For a while now, a few of our members have been having a discussion on 'Brevity Codes' for voice comms in a fleet - things like "Align", "Primary" and "Jump on Contact", but we have been wondering what standards, if any, other corporations and alliances in EVE use.
While we have quite a few alumni all over (hi everyone!) we run a bit of a risk of a closed sample set, so in the interest of teaching the newbies something directly relevant, and building skills and experience they are likely to use in the future, I'm asking the question...
What fleet commands do you use?
The common ones that we in E-UNI use are:
- Plus/Minus One - Frigate or other small/fast ship travelling one system ahead or behind the fleet.
- Align X - Should be obvious.
- Best speed to X - Travel on your own to destination.
- Check Check - Order from someone to clear fleet comms.
- Defensive Modules Hot - Turn on most tank if you have it (non rep/boosters).
- Hold Cloak - When through a gate, do not move and wait.
- Hold on Contact - Hold on a gate when reached.
- Jump, Jump, Jump - Order to jump through gate you are at or on transit to.
- Jump on Contact - Jump as soon as you hit the gate.
- Offensive/Defensive Camp - Camp close to the gate (to jump through quickly) or far out at optimal.
- Primary - Hopefully everyone knows this.
- Reapproach Gate - Get to within activation distance of a gate.
- Scatter - Disengage and warp to a random celestial or safespot in-system.
- Warp to X - This should be obvious, also.
- Warp to X at Optimal - Warp to the subject at your optimal weapon range
If you can, please post what you use in your corp alliance - the idea is to use the most common set of commands where we can, but it would also be good to include some other variations for reference so our members know what to expect when they move on.
Thanks,

Pretty much the same in the RvB fleets, except:
- Instead of "Best speed to X" we use "Haul ass to X"
- Rather than "Check Check" for clearing comms, we use "Break Break"
- And instead of "Scatter" we tend to use "Bail and warp". Repeated for clarification, obviously.
It's all the same basic idea though.

You forgot
- Dock up - Return to the closest station and wait for further orders. We are war decced and will not engage the enemy
- Buy a Rifter - They are obviously the best frigate in EVE so make sure you always fly one. It's the only argument I need Shawn.
- Burn away - They're killing our rifters. We cannot win. Overload your MWD, break point range and get out of there son.

Maybe not used too much in your fleets but, Siege green. And Siege red. For capital fleet entering and leaving siege mode at the same time to avoid pilots getting stuck in siege when everyone else has left the field :p
Also very obvious meaning but I never saw "Burn" As in "Burn 50 from gate"
Good intiative. As always Uni moves with the times and stays relavent.

"Bail" instead of scatter.
"Burn to X" instead of Best speed to X.
"Hold on gate" instead of "hold on contact"
"Blinky Red" for setting a module active but auto-repeat off (seige/triage/ECM/alpha fleets/etc)
"Modules hot"/"Points hot" - Activate your modules and prepare to auto-fire on next thing you target.
"X is kingpin" - For RR fleets, everybody with reps or wanting reps, approach X to get into range of each other.
"Drones to X" - assign your drones to X

- "Crash the gate." - Burn back to gate while holding your skirt up and screaming.
- "...eyes on/in XXX." - Move a (cloaking) alt to a location. Most often used with "Get me eyes on XXX." "Do we have eyes in XXX?" and "If we'd had eyes in XXX we wouldn't have died."
- Pulse - activate a module for one complete cycle.
- Shut up DurrHurrDurr - self explanatory

Most of teh ones BrIcK SqUaD. uses are covered so far, well done. One that is missing however, that we use a lot, is: LUBE UP. When the FC says LUBE UP that means we are going to get into a fight, which in turn means we could be getting ****ed, and the lube makes it not hurt as much

Can you make a list of pilots who need to be told this so everyone can make sure not to recruit them in the future?

Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb. Do not bomb - This means don't launch a bomb (example usage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfrlYz-QTdA )
Also: Red/Green - can apply to other mods too like "Bubbles red" for HICs to turn off bubble, "Triage green" etc.. It's not common but some FCs say "Gates green to xyz" to mean burn to xyz Bounce spot - used as a warp-to point usually to avoid warping into a bubble. As in.. Scout: "The out-gate is drag-bubbled" FC: "One ceptor make us a bounce-spot above that gate" Out-gate - The gate you intend to leave the system via, for current travel destination In-gate - Gate you intend to enter a system via Drag-bubble - A warp-disruption bubble that it's line with the warp direction to an object (eg. gate/station), either infront or behind it but usually not actually on it
Tbh I would say almost everything mentioned in this thread is dead obvious at least for anyone with a basic understanding of EVE, even if they've never heard the commands before. Which is how it's intented to be of course _
