Does people still chain NPCs? Is the most effective way still to keep one NPC shooting at you while you kill all others.
Or is it more profitable to move around in the belts and kill?

The best way it to chain 4 or 5 spawns at a time if not more, find a good bs spawn kill all but one ship then move to the next belt killing all crap spawns . The spawns will move around and regen so be carefull not to blast a half regend spawn when blasting the crap spawns
If u do it right u can chain 10 to 15 bs spawns in one system but it does take time to set up

with the DoT of a bs, 50mill per hour looks like impossible to me, maybe 100mill a day.

Best way to chain:
Kill a few xetic members but let their pods live. They'll dock and buy a local ship. When they undock you kill them again, and again let their pods live. It's a blast
btw, i have respect for xetic and their fearless fighters. This was not a flame, just a joke. Care on!

Log your character off in JZV-F4. Log in and scan for a mining op. Warp to the belt kill the bs and start popping indys as they come in one by one full of local hull conversions. Way more than 50 mil per hour. ----------------------------------------- Heinky> Dont mix eve with rl it can be bad for your health |

Lol and then people consider NPC brainless...

Well the most lucrative chaining was when you could just warp to the last stage of some complexes and chain there. Boy did they looked funny when they found an ISD waiting there for them :)

the chaining sploit was when people would sit on the spawn point with smartbombs and blast everything except one npc that was shooting at them from outside smartbomb range, eventually teh spawn rate got really low like 1 ship every second or something, so you can see how that works. I don't know this first hand.

those 50m an hour was when you could sit 5/6 BS's with (sensored) in (secret)point popping off 10 BS's every minutte. They spawned like, every 2-3 sec because you could (another secret that whould get me in trouble)
Or when you could have 5 apocs sit behind a rock popping like mad-dogs with all the enemy missiles hitting the rock going b00m.

yeah, easiest is to take a 20 or more belt system with as low sec rating as possible and if possible a station in it.
Then take two BS's, hope belt to belt and kill every spawn that has no BS's, but leave one ship alive in every that has like 2 BS or better in it.
Keep that up for 5 hours and youve got liek 15 out of 20 belts filled with respawning dual BS spawns.
The trick is pretty old already by now. Used to do this about 3/4 of a year ago already when ccp removed the old chaning mechanics.
But tbh, you earn the most by doing this one one account and having another hop from belt to belt, system to system untill it runs into an officer.
One officer = 3-5 days of constant hunting worth of isk.

Lols for Bsspewer and Shin Ra :)
Anyways, only problem I ever have with chaining is that there's never enough BS rats around to do it with... and that the most interesting piece of loot they drop is generaly a 1MN AB... but hey, the bounties are nice :) ------------
/me wants a restart firing after reload macro to save some effort when shooting at stations for hour after hour after hour... (EEEP! don't ban me!!!111oneoneone) |

I love chaining the "Triple Stain Battleship Spawn," "Quadruple Indy Spawn," or the ever elusive "Fedaikyn Naib Spawn." All of which can be found in HED-GP, and excellent NPC hunting system! ----------------------

The Fedaikyn Naib Spawn tends to appear with 6 or 7 other battleships. I'd have to say that the quadruple indy spawns that drops stations are my favourite, besides the "Logging off apoc with 400m of loot" spawn. ----------------------------------------- Heinky> Dont mix eve with rl it can be bad for your health |
