Edited by: Shereza on 22/07/2011 07:06:56 T2 frigates with bonuses to ECM Burst strength, range, ship velocity, signature radius, signature radius penalty of MWDs, and/or ECM/burst cycle time. No more than 4 bonuses per ship of course. It just seems like it'd be interesting to see ships that are dedicated to getting in close and jamming the hell out of fleets that are too tightly packed together. The Gallente variant could get the MWD signature radius bonus while the Minmatar variant could get the straight up radius bonus. Something like that to provide for racial variation.
Another thing I'd like to see are light carriers. Ships that can carry up to 5 fighters in their drone bay and, perhaps, a specialized bay to hold another 10-15 fighters. They'd be usable as a force multiplier but their primary role would be to ferry fighters and/or bombers for resupplying.
It'd be interesting to see some super dreadnoughts too. I know, it'd be a tad cliche, but let's get something with 2-3 more weapon hardpoints and a 40-50% across the board increase in HP values.
Let's also throw some even more anti-frigate/fighter/drone-dedicated destroyers into the mix. T2 ships that can mount an AoE webber. Standard bonuses ought to be 5% or 10%/level range bonus to it and a survival bonus such as resistances, HP, or signature radius. Tack on the original destroyer tracking role bonus and RoF role penalty and add in a couple more bonuses for weapons (sig. radius reduction for guided missiles, damage for hybrids, etc.) and come up with a ship that's as much of a glass cannon as regular destroyers but with a real use.
I suppose that for s**** and giggles we could add in some combat-capable mining craft. I don't think it ought to be something with strip miners, though that would be interesting. Instead something around the BC size range with 7-8 high slots, a minimum of 5 turret hardpoints, the generic tanking/survival bonuses, and a mining yield bonus. The idea isn't to make a super-miner, merely one that can hold its own at least as well as an exhumer in terms of defense while packing a bit more offense. It would also make an interesting use, or abuse depending on your point of view, for the tier 2 BC models.
