I wanted to take a break from eve for a year or two.
I need to know if my account will be deleted after a certain time period or if CCP preserve accounts with characters just in case the owner comes back.?
I remmber being away for over 6 months back in 2004, and on my return CCP put me in a dark room with a light in my face and asked me lots of questions before giving me access to my account, all my toons were still there just as i had left them.
I'd appreciate any links to info or CSM responses on this. Thank you Kindly.
I've had a great time and a great adventure, and I look forward to the future when I return. Eve is a great game and I've always believed it's the people that make the game what it is. Thank you CCP for a great experience.
I'd also like to say thanks to Roosterton, thank you for helping make my experience a great adventure, Its been fun and will catch up with you soon.
Also special thanks to Spec & Volt, Tank, Pei, spothead, Last Rites (if you reading), Drac, Doylooki, cat O Ninetails, Ticlet,

By the time you come back the MT plague will be in EVE's veins for real so you might just as well biomass your characters..

I made it roughly 10-11mths when I had to quit for divorce crap
I even still had my 'research corp' and it had isks in it's wallet after auto paying rent

I remember a buddy of mine renewing an account which hadn't been subbed since 2005 about a month before Incarna, and his toons were still there.

While we reserve the right to do so, we have never deleted/removed an account or character because the player wasn't active anymore. Personally I do not expect this to change.

CCP Shadow also said that there were no plans for microtransactions whatsoever.........

As someone who this month reactivated an account last used in 2003 I can confirm that it was not deleted although as you say there were a few questions, probings, etc.

The biggest tool in eve is taking a break, you surly wont be missed at all AARON!!!!
I'll let leadfarmer know im sure he'll cry at the fact we cant abuse you in system any more.

Not exactly the same problem but I noticed the option to take a break from a subbed account is no longer around.
Am I correct in this or have i just missed it?
Was handy option to have, if its gone its a shame.

If I cancel my account *playing EVE now for 1 month* do I get a refund of the last 2? (payed for 3 months).
Because of these crashes and problems I want to quit playing this game and go back to something else.

Please stick with us. Its bad enough veterans are leaving this game  . You'll love it once you looked beyond the non-playable content.
