lol the sniper rule wasnt activated as i was the last person to bid before the time of the auction ended, the time of the 760m bid was 20:06 after the auction had ended

hmm.. The last person to bid was Kernal Tramadol for 760 MIL.. Which means if you are correct.. he has won!! However.. I bidded within the 15 minute sniper rule.. Hughesy.. you difinitely have lost..
I guess we will leave this up to the seller? I bump it up to 775 MIL.. I thought the sniper rule was 15 minutes of bidding allowed after auction ends?

nah its usually if someone bids before 8pm say 750pm the auction would then end at 8:05pm well thats how i understand it, anyway we can leave it up to the seller.

I thought that if i bid higher within the 15 minute sniper rule was over.. i would win.. This is why I waited...... This is unfair.. I should be declared the winner.. But i guess if the sniper rule means that.. then hughesy would win for a less amount.. This sux big time.. I guess ill wait to see what the auctioneer decides..

Yeah i dont wanna second guess the seller, or enter into a debate on how the sniper works.
i just think if its your way worlds then the sniper shouldnt apply and just have the auction end time as 8:15 but as i say i dunno how the seller views it

Hughesy definitely won according to the rules. The sniper only comes into play if someone bids on the item with less time left on the auction then the sniper is set for. And it is extended the length of the sniper from when that last bid was posted...and so on until the length of the sniper has passed since the last bid.
Example:
Sniper of 15 min...Auction ends at 20:00
Someone bids at 19:52
Auction is extended 15 minutes beyond last bid: 20:07
Since the last bid before the end of the auction was long before 15 minutes prior to the auction ending, Hughesy is clearly the winner. Now, if only the seller will give it to him

wow.. I logged into eve and noticed that the amplifier was actually escrowed under my name.. i have purchased the item from selenne.. Hughesy.. per rules you won the auction, but the seller i guess had a different way of looking @ the sniper rule.. you should have won this auction.. I would relinquish the item, but unfortunately i really need it.. I will however look to you in the future first if i choose to sell it.. Sorry to all about this.. I did not expect to see it escrowed under my name.. Thx

its not your fault worlds and i do not begrudge the item to you in the slightest, its a nice item and i am pleased it was real auction for your benefit,
However to selenne i will say that i wouldnt tarnish my reputation or name for the extra meesely 45m isk that the item was sold at. Its a shame when people conduct their auctions in a bad way
I always try to be fair in my auctions and will continue to do so, its a shame when you get a bad apple in the fruitbowl. i now consider my point made and will not deal with such an idiot again.

Just to clarify stuff Worlds, the reason your bid was invalid is simply because Kernal Tramadol's bid was invalid.
Had it been valid, sniper rule would have applied to you.
And to the seller, in your next auction please include a clause about reserving the right to ignore the Auctioning rules and doing what you like with the item.
