Was that last part intentionally directed at CCP or was that just a complete coincidence?
Once you get past the crappy mic quality in the beginning, the voicework seems like it fits right in in most spots. Bit soft in a few areas.

I find EVE to be quite upbeat!... Reality IS the Dystopia!
EVE: 1. People talk and co-operate 2. Economy works 3. Currency is stable 4. Each person has a home, and some kind of employment or means of earning income.
Reality: 1. People are isolated and never speak to eachother. 2. Economy is in a wreck. 3. Currency is a wreck. 4. Homelessness, Unemployment, etc...
I sign on to EVE to avoid the dystopia that is presented to us daily on the "news" and by the "politicians"

Dude. I could load a movie into you and watch it against a wall, you're that good at projecting. I made the damn thing, I know what themes are and are not intentionally there.
Among other things, I'm pro-NeX, so I'm definitely not going to have a jab at it. I'm more likely to have a jab at you for trying to turn everything you see into a discussion about the things that bug you.
This is a video made for the joy of how pretty some of EVE's trailers are, for exploring the philosophy of the universe, and for love of the game and setting. nothing more. Stop trying to make it be about your crusade, because it isn't.

Welcome to being an artist m'lad. You've made something sufficiently powerful and deep that it means different things to different people.
I don't see a jab at CCP's NeX, because I don't see NeX as an attempt at a utopia, but I do see a declaration of steadfastness against anything that is not new and vibrant, so I see a jab at their refusal to redo faction warfare etc.
Anyway, its a bloody good video, and I think the mic muffling adds to the effect. The voice acting falls down mainly when too much of your own accent comes through, but its only jarring in one or two places, which is very impressive for a first go at voice acting.
Bookmarked!

You linked to the longest portion of the video with no voiceover, which is footage straight from the "Future Vision" video. I'm sure you think there's a point in there somewhere, care to elucidate?
As for Stitcher, thank you for an awesome production! Echoing the opinions of Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg is not a bad thing :)

Damb Stitcher, that's pretty pro. I like it.
If I had a criticism, it would be that the subtitles feel out of place. The classic white text on black bar at the bottom would be best IMO.

How is anyone saying this is good? Its just a load of CCP trailers with a (weak) voiceover and its in the wrong forum section, which it seems as long as your crap video ends up on EVE IS WOTwilightbeta.net doesn't matter anymore.
My Eve is has been churning out good videos for years, CCP release some cheap advertising site and there are no extra good videos being made but hundreds of rubbish ones diluting them.

While this holds up for eve as a video game, this video does seem to be presented in-character. I doubt your character would take cloning so frivolously if he realized you don't actually get reborn, you just get copied. When a capsuleer dies, they don't wake up in a pod. They die, and someone else - an entirely separate consciousness who looks and thinks exactly like them - wakes up in a pod and continues their business.
At least, this is what I've drawn from the "backstory" material on cloning.
Humans are selfish, and I doubt anyone would ever find consolation in their own death just because they know someone else is going to be managing their crap after they die, not to mention all the ship crews and people without clones.
Peaceful eve would make a **** video game, no doubt about it, but from what I would hesitate to call a "roleplay" perspective I can't imagine there is any sane character in the entire eve universe who doesn't want conflict to end so they can have largely risk-free lives.
Want to add that I'm not a roleplayer of any description, just a media critic hobbyist, and your plot has holes.

Quote: I'm not a roleplayer of any description...
Clearly not. If you were, you'd know that it's not good roleplaying etiquette to dictate how you believe another player's character would behave.
"I flap my arms and fly to the top of the wall." "You're a dwarf. that's physically impossible." is valid.
"I accept the tavern wench's advances and let her lead me to my room with a bottle of the inn's finest mead." "Your character wouldn't do that!" is not.
Originally by: ****beardThePirate I doubt your character would take cloning so frivolously if he realized you don't actually get reborn, you just get copied. You're underestimating just how dramatically diverse people can be. Whether or not your interpretation is accurate, what's more important is how the character responds to it. The scientific reality that it is technically a very, very accurate copy with up-to-the-second memory of their life to date may not necessarily bother a person.
The fact that their atoms were being violently disassembled, converted into energy and then accurately reassembled somewhere else never seemed to bother anybody in Star Trek whenever they used the transporter, for instance. It's only a problem if you make it a problem in your head.
The character may believe that apparent continuity is as good as real continuity. He may not acknowledge the discontinuity at all. He may be religious, and believe that the soul survives such transmission, and that the clone is therefore still him.
He might just be a pragmatic sort who would say "well, I still feel like the same guy, therefore I'm the same guy. Don't bother me with fiddly philosophy". He might even relish his own temporary destruction as a manifestation of the chaos and upheaval that his philosophy glorifies.
Quote: ...just a media critic hobbyist, and your plot has holes.
A "plot hole" as I understand it is when there are absences in a narrative that fail to explain why the story took another, equally or more valid path. I don't see one here. The character's cavalier attitude to his own serial mortality is a personal quirk, not a failure of narrative logic. His speech is his opinion and his opinion, which is subjective, does not have to conform with your different, also subjective opinion. -

If offered any constructive criticism for future artistic development, I would say that in the latter half of the vid the pace of the narrative could have been slowed just a tad bit for more emphasis. For example phase, "stagnant... static...forever" could have been drawn out a bit more for dramatic effect. Also the line "Do you disagree with me... Good" could also had a slightly longer pause for dramatic effect as well.
Not to say that the video isn't totally awesome nonetheless. I've watched it about 7 times just for the fun of watching it!
This seriously needs to be a commercial and the creator given some sortof bonus for such good work.

Just one suggestion... don't change the voice acting. The poor microphone gives you a radio-like sound which is very appealing, whereas a better mike would end up filling your acting with all kind of ambient noise.
Some titles look a bit off their way and of course you could use HD to your advantage but it's a good video and grasps what CCP intended to do when they cared about excellence.

Did you know that in order to become a capsuleer you have to die? We don't care about that nonsense anymore - we're not who we were before our infomorph was implanted in a new body that happened to have all the appropriate implants in place. You surely didn't think they were surgically implanted?
Quote: At least, this is what I've drawn from the "backstory" material on cloning.
Here's my attempt at explaining the process, presented in character as my escape from slavery.
Quote: Want to add that I'm not a roleplayer of any description, just a media critic hobbyist, and your plot has holes.
Perhaps you need to familiarise yourself with the context of the role-play world that you're commenting on before you comment.
This isn't the real world. We're no deader after we get podded than we were before we were podded. We're no more alive when our consciousness is being burned into a new clone than we are when sitting down to tea with friends in that new clone body.
As capsuleers, meat is a necessary crutch to our existence, not the definition of that existence.

I did attempt to look that up, under the "scientific articles" on this website it explains that the process of cloning is just a brain scan, same as any you would get here in real life, only due to needing to be finished in the second or so your pod is breached, the radiation is rather strong and kills you. This very detailed .jpg of what your brain should look like is sent to the cloning facility and recreated. There were only a few chapters under the subject, stuff on the history of the pod as created by the Jovians and the process of being adapted for regular human use. There is nothing to suggest that the next "you" is still "you" in any way, shape, or form. Jump clones can be explained as merely memory synchronisation between sets of you, and there's nothing to suggest that two jump clones couldn't be active at the same time, continuing their business with no knowledge that the other is awake.
Of course, I'd be more then happy if someone linked me to something that does go into detail on these issues, also Stitcher you're right, I meant saying your character isn't believable as an opinion, not as an objective observation. Should have chosen my words more carefully.
