yes lol its kind of a weird storry but i just wana see if its true (the navy issue raven that droped 2.2 billion isk worth of navy mods and blew up with 6 billion worth of mods +the ship it self?) it was a shinra one....So how does shinra feel about this?Suplying the enemy with 20BS worth of stuff .Not bad might i add

lol the locals in tipar poded me with a free implant i got from escrow (armour rep 3% thing) 4m isk clone and a bunch of named guns.....that apart from the stuff i have (true sanchas extravaganza of loot) and 1.5billion isk + 7 armageddons fited exacly like that one all fully insured...Those locals in tipar did a good job

I have to say the title of the post is misleading. Before I clicked on the link, I thought there was a big battle in which those ships were lost and the captured battleships were in a safespot or something.
Instead, its someone gloating about ganking one bs that was heavily outnumbered. The lost items are pricey, but this sort of thing happens in eve all the time. |

Simple words. It is a game. He used that CNR as it was damn well intended to do. Personally, I get my excitement from flying overly expensive modules on my ships as well, and id damn well fly a CNR around if I had one. I dont care about its overall isk value, its a damned game. That's one of the things about EVE. If you aren't careful you can truthfully lose something you worked a long time to acquire. That keeps most people from risking something invaluable...
Props to someone who invested the time to gain something invaluable and then prove that it can blow up like any other ship. Well done. 
Wish I could have seen the thing in space, would have been fun to watch it fight to see what sort of damage it could dish out and take. Care to comment on how well it performed as opposed to a "regular" Raven?

Rawthorm was entirely philosophical about this loss in TS. I've been more upset when Ive lost normal apocs. Full props to him for doing something literally noone else would dare.
Zelota, since you, your corp and your alliance had NOTHING to do with this event, its sad that you felt the need to spam about it.
I think a cursory inspection of the killboards say all they need to say about quite how well YOUR group are doing :).

There you go into battle with a ship that is worth 8 bil, and 10% more effective than when using market stuff. When you would have used a ship with gear thats 2% more effective you could have bought 10x 2% more effective ships, bw...aaaahahahaaa.

i know its probably not near it, but tbh most of atuk have made money fighting fa. the amount of recharger 2's and tech 2 guns they drop is amazing.
the shinra guy had balls using that raven i just hope that after getting these modules you maybe use the isk to buy some ships and come play again.

Well done guys I know how hard you guys worked to get that CNR, I am sorry that you do not seem to be getting the deserved respect here on the forums but do not let that bother you it was still a good kill and expertly done.
To everyone else
I cannot go into operational details about how FA got the CNR but will say it took skill, patience and and extraordiary amount of imagination in coming up with some clever tactics. And I hope that even FA's enemies can appreciate the way they got this kill.. I am sure that Rawthorne did not slowboat up to a gate just asking to be ganked and the hunt was as tough as he could make it. Maybe you had to be there to appreciate just how FA apply there way of fighting, I have to admit it takes more imagination that our normal camp a gate or jump into a camped system (a la) the rest of us [:roll:
So respect to Rawthorne and to FA you both deserve it for different reasons

It was in combat for a couple of weeks, and despite the fact it won't of killed as many ships as its actual value, it was involved in a fair few fleet battles. As a loss it really has not hurt our corporation much, as it was purchased from his personal mountain of isk. Hopefully it will inspire FA to fight a bit more. Anyway props Raw ballsie fighting in that ship, its quite ironic how many ALTS have flamed him on the boards as a result of the loss.

This is what surprises me about BoB corps flying so closely with Shinra.
Shinra repeatedly give their enemies easy kills because they are not as well skilled as BoB corps. I guess thats why BoB dont let Shinra use their killboard
Looking at BoB killboard shows they absolutely spanked FA this weekend and looking at FA kills they never managed to kill hardly any BoB ships but did kill a lot of Shinra as usual.
Props for taking into 0.0 though

Having a ship like that and not using it in combat is offensive. Unless you intend it for usage in some events and actually make work of that factions ships should be in combat, not hangars.

kawa from votf summed it up very well. I'm sure it wasn't your normal kill and i think the pilot deserves respect for flying into the game; As most bob has said( i think they have a good grasp on the game itself) It's a game.. no matter the cost or time. The guy could meet a model bioch tomorrow and stop playing eve..or becoem a dwarf on WOW what has he lost at the end of the day? Nothing.
So all around props to FA for getting the kill i hope something good dropped from the ship:).. and well i'm suprised that raven made it through some of them star gates with the balls hanging that low...

First off, great respect to Raw for taken that awesome ship into a fearsome battlezone, let alone fitting it as a killing machine instead of as a running machine. And that leads me to my next point. Isn't it tragic and symptomatic that all the alts/FA guys/XETIC guys are laughing and taunting him, when you consider that if they ever got their hands on a ship like that, they would only mine/npc in it in 0.5 systems and above. But then again, its the same pilots that fits +4 wcs's on their battleships when they enter combat and even got wcs's on their frigates . Go figure

Rawthorm losing this raven, was as certain as the sun coming up in the morning. He not only flew it into 0.0, but frequently used it as bait. If I was a betting man, I woulda bet all my isk in game the raven wouldn't have made it passed a month. I don't think anyone who saw him flying it woulda taken my bet though.
Using it as bait was also the only time he treated it as anything else. Their was no hiding in safespots with scouts making 1000000% sure it was safe to warp to the gate or whatever.
Did he know he would lose it soon? Yes.
Did he care? No.
Would he have liked to fly it a little longer? You bet your bottom dollar. It was AWESOME!
Did this win or lose the war for either parties involved? LOL, of course not.
If he could go back in time, now that he has seen it die, would he choose to leave it in empire? I don't think so.

When I see all these alts flame the shinra guy for loosing his navy raven I feel pity for you. You should really consider getting a new life. Loosing a ship ingame is to me like loosing a thought IRL, I will always get a new one. Maybe not as good but still a new one.
The ship had a great value of isk but if you only have it because its expensive you are to greedy. And greed is never a good thing.

He could of logged at anytime, as it took over 5 minutes to take him down, but he stayed on, fought for it. Who can blame him for asking for tapi, but FA did what they had to do.
