I am currently an amarr pilot in an abaddon training to fly a nightmare. However I also have a minmatar alt i would like to train for a machriel. These 2 characters i plan on dual boxing in level4s. With the nightmare tanking and the machriel being dps would this be a good combination?

Poor combination actually.
Both of the ships you named are capable of running missions solo. I do.

And running 5 characters in the same mission all with Machariels would complete it even faster.
You would make more money running them both in separate missions. Fact. You don't have to believe me. I mean...i have 10.0 standings with more than 1 level 4 mission corp. I run 4 characters 1 Nightmare 1 Machariel 1 Tengu 1 Ishtar all in level 4 missions. But i am sure you know more than me with your character that hasn't even made an avatar. You know that thing you have to make to even play the game. I have been here since 06. But go right on and play the assumption game. One day you will see that i am right.

How am i trolling. I have stated nothing but fact. You are posting with an alt. Alt = troll
You can run all level 4 missions solo with either the Nightmare or the Machariel and make more money than doing one at a time with both. That is simple fact. You are right to assume that finishing a mission with both the nightmare and Machariel would be faster. It would not be as efficient. But yes it is faster and less lucrative.
Maybe you are not taking a moment to think that after each mission you have to complete it. Perhaps you honestly believe that running two overpowered ships (for level 4s) is actually smart. Or most likely after reading your previous history you are a troll alt.

well after reading forums from several other people ive come to the conclusion your completely wrong and the optimal setup would be machriel + machriel. and id appreciate it if you didnt post on this topic again so kindly GTFO

Doubling the amount of ships in the mission does not increase profits as much as doubling the amount of missions run. You mentioned you had an amarr pilot going for a nightmare and an minmatar pilot going for a machariel. You also mentioned both. You never asked for optimal mission set ups in your op-topic.
Of course two machariels would be the fastest running the same mission. But two machariels running separate missions would be more lucrative. And using some basic knowledge of mission running and logic you should have came to the same conclusion.
Maybe you should gtfo. I posted with my main. Your alt has 0 sec status. Obviously 0 mission experience. Why do noobs come to the board and ask questions like this when they have not even used their characters in game yet.

Your best bet dual-boxing is that some missions are substantially better with two ships and others are not. I normally grab two missions (one with each character) and try for them both to be against the same enemy. Then, if it makes sense to use two ships (a high DPS mission with lots of E-War), I dual box. If both are easy missions, I run each mission simultaneously. --- This doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. Seems more like the rats are on fire, the ship is on fire, and the sea is full of drunk Russians. - Jacob Etienne |
