*The familiar face of New EdenÆs favourite anarchist turns towards the camera-drone and itÆs immediately apparent that grave matters are foremost in her mind. Eyes hard and lips pursed; her gaze direct and challenging.*
ôWe are told the revolution is dead.ö
*Jade turns to profile then, looking out over the orbital dockyards of Ostingele VII as the terminator brings midnight across the jungles of the world below*
ôBut what is the revolution that it can live or die? Is it the ships we fly or the guns we send our comrades of the baseline movements across New Eden? Is it the victories we seek or the pride in our accomplishments? Is it the thrill of the chase or the lamentations of our foes? No, I do not think it is any of these things.ö
*She reaches out and points across the structures built in geostationary orbit around the world the Intaki settlers called Kapda in their own language*
ôThere! And There! You see the star-points gleaming; those are ships leaving the gravity well with a cargo of vishaal/kakeeda silk that the colonists of Indradhanush city sell at profit to the star cluster. They call this world ôthe great tapestryö and I consider it is well named because looking to this industry on the verge of the atmosphere I see the threads binding the civilization below to the aspirations of all humanity in the bright universe above. I think these people hear the same music of revolution I perceive and rush to embrace it in their own ways.ö
*In the foreground now the camera-drone shows anarchist crews carrying kit-bags and equipment in-bound from Fraction vessels at the star-docks, young men and women, Intaki, Gallente, Matari, Caldari, Khanid and Amarrian, bright dreams reflected in their laughter and eyes frequently draw to the void beyond the atmosphere shields and Jade watches for a time with the viewer with hard-eyes turned thoughtful now*
ôThey say the revolution is dead each time we lose a comrade to ennui. That we have lost our way because another falls to the destructive addiction of piracy on the frontier, or the thrill of easy murder, or the lure of violence to fill the greater void within. That our movement falters because we have not devolved go become the thing we fight. That we fail because we care too much.
And in truth, the revolution is constantly dying; people do lose hope û even immortals. If one stands and imagines the weight of animosity across the myriad hierarchies and darkling jealousy of tyrants it is easy to despair and lose hope.
I lost my first comrade to these things eight years ago. The movement lost its first officers months later. Some were brought to despair at the task ahead of us, some were seduced by the urge to kill and destroy; some were driven mad by the whispering of imperialist memetics below the level of consciousness and took their starships to the deep frontier never to return.
And we died the first time in Venal in the wreckage of a Freespace Dream. We died the next time in Domain with faith-broken and dreams in ashes. We died again in Lonetrek with the revolution strapped on the wheel and crippled with indecision. We died (gloriously) in the Great Northern War and dragged the Phoenix Alliance with us to the flames. But we rose to die again thereafter in Delve, in Curse, in the distant Rogue Drone regions, in the Throne Worlds in the tatters of our alliance.
*Jade now looks full into the camera with the hint of tears in her eyes remembering these times and places and the multitude gone to memory, to legend, or to sadness and solitary exile beyond mention or recall*

ôWe died again in Mito though people mistook our passing for something else. We died in Placid there long ago, though our ailments were misdiagnosed and we crawled back to our feet to die again in war against the slavers in Domain and their bound creatures. Some began to doubt then if we could actually stay dead. But in the months that followed we resolved to try our hardest to suicide as our greatest victory was eclipsed by self-harm and division. We tried to end it all in the furnace of Providence and hurled a multitude of bombers against the largest capital fleet weÆd ever seen but somehow our clones reactivated and the defeat meant even less than our own mortality.
I wondered then if perhaps the revolution was not about us and our lives and ships and our individual striving but about something bigger that we merely heard in our souls like some snatch of half-remembered music to summon a childhood dream.
But perhaps we simply needed a bigger target.
The revolution died again in Tama in a brutal summerÆs fighting against HethÆs legionaries that had the representatives of the Caldari State calling us bullies for employing a Freespace Titan against an Empire. We were unsatisfied at the mortal wounds the State Protectorate offered so we tried to destroy ourselves again in the Ihakana Gulag and died a little bit at least.
Surely the 24th Crusade could help. We hurled ourselves into a conflict against an Empire and fought like madmen seeking silence of the grave. We died a hundred times and more, we sacrificed our fleets and our courage and we made a legend of our annihilation and choked our slayers with the unpalatable essence of our death.
We died again in Providence. We built ourselves a pyre this time and set the flames around. The revolution pinned and vulnerable and betrayed within and without by traitors and venal politicians, by friends and foes alike and we crouched waiting for a death blow that did nothing but shock us back to life.
Perhaps it was the region to blame; we sought our death in other places. We matched our numbers against mighty alliances and small betrayers. We staked all and kept breathing our painful rebirth after each destruction and still somewhere I could hear the music at the edge of my senses that teased me with the knowledge of revolution just beyond the next stargate (or the next).
People burn out faster than the stars our immortality will one-day see fade. They lose heart, they lose their faith in others; they lose their hope and dreams. But the revolution well, it dies and is reborn like phoenix from the ashes. It is a revolution for the young or the dead.
So we came back to Placid, to this system blessed with the jewel-world Kapda and its beautiful silks and tried with all our hearts to die again. We plunged into battle with pirates and brigands and enclosurist scum at each turn and paid heavy price. Why did we fight? Because somebody has to. Because in the clarity of battle and the moment of defeat we understand exactly what is at stake.
So our fighters woke and we roused ourselves to victory even in death and some were reborn again. While others avoided that death and embraced a lesser existence but who are we to judge or condemn when we stand alone and absolute with our moments in the void?
So the revolution is dead again. We have fresh martyrs to the cause; comrades departed, hard words and harsh partings. Disagreements and politics, scandals and clashes, past-defeated foes lauding the scent of blood and hounds baying for petty morsels stripped from the bone. Very little changes.

*Jade watches the starscape beyond the planetary shadow now puts a forefinger to her temple blinking damp eyes clear and breathing deeply with fresh resolution before turning back to the camera and speaking with more urgent tempo*
Yes, the revolution is dead. Truth is it dies every night when we go to sleep. But we are not the revolution, and in the morning it is born again. When we leave, when we fail, when we fall it is we who have died a little not the revolution that has fallen short for us. If we strain our hearing and stand in silence we can still hear that song.
I regret each comrade who leaves the cause, I weep for most, I make my eulogies and memorials and I like anyone spend my time in self-doubt and question and anger and then final acceptance of the reality of human nature. We cannot be all things to all men.
But ultimately we have only ourselves to decide whether this death will be the final one or we will wake again renewed and rise up to continue the struggle.
I am a fighter, I am a revolutionary and I hear the music of freedom. I have been wounded many times and killed more times than I can recall, but like the revolution it will take more than the actions of my enemies to keep me in the grave.
I will fight tyranny while I have ships and resources and comrades to join at my side. I will fight oppression while I have a gun in my hands and hope in my heart. I will fight hierarchy with just the knife in my belt to drive into its dark heart. I will fight to my last naked with my fists and teeth and desire to be free. I will never say die and I will never surrender.
And nor should you.
The Fraction has come to Placid and won our first battles against the enemies of freedom and we now mourn our casualties. We have placed ourselves in the furnace and harms way. We have a long way to go and before we are finished and we will doubtless die again and again with our principles and idealism intact.
The Revolution is dead. Long live the Revolution.

Calm and resolute faith. Woman to your knees and to your rank! To your knees with love and adoration; to your rank in steadfast bravery which no foe can cause to quail. Fine words Jade.
I've only ever seen a few groups do what SF pioneered. Guerilla warfare is often hampered by beaurocrats and red tape. The small taking on the mighty is always admirable, no matter what the agenda.
I'll always admire SF's skills, even as I stand against their ideals (I'd make a great Empress...) I guess it's a good thing that corporations I've flown in epitomize these tactics.
Have heart, Fraction. I believe guerilla warfare against the great alliances won't be hampered for long. Concord is weak and the individual Pod-pilot is strong. Our small numbers will always conquor the hulking lazy giants.
Fly free (for now hehe)!

There is no need to consider the life of a pauper to be a freespacer. But there are certainly times that comforts may be sacrificed to fight the cause of freedom. If I have *almost* convinced you then it is clear I need to try just a *little* harder.

Inspiring yet misguided. Embrace the faith and you will be set free.
Be as bold as your revolution claims it is and fight not for personal freedom of the individual or their petty rights. Fight for the freedom of the soul and purity of the faith and then truly you will be immortal and then truly you will understand the concept of being free.
The things you claim to fight are the same ones that tempt all our souls. You can be freed of burdens, acquisitions, pride, personal accomplishments, avarice, and so on. Believe in the one true God and He can grant you all you seek and more. See that the true enemy you fight is Sin and know the scriptures give you a path to walk in the light of God and stear clear of the temptations of Sin in all of its forms. - Hilmar getur ekki tala= vi= ¦ig n·na, hann er a= fara ß japanska Tfskuverslun.

Never give up your dreams. You'll never be alone.
They are beautiful words and in the dark of our souls sometimes we forget that beauty is often reason enough to strive and pursue our revolutions and confront the terrible depravity and venal mediocrities of tyranny in all things. We wake again after death for many reasons but purest of all can be a lover's touch or lips brushing 'gainst our own and breath shared to bring us back from the edge of annihilation to sing again the heart's anthems of anarchist adoration in the heresy of joy.
I once said I'd set the sky aflame to see the light reflected in my lover's eyes. I still would.
By this note you may understand I am still alive.

It is a funny joke but one might say your favoured tyranny is a similar beleagured boat on a similar sea ...
Far from land and short on supplies one man stands up and announces "I come from a good family and should be the captain and order the rest of you." Another stands up confronting and says "no I am the richest and I should be captain." A brawny man at the back rises with his fists balled and snarls "to hell with you both I could beat you black and blue if I chose I am captain!" In the end these three elect themselves the triumvirate government and spend the remainder of the trip lashing rats and cockroaches around the deck with whips and boathooks and complaining that the poor vermin are unable to man the oar-sweeps or hoist the mainsail before falling to a bloody civil war over the last water rations in the burning sun as they die of thirst.
It is easy to make jokes on clichT Codo Yagari. Much harder to achieve one's dreams without becoming the tyrants we oppose.
I believe it would benefit you greatly to learn a little more about actual anarchist-philosophy and put aside the nationalist propaganda playbook by approaching these matters with an open mind.

The sea you float upon must be in must be awfully lonely with only one boat. The sea I'm familiar with has many boats. Enough boats for everyone. In this case, if one man wants to sink his own boat, what right do we have to stop him?

If the revolution is truely dead, then the idea of the Freespace Captain is a failed one - judged by the ultimate authority, time.
That said, only a fool would right off the Star Fraction. I am not a supporter of your organization, I do not agree with many of your actions or your politics. I consider you terrorists and criminals and have killed your members and have been killed by your members - but I know your history and I can respect your organization as one that has overcome adversity.

At risk of spoiling the joke by highlighting it, I suspect the monarchist sentimentality explicit in the title - and implicit in a premise that "the revolution, it's me" - represents an intentional (rather than serendipitous) irony.
How many are in on the prank, I wonder?
