Looking at BoB killboard shows they absolutely spanked FA this weekend and looking at FA kills they never managed to kill hardly any BoB ships but did kill a lot of Shinra as usual.
Props for taking into 0.0 though
The simple fact that you're discussing someones ability to fight in this game and wearing the tags of 'CFS Navy' is in itself a contradiction.

Im sure we can all look back on this and laugh our arses off when elite battleships come out, but for now, just some of us will be laughing, and the rest... well, the rest will be giving respect because they arent allowed to laugh.

hmmm,
kawa from votf summed it up very well. I'm sure it wasn't your normal kill and i think the pilot deserves respect for flying into the game; As most bob has said( i think they have a good grasp on the game itself) It's a game.. no matter the cost or time. The guy could meet a model bioch tomorrow and stop playing eve..or becoem a dwarf on WOW what has he lost at the end of the day? Nothing.
So all around props to FA for getting the kill i hope something good dropped from the ship:).. and well i'm suprised that raven made it through some of them star gates with the balls hanging that low...

Any comments on how the raven itself faired in combat.. that was one well wicked set up..not to mention the ship.:)

Cudos to Rawthorn for using the ship for what it was intended. It is a testament that FA felt it would need so many ships to neutralize it.

First off, great respect to Raw for taken that awesome ship into a fearsome battlezone, let alone fitting it as a killing machine instead of as a running machine. And that leads me to my next point. Isn't it tragic and symptomatic that all the alts/FA guys/XETIC guys are laughing and taunting him, when you consider that if they ever got their hands on a ship like that, they would only mine/npc in it in 0.5 systems and above. But then again, its the same pilots that fits +4 wcs's on their battleships when they enter combat and even got wcs's on their frigates  . Go figure

I can't believe the gall of some people to call him an idiot for using it, I mean, holy crap, it would have been a sin not to use it. CCP put these awesome ships in the game and people think that they should never be used because empire miners would pay billions for them, whats the fun of having all that isk in your wallet and all these ships rotting in hangers?

Yeah exactly its a game, if ya got it, use it.... ANYTHING that will give ya an edge (which im sure that monster certainly did) is gonna help you reign supreme in combat..

Rawthorm losing this raven, was as certain as the sun coming up in the morning. He not only flew it into 0.0, but frequently used it as bait. If I was a betting man, I woulda bet all my isk in game the raven wouldn't have made it passed a month. I don't think anyone who saw him flying it woulda taken my bet though. 
Using it as bait was also the only time he treated it as anything else. Their was no hiding in safespots with scouts making 1000000% sure it was safe to warp to the gate or whatever.
Did he know he would lose it soon? Yes.
Did he care? No.
Would he have liked to fly it a little longer? You bet your bottom dollar. It was AWESOME!
Did this win or lose the war for either parties involved? LOL, of course not.
If he could go back in time, now that he has seen it die, would he choose to leave it in empire? I don't think so.

When I see all these alts flame the shinra guy for loosing his navy raven I feel pity for you. You should really consider getting a new life. Loosing a ship ingame is to me like loosing a thought IRL, I will always get a new one. Maybe not as good but still a new one.
The ship had a great value of isk but if you only have it because its expensive you are to greedy. And greed is never a good thing.
GG for using it like a real pvper Rawthorm.

We had a RL drink with Raw a week ago. He knew he would lose it, of course he would. He always offered to be bait and that wasnt through stupidity but through balls.
Whats the point of haveing X bn in your wallet? Honestly? If you can have 5x as much fun for a few weeks, who gives a **** about virtual fairy money.
Raw deserves more respect that the entire corps of many people who have posted here.

It really is a waste of these ships if all they do is sit in a hangar somewhere. Like when the Gold Magnate got destroyed, much better that than never ever undocking it.

I think its pretty sad that anyone would do anything else in this thread other than give props to the Raw and to the FA pilots that took him down.
He could of logged at anytime, as it took over 5 minutes to take him down, but he stayed on, fought for it. Who can blame him for asking for tapi, but FA did what they had to do.
Some pretty sad idiots in this thread imho, doing nothing other than embarrasing themselves and their corp with their stupid immature gloating attitudes, and as some pointed out, some of us wouldnt even risk 100 mill isk frighates, let alone an 9 billion isk battleship.
