee. \o/

Does CSM is 'doing the best that we can do' mean the same as 'best that we can do with a hangover'?
Do you really think the goal is to 'keep EVE going on'?

For the press conference: I think it's important, if they DO rule out direct MTs for non-vanity transactions, to get an absolute guarantee that non-vanity products will never be attached on somehow indirectly to MTs, i.e. it's critical to ensure their answer is not given with any potential future loopholes to begin to ease all of this understandable anger and distrust in the community.

Have you guys read the vanity fair article about people from iceland?
Is it true that walking down the street in Reyk is like a mosh pit?
Are there any other observations in the article you found illuminating?
