Hi there,
I am posting to pitch an offering at 3.5% for 16B. It will be fully collateralised.
This will be a slightly unorthodox bond. I am using the 16B to purchase BPO's. I will not at any time handle the ISK or BPO's. I am using Chribba as a 3rd party to purchase and lockdown the BPO's in a new corp, which i will not have any shares in. At no time will I be a CEO or Director of this corp. I will manufacture from the lockdowned BPO's.
Minimum investment is 500m
Bond will begin on the 20/07/11 (15 days from now)
Bond will run for 2 months at 3.5% interest/month.
Interest will be paid out every 30 days.
Interest unfortunately will not be compounding
This is my first offering in this forum, although i do frequently read on MD, mostly for the LOLS. Essentially, this is as risk free as it gets. I don't handle either ISK or BPO's. Materials/Minerals for construction will be purchased using my own Isk.
IMPORTANT: All ISK is to be sent to Chribba, BUT not until he confirms on this post he knows he's doing it!
Regards Tia

Which Bpo's will you/chribba buy? Will they be researched? or require research? Which security status is your BPO's being held? (High sec?) What is your NAV?
please link a character showing you have Both; a) Required skills to manufacture perfect. b) Required Skills to acquire minerals/materials with decent trade skills.
Lastly welcome to MD. ___ iCandy Bonds

I would prefer not to say which BPO's on forums. Call it paranoia, but i don't like competition! High-sec for BPO's NAV is currently 5-6B Tia Skills No trade skills to speak of, i have an alt who has accountancy to 3 who i use as a jita buyer.
Thanks for the welcome :)

ok I assume you will be buying researched BPO's
Reason i asked about the BPOs is majority of T1 production, this time of year in particular is garbage profits. Not to mention the idiots selling at a loss.
My fear is that whilst your able to produce the goods 'perfect', you will be selling them using less than perfect broker fees. Trust me, these somewhat tedious things matter, and will erode any margins you have on your goods. (Suggestion: You can avoid this by selling in bulk using the trade mailing lists.) Bear in mind, you have to come up with 3.5% interest on 16b to top it all off.
Suggest you make a thorough spreadsheet to include all costs, will you be using a highsec station (fees) or POS (Fuel per slot)to produce?
Lastly, what happens to the BPO's at the end of the bond? will they have to be sold for investors to cash out as your NAV is smaller than the Bond?
Best of luck, & thanks for the answers. ___ iCandy Bonds

Very valid points, thankyou for bringing them up.
Agreed, t1 production is fairly awful at the moment, although in fairness it's never really been 'good'. However, i can name a few items off the top of my head which i know will make at least 10% profit and are t1 items. It's all about research, research research!
At an efficiency rate of 80% (fairly low, this accounts for time not using production slots) my estimated net profit is in the region of 2-2.5b monthly. Hauling costs, trading, mineral price fluctuations can all affect this of course, but not more than a few % in either direction.
I am already a frequent member on the bulk trading list, and you may of noticed some mails i put up. Unless i am misinformed, i can't manufacture using POS structures while BPO's are locked down in an office? Perhaps i am wrong on this. If i am, i would definitely go for a POS, isk/hour is so much more important than isk/item.
With regards to the BPO's at the end of the bond, this will depend on my rl situation. I am actually planning to go to Nepal to do some voluntary work out their, but dates still need to be confirmed. There is a chance it will fall through, so in that case i will offer investors the opportunity if they wish to extend to bond. If i do go to Nepal, all BPO's will be liquidated. Any deficit in BPO sales will be made up by myself. Off to bed now, will look at posts in the morning. Thankyou all for the interest!
Kind regards Tia
Edit - Did some research, turns out you CAN leave BPO's in corp hangar and manufacture from POS. I will be looking at this closely, and it is more than likely i will be setting up a POS to manufacture.

Hi there guys.
Unfortunately Chribba will not be able to secure this, as he does not have a spare alt to become a CEO. I am currently looking for another trusted 3rd party.
In hindsight, i probably should of sorted the 3rd party out before making the post, but hindsights a wonderful thing...
I will endeavour to keep you updated as soon as i have new information. The bond is still very much open, and by my reckoning there is 1B left.
Kind regards and apologies. Tia

Edited by: Atima on 07/07/2011 09:02:30 I would be willing to do this but it's a little to high and you would find investors much more easily if you choose someone else.
I would urge you to contact Kazuo Ishiguro ingame - He has done this specifically within MD years and has one of the better reputations for it.
If not Kazuo try VV if he isn't ragequitting anymore.

Update:
RAW23 has agreed to act as the CEO for lockdown of the BPO's. I need all investors to post that they are happy with this arrangement.
Also, March Rabbit, The bond was upto 15B when you posted, but i would be very happy to take a 1B investment for you?
Kind regards Tia

Tia - before we finalise things I'll need a list of the prints that will be purchased so that I can inform the investors what the total NPC value will be in order for them to be able to judge to what extent the bond will be collateralised.
In the event of a default I will put the prints up for sale at market value for two weeks. Any that are not sold by this point will be dropped to NPC price for a firesale unless two thirds of the investors vote to carry on with a slow sale approach for a maximum of two more weeks (voting to be weighted on a 1 isk / 1 vote basis). Any prints still remaining after the second two week period be be sold at NPC.

Edited by: Tia Anthar on 07/07/2011 13:15:15 You have mail RAW.
Regarding the collateral value, i estimated the BPO prices conservatively, so there will likely be some ISK leftover from the purchases. I will pay the interest on the full 16B, regardless of whether ISK is leftover or not.
Bringing the bond start date forward. Still need to talk to RAW, but i think the 10th would be a good date. This is for the purchase of the BPO's, which will need to be done a week or two in advance of production beginning.

Just to clarify this, in the event of their being isk left over from the purchases, as looks likely, do you want me to just hold on to the excess cash as collateral or will you use it to pick up some extra prints? |

Yes, that seems about right RAW. However, research will add a fair amount to that. I will have a look if it is worth buying more BPO's, but i have looked at the ratios of BPO's needed to produce, and any more would probably throw this out.
You can just hold the full 16B as collateral, any leftovers included, i will pay interest on the full 16B. |
