For many years the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Slaves (SPCS) has fostered innovation, compassion and dedication to the cause of slave humane treatment in the Amarr Empire. Now the SPCS is pleased to announce the planned opening of our greatest achievement. A new Port Facility where slaves will be processed into service to Amarr and likewise may eventually be processed to freedom!
The new port facility will be located in Amarr 0.5 space next door to 0.4 or below low-sec space. Several jumps from the Minmatar Republic the new Port Facility will serve as a respite stop for slaves and slave traders enroute to the Amarr Empire from other parts in the universe. By allowing this respite facility the SPCS will provide slaves a place to revitalize themselves following their long journey and likewise allow a means by which slave owners can have their slave livestock medically inspected, genetically inspected and emotionally inspected. If needed treatments for medical, genetic and psychological issues can be provided at the Port Facility specialty clinics.
The Port Facility will also feature training rooms where slaves can be dropped off by slave traders, trained for several weeks to SPCS standards of improvement then shipped directly to their new homes in Amarr by SPCS certified transport craft. Now slave traders no longer need to travel the full round trip to Amarr rather the SPCS will take half that journey for them. This will result in a great time savings to the average slave trader and thus allow them more time to obtain and transport slaves. The benefits are immeasurable! With the SPCS taking on this vital role in the slave trade market we will increase the number of SPCS certified slaves exponentially. No more will uncertified slaves, tired from the long journey to Amarr, cramped in stuffy cargo holds, no more will they suffer. Instead upon arriving in Amarrian space these slaves will be trained, cleaned, medically certified and educated. Likewise the SPCS is providing full religious introduction to these slaves and will provide free of charge to the slave copies of the holy scriptures and other religious educational material.
But this isn't all...
The new Port Facilities also will serve as a port of departure for freed slaves leaving the Amarr Empire. The SPCS will arrange transit back to Minmatar space for freed slaves. Likewise the SPCS will transport the freed slaves family if they are also free without charge to the previous owner of the former slave. Before departure from the SPCS Port Facility these freed slaves will be given medical checkups, provided with medicines if needed, given religious instruction and be provided with new clothing and tools with which to work upon their arrival in Minmatar space.
As part of the new Port Facility planning we are announcing a naming competition. In the past we have had Port Sanctuary, Port Redemption, Port Salvation, now this new port needs a name. To the individual who provides a name approved by the SPCS Director the SPCS will pay $100m isk and an Amarr Navy Omen both of which were generously donated by an Amarrian industrialist.
The SPCS serves Amarr and God and thus serves the downtrodden and unfortunate slaves of our empire. Providing for them is our mission and we must not fail. Please help the SPCS and ensure the legacy of our mission by providing below Port _________ name proposals for our new facility.
Thank you and God bless you all.

The first thing that popped into my head was... Port Staid.
staid - 1.of settled or sedate character; not flighty or capricious. 2.fixed, settled, or permanent.
In addition to its implication in terms of a training regimen, the name could be a source of good humor for those who are in fact just passing through.

Edited by: N''maro Makari on 23/07/2011 11:39:11 While I welcome this move as bold and in the right direction, my stance is and will continue to be for the release of all slaves within the life of the current generation.
I also remind the SPCS that a few armour plates do not make a supercapital starship. There is still a world of change that remains to be implemented.
Port Clarity would be my suggestion.

Lord Murkon,
I suggest Port Serendipity, because in both cases slaves will experience chances in a very happy and beneficial way!

If, as I understand it, taking slaves from outside the Empire is now illegal how is providing assistance to slavers bringing people in from outisde the Empire legal?
Much as I abhor the underlying philosophy of enlightenment through servitude I was under the impression that the SPCS held itself to be part of the Imperial mainstream, rather than some fringe extremist group willing to break the law to achieve their goals. Regards,
