Simple words. It is a game. He used that CNR as it was damn well intended to do. Personally, I get my excitement from flying overly expensive modules on my ships as well, and id damn well fly a CNR around if I had one. I dont care about its overall isk value, its a damned game. You are meant to have fun. Respect guy, you used that thing as you were supposed to and didnt leave it as a friggen hanger ornament.

You seem to have missed the bestower that was hauling his huge set of Balls around behind him.
Its a freaking game, and major respect to him for risking such an expensive ship. Better than it collecting dust in some empire miners hanger dont ya think.

That's one of the things about EVE. If you aren't careful you can truthfully lose something you worked a long time to acquire. That keeps most people from risking something invaluable...
Props to someone who invested the time to gain something invaluable and then prove that it can blow up like any other ship. Well done. 
Wish I could have seen the thing in space, would have been fun to watch it fight to see what sort of damage it could dish out and take. Care to comment on how well it performed as opposed to a "regular" Raven?

Rawthorm was entirely philosophical about this loss in TS. I've been more upset when Ive lost normal apocs. Full props to him for doing something literally noone else would dare.
Zelota, since you, your corp and your alliance had NOTHING to do with this event, its sad that you felt the need to spam about it.
I think a cursory inspection of the killboards say all they need to say about quite how well YOUR group are doing :).

There you go into battle with a ship that is worth 8 bil, and 10% more effective than when using market stuff. When you would have used a ship with gear thats 2% more effective you could have bought 10x 2% more effective ships, bw...aaaahahahaaa.

i know its probably not near it, but tbh most of atuk have made money fighting fa. the amount of recharger 2's and tech 2 guns they drop is amazing.
the shinra guy had balls using that raven i just hope that after getting these modules you maybe use the isk to buy some ships and come play again.

Shame about your ship, it took a long time to aquire but it was always going o be the primary target each time you logged on, it was your choice to fly it and respect for that.

Well done guys I know how hard you guys worked to get that CNR, I am sorry that you do not seem to be getting the deserved respect here on the forums but do not let that bother you it was still a good kill and expertly done.
To everyone else
I cannot go into operational details about how FA got the CNR but will say it took skill, patience and and extraordiary amount of imagination in coming up with some clever tactics. And I hope that even FA's enemies can appreciate the way they got this kill.. I am sure that Rawthorne did not slowboat up to a gate just asking to be ganked and the hunt was as tough as he could make it. Maybe you had to be there to appreciate just how FA apply there way of fighting, I have to admit it takes more imagination that our normal camp a gate or jump into a camped system (a la) the rest of us [:roll:
So respect to Rawthorne and to FA you both deserve it for different reasons

It was in combat for a couple of weeks, and despite the fact it won't of killed as many ships as its actual value, it was involved in a fair few fleet battles. As a loss it really has not hurt our corporation much, as it was purchased from his personal mountain of isk. Hopefully it will inspire FA to fight a bit more. Anyway props Raw ballsie fighting in that ship, its quite ironic how many ALTS have flamed him on the boards as a result of the loss.

This is what surprises me about BoB corps flying so closely with Shinra.
Shinra repeatedly give their enemies easy kills because they are not as well skilled as BoB corps. I guess thats why BoB dont let Shinra use their killboard
Looking at BoB killboard shows they absolutely spanked FA this weekend and looking at FA kills they never managed to kill hardly any BoB ships but did kill a lot of Shinra as usual.
Props for taking into 0.0 though

Agreed.
Having a ship like that and not using it in combat is offensive. Unless you intend it for usage in some events and actually make work of that factions ships should be in combat, not hangars.
