I think it is unfair to write him off simply because he is an intern.

No, no, no. They have been interned, imprisoned, detained. CCP Sreegs is sitting in his chair with two guns to his head. One is the gun on the anti-bot brigade telling him to do something about the bots and to get around to finally writing the blog post they said would be out in May. The other gun is the accounting department making sure that his anti-bot efforts don't harm the bottomed line.
